akira vs jacky - jacky gets side hit, then axe kick to bounce for a really strange combo

bounce just keeps looking more and more ridiculous

Wait till you see the all combos. They are more ridiculous.

I just watched the combo in the video. It's a bounce from a side crumple. This is just like any OTB combo from previous games, except now they bounce up. I don't think it's anything ridiculous.

This is an example of an untechable bounce. You can tech bounces if you are knocked down from the air.

I think the most absurd thing is Kage's triple spike TFT combos... I mean with Pai or Blaze I could understand, but watching Wolf or Jeffry bouncing up and down like that is just dumb...

Are you sure? Do you have any clips where this is done? What is the command, just [P]+[K]+[G]? The timing must be strict, I always try to recover from spikes during air combos without any luck...

well, if I didn't read it wrong, but white book says you can tech alot of different things now.

Even Lion's 66KK after the first kick in OTB combos.

I remember when VF4 first surfaced, everyone thought the yellow flashes and struggle icon looked ridiculous. Now...no one says a thing.

I still think the struggle icon looks ridiculous.

I also think that while it looks "neat", and probably adds fun and excitement, it is pretty silly.

I wish they'd found a more realistic idea for a new mechanic, combo-related or otherwise.

It makes the game even more "gamey" to me, more like Tekken and DOA, which had this already.

I don't have PhoenixDth's stamina. There's only so much harping of the same tune that I can output.

Jin does an OM-P through Chibita's low rising sweep and lands a backstagger.

This is worth checking out... It was a follow up to Jin's [4][K]+[G] hit throw... This left Chibita facing down, which might have something to do with it...

Anyway there are a lot of new Jin clips up all of which are worth checking out... Anyone who wants to see how to play VF5 Kage should check them out...

Noticed at around the 1:38 mark [ pe ] whiffs a throw only to have it connect? Looks like he whiffed the throw then immediately connected a 0-Frame throw after recovery.

If that's what it is I can't wait to try out the 0-Frame throw - it's going to be killer against players that freeze-up.

334 and 335 has really interesting wolf back attack setups
it seems the new HCB airtoss throw cant ring out on shortwalls.

336 has a really fun FT match if anyones interested.

the real interesting implication is that Hit Throws now work during KDs?

If this is universally true (not just for Wolf), and can also be done from the front, it's a BIG change.

Yeah, especially since high damage can be acheived anyhow with striking attacks. It becomes a no brainer with Wolf to deal great damage in this situation. Pretty nifty.

been a while since I seen a minami clip. anyone know if he is playing vf5 or not? we have seen inochi, homestay, mukki, ohsu, and a few other power house akiras. But no minami step yet. I am very curious to see his approach to using vf5 akiras arsenal.
