And I'm pretty sure I shouldn't have made a post in this thread about FS console, but I thought it's good to let you guys know this news on this thread since players who still play the game usually come and check this thread.

Now that FS got announced there's finally motivation for me to get my game on again, hopefully there are people online. I'll be rusty but help me out in turning me back to the beast I used to be. [IMG]

GGs to all the people I played for the last month or so as always all the matches were great especially the matches with the people I don't play much like Rodnutz, AssassinCP, Akirazero, Weiland aka Bruce Banner etc. I really hope that the announcement will bring in new people willing to learn and or in some cases relearn the game. I played again 1 recently and I don't know his name but he played a great aggressive Jacky. GGs to all the people I will play in the next few months as well at least until FS comes anyway. The excitement is killing me right now.

    Thanks, Rodnutz.

We had really good matches that really exploited a few of my flaws as our session played on. I was either late and/or made the wrong guess with my GTE inputs. It's become a habit of mine to constantly input b+P+G against Kage, but you rarely did that throw and pulled off a few other ones instead. I was too stubborn to adapt to that. Plus I made some just plain dumb decisions during key moments late in some rounds that really hurt me.

I also had a marathon session with Real Mario EX and his hyper-aggressive Pai that Sunday night. Heh, I like to play fast but I actually had to slow myself down playing this dude.

And good games to A LOADED PSYCHO and GlossyDokodon.

Rocketblaze; thnks for coming to Canada to play VF5 offline. He took the plane all the way from Korea to San fran and drove 16 hrs to come Canada for VF.
    ( : .

lot's of fun playing and talking VF. Goh vs EL blaze was very very intense nobody talked much while playing.. Offline the matches seem to last much longer since Fuzzy G works so both of us seemed to never get thrown or hit by mid up close, I feel online i have to work so much harder cus fuzzy G sometimes messes up due to lag or how late they hitchecked and reacted. But offline, i have many many chances becus i know ill hardly get hit by a mid or thrown. the only difference i felt offline, was it felt much slower offline; i had sooo much time in the world to do what i wanna do, most noticable was fuzzy G/eteg. I had to slow down my play offline, took only 5 games to adjust. the matches would be longer because harder to get thrown or hit by mids. (it felt like i had a longer health bar, and i have had much more second chances. ONline say if i fuzzy 9 times 1 rd, ill prob get thrown or hit by a big mid when i really shouldnt a good amt of time. ( ex, i played a goh online yesterday he FUZZY Guard after a shrm which is not legit, but it ducked my throw, but had i reacted faster and guessed the lag and inputted a lil faster during the finish of recovery i would have thrown, so i have to be much quicker).. I have a lot more time doing an extra TE during ETEG, i was able to Fuzzy into eteg on reaction vs anticipation or beat delay throws with 2p on reaction easily, and jab toss / 2p into throw offline is super duper easy to deal with offline. overall im very pleased on how much stronger i am offline. Anyways, wow his OM setups are amazing. I saw el blaze, OM MY DM P+K which is my full circular mid, k, 2p, p, etc etc.. pretty much 90 PERCENT of my move list. So it was weird how i had to deal with the situation. Even 446P DELAYED single palm.. But at the end, it seemed, backdash and a delay on top of a delay seem to hit the OM; wierd cus normal delay with say 11 33 didnt hit sometimes??. had to 11 33 pause then INPUT command. riskiest option but the best looking option was backdash in to basara, i wonder if that would work vs lions uppercut, probably. the best part was i felt i could finally play my game, where i didnt have to think of manners or worry abare etc because anything goes offline. So i was able to implement things i felt uncomfortable abusing online. 3 full intense days of offline VF5 was a very good experience. When 2 asian ppl play vF its very very very quite..lol. Noone seemed to talk much during gameplay. Goh vs EL blaze was very intense, back and forth and outcome was close, but end of the day i lost but im very pleased with my perfomance (dont usuallly care who wins or loses as long as i am able to bring my A game, which i felt i brought), his OM usage was crazy /spacing/ and okizeme wake up games were very good and things i havent seen in wake up before. His el blaze and berserk9 is the best el blaze i know. Goh vs eileen, i had alot of problems early game. then i did ok, but lost. AGAIN Eileen's OM properties and how he used it was good to. Also had Eileen mirrors, it went ok for me in the beginning then it was lights out and i got beat bad in the end. Same with brad vs shun, started off good then in the end his Shun took over and took my brad apart. Learnt alot of brad info and theories of VF. i should stop wasting time with subs as much, and now just get ready for FS goh. one of things i noticed when i play high level players is that, Rock paper scissor nobody can always win in that situation, u dont have to be in that situation if u dont have to be. if ppl know how i play goh recently, u prob know how I implement that. the best part though of 3 days of VF was the announcement of VF5FS. I woke up in the morning checked VFDC, and learnt that VF5Fs was coming, i thought i was dreaming. i told rocket and he thought he was dreaming too. ur welcome anytime in BC, hope i can come to Korea and JAPAn next yr because i really really wanna play VF5 there soon. One of the nicest people you could meet, at first i never held an offline gaming type of event so i was hesitant but maybe i should do more offline meets in the future as it turned out well. I hope you dont think of Canadians as this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPS2l5fQ55A ..... lol, thats what he saw when he wiki'd canada..

