GVN Winter Brawl 2009 Feb 28th Philly, PA

Ok got a bit of a dilemma here. Any way you can post game start times Hubbs, and how late the event is running? The 2nd round of the Gamestop tourney is on this exact day in delaware at 2pm. So I gotta get there and then drive to philly when its done. It MAY mean missing the VF tournament, but I'm definitely showing up for some casuals at least, as long as the event is still going by the time I show up.

 

I'll be competing in Gamestop Round 2 tourney as well but that is not the main factor for me not going.

I'm going to stay close to the city so I can be with my friends to celebrate our birthdays. (3 of us 2/28-3/1 )

 

My official starting times for each of my games.

SC4 teams - 2pm or if Jaxel decides to start it later.
SC4 Singles - After Teams
DOA3 and DOA4 Tag - 2pm
DOA4 - after tag
Tekken5 and VF5 - 4pm

Reason why I do not mention teams for Tekken is because I haven't seen enough interest in the game. But this can change if enough people show up by starting teams at 4pm instead.

 

Anyway I got some more important info in regards to food and parking.

When you arrive at the hotel bring in the ticket and get it vaildated at the counter. DO NOT WAIT til the last minute to get it validated. The hotel will not enjoy being bumrushed by 30 people for validation. Parking will also cost $6 for the whole day.

Now for food. You are not allowed to bring outside food into the Hotel. Food is prohibited from the tournament ballroom area. You can eat your food in the lobby. Also I have scanned and uploaded the menu from the hotel's resturant. Read it for an idea of prices.

BGs to the VF community. Five people showed up, FIVE? And half of them had left by the time I got there. Didn't even get to play casuals. This just makes me wanna focus on SF4 even more, when you can't get more than 5 in PHILLY.

Anyhow, it was a great event hubbs. I'm glad I showed up even though I was late. Had a ton of fun! Thanks again for at least trying to keep the VF guys goin /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
