I've never been to a tournament of any kind, but I'd like to check it out. Is it normal for people to just come and watch?

I don't have a stick yet so I'd like to just watch and see some cool VF players duke it out

Yeah, I guess I'll give it a shot. I expect to lose cause I know what it's like to be on the bottom rung of a game(Old Counter Strike player here) so it should be cool to just get a feel for things.

 

Yeah you can just play casuals like Yip said if you dont actually want to be in the tourney. Just dont play SC4!

Hi. I signed up for this forum months ago but hadn't posted much. I might or might sign up for VF5 (kinda new) but I will surely be there for ant friendlies if anyone asks.

 

Truth! Any North East tourney without the VA crew would just be blasphemy. Lot of them seem to be into other stuff now but I hope they find the time for this. Need more hype!

Here's some directions provided from the sheraton. You can get the mentioned transportation at either 30th street, Market East station and Suburban Station.

If you guys are looking to save some money i would suggest taking the bus to chinatown in philly and walking to broad street (its about 16 blocks) and taking the subway southbound to oregon. Get off and catch the 68 bus going southbound and the sheraton suites will be the last stop. Its not a lot of thinking involved and its pretty cheap. ($24.00 round trip ticket from nyc and $2.60 to get on the sub and get a transfer so you can get on the bus to the hotel).

I would offer to pick people up but im livin in VA beach now.

 

Glad I'm not using the train again. NY travel was confusing. I just drive on up I-95, you can see the sheraton from the highway.
