This topic has obviously changed to "Tell us some bad things about VF or Doa, depending on which you like more"

    and it goes like this:
    - "Do you like DOA?"
    - YES!" "It's way better than VF, cause it's so deep, that you can smell the beautiful inside! Not like crappy VF, which is too deep, and in which you can get lost like in mamooth's ass!"
    - "Thank You" "And You? Do you like DOA?"
    - "Fuck no! It's a shitty game in which even a retard can win! Fuck Doa, VF is better cause it's got lot's of options, and it's balanced 'n' shit. It's a game for adults. DOA has tits and asses for pervert kids."

    - "Thank You both" "I can now assure You, that You are complete fucktards, not able to even tolerate the existence of any other fighting game and its community, except for the game You play and community you claim you belong to." "Therefore there is only one solution...."
    :BANG: :BANG:

But that's just my opinion /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

not really...you cant have an opinion and say what other people are thinking. I like doa i think its cool i love the style I like the environments. But only to look at the tard camera will get stuck in the wall while your fighting. and there are tons of things i like about it the story is great I like the characters I like the women in doa which no other fighting game comes close to. And is everyone here comfterable saying they would never want doa xtreme? probably not, im not going to argue about the merits of a titty based volleyball being an actual videogame. But doa has redeeming qualities. Its just not a cpmetitive fighter like tekken sc or sf is. doa is cool its just more mortal kombat then it is street fighter if you know what i mean.

Like I said, I gave DoA a chance. Here in Japan the DoA community is limited to people who don't really know how to play fighting games competitively beyond a certain level. Even Mochi and Ley Type (2 of the best DoA players in Japan) say so about the people and system. If you don't believe me, if you have a Japanese XboX, just search for Japanese rooms... there's few.

And no, I'm not stereotypicaling (I hope that's correct english)
I am part of sc.com and comparing to doacentral, doacentral plus the majority of the good DoA players in USA have extremely arrogant, rude, stupid and bad mouth people. Except for 2 people I know, Manny and Chepelle. If Doacentral wants to be recognized as a decent mannered society, get rid of people like Tom Brady and start being nice and helpful.

And I don't think Virtua fighter or any game should copy a game that copied from them originally, specially when it's bad.

Anyhow, it's exciting to actually trying to learn VF, looking at the system as a beginner I already feel like this is a much better game for people who wants to win with skill.

If VF adopts DOA's stun system I will quit playing and shut this site down...

    HAHAHAHA!

A year ago I would have argued with you over that. But after playing VF for so long I now understand. Screw those stuns.

    Yuki-daruma,
" Its just not a competitive fighter like tekken sc or sf is. doa is cool its just more mortal kombat then it is street fighter if you know what i mean. "

I can appreciate that. And I agree. I'd have enjoyed DoA4 more as a fun little game, no more.

Ice-9 you don't like the slow escaping and the 4 basic counters + double stuns plus specific character 9 way counters? *snickers* (sarcasm)

Anyways, since you are a long time member, can you please tell me
where I can find the very basics of VF? VF5 is my first VF.

    cheers

    CUz,

Thank you for the links, I'm actually quite familiar with a lot of the above links' contents. Except remembering the timing and frames and chara moves of course.

Would you please tell me moves to use for: Sarah and Pai?
    Or a link to them?

    Thank you again

It was indeed amusing, although how Jin and Hwoarang understood each other during their match was beyond my understanding XD That was priceless!!1!1ONE11!1

If this was Tekken vs. VF, maybe I'd speak up. But... Doa... Just one word: BOING.

How deep is deep is deep enough for me?

If I am Corky Sherwood, than Rouchambeau is complex enough to last me forever. Add 10 IQ points and I will play DOA.

I am oversimplifying, but read the forums at DOA central, or listen to the people on Xbox live. They are stupid. Maybe a handful aren't, but it says something when by and large, the people who play a game are so dumb and obnoxious and illiterate.

Those replays posted elsewhere of the DOA tournament were just embarrassing for participant and viewer alike. They hold up a deep dark truthful mirror to the doa "community."

    ice9: ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!

DoA's slow escape stun system is perhaps the only thing that truly turns me off.