I also watched him play VS, ASSASSINCP, GAMEZTRIX, megadeth from australia but was too laggy and few others which was interesting matches to watch. good finally talking to WEI and STL TIM , shiny its been a awhile.

CANT WAIT FOR VF5FS THANK YOU SEGA!!!!!!!!!!!!! time to start the VF5S learning soon. ( :

    @Mackfactor

    Holy wall of text, batman!

Not sure what's more impressive - the sheer volume of words you've managed to mangle together into one monstrous paragraph, or the fact that I read it all, word for word! [IMG]

I remember playing Rocket online once, and the lag was pretty bad I thought, but it was one of those situations where you just didn't want to stop and kept convincing yourself you could adapt enough to make it enjoyable.

But one of the lasting things I remember about his play style was how strong and effective his abare style was, especially with El Blaze. I can't remember if I was playing Akira or Brad, but I would remember so many times hitting him with PK, and his forward roll from disadvantage would somehow avoid my elbow followup.

BTW, Blaze's OM is borderline broken IMHO [IMG] it has insane range and coverage!

GGs to Manji. Haven't played you in ages, was loads of fun. When you switched from Pai to Jacky and sent me that message "It's hard without an elbow" my girlfriend thought you literally had no elbow. It was pretty funny. Enjoyed the games and hope to get more in soon.

Ggs to Blossy. Sorry about just mashing that string, when I first noticed you getting caught out by it I just started smashing it again and again. The trick to beating Jacky players who mash strings is simply to duck when he goes for it.

Ggs to whoever else I have played recently. [IMG] Glad that the FS announcement got ppl playing again [IMG]

I had to laugh at this. Yes, you should be online more often. [IMG]

ps. You duck a lot, thats why I had trouble with Pai. Was somewhat easier once I got to stagger you.

GGs to Flash, inasmuch as we can play on intercontinental connection. [IMG] I appreciated it anyway. I ended up doing lot of random shit because of the connection.

GG's to sowderjamie and Chief Flash, you two were a big help for knocking out some of that 1 year rust off. Game has a certain sweetness to it now that I know FS is coming out.

Your wolf is as fierce as I last remember it to be, your still the chief of wolfs yes.

I'd like to shout out foreign players just having fun and joining my sessions. I do not mind at all. Online is a social experience and I'd like to just play anyone. I would prefer a good connection, but I'm not going to turn down a 1 bar challenger. It's all in good fun. GG's guys.

I'd like to encourage those looking for good connections to seek out challengers with similar ping. If you don't care then host up. Enjoy the ride online and don't take it too seriously.
