Good Games Thread

GGs to everybody I played in the last few days. I have a little free time so I have played a lot in the last couple weeks.

Black Bauer Lau vs. Lau is fun. I actually get brain fatigue against Denkai. More than vs anyone else I have to mix up my attacks to even stay close to breaking even.

Shirt, good matches. I am surprised that the connection is a s good as it is considering you are on the west coast. Pretty amazing actually.

Konjou, I don't think I can play you effectively with anybody but Lau. The defense, pokes, and evade cancelling kill my Jeff. Lau has his 66 pk low sweep and 8kk to deal with what my Jeff just doesn't have the chops to deal with. And I feel like a whore when I use Jeff's 443p all the time to try and cope.

ANd ggs to methyldine and Thewall and shadoolord and SF 3rd strike and grusselgrosser and everybody else.

Okay, I have to get this off my chest:
Most of the high level people that still linger around on this game have some sort of issue where if someone isn't good enough for them they start fooling around and acting silly in matches.

In all honesty, i SUCK at this game... and with full awareness of this i put my all into getting better. but i'm having a hard time sticking to this game again when everyone i run into stops putting 100% into it because sometimes I can't get a round off on people.

I currently got back into VF and am using pai and a little bit of jeffry while i get comfortable with my arcade stick. Even though my execution is shit, and i STILL CAN'T BREAK THROWS TO SAVE MY LIFE, I want some intense matches that make me think. So i beg of you - please refrain from "Not Trying"

I did not sign on to be bullied and i didn't sign on for you to "go easy on me" Sure i'm gonna whine, sure i'm gonna moan, but believe it or not, that's how i learn. so for EVERYONE I played this past week, the games played up to the point where you weren't trying were GREAT! Sorry I couldn't get into the swing of things fast enough to hold your interest, but if you could next time, please keep trying and stop trolling.

Nothing bugs me more than when I play have a spirited bunch of matches with someone only for them to message me afterwards like "oh btw i wasnt trying"

 

This happens every so often with me too since the character I use isn't exactly a heavy hitter and end up losing most of the time (But by no means am I a weak player). Simple solution, end the match and go on to the next person. Yes it sounds tedious but there isn't much you can do. Best to find people who give you great and intense matches and stick with them.

i already do that, but the problem with that is that they are actually really good, n i wanna play them... it fucking SUCKS

 

I played you today and i think your Pai is pretty good cause your still very sound defensively.. I know i was trying my hardest to destroy you but you held up pretty well. Except for the occasional backdash then re-enter when im a bit composed strat. I Must give credit though You fought inside pretty good lol. I was playing MVC3 because i could'nt find a game in VF and got spanked so i came back and seen you so i was trying to get back into rhythm. GG's to you though Sir and i never got to Text you cause i started a set with Tiripsem right after.. Atleast on My End its all love.. I would'nt shake your hand in real life and crack jokes at tournaments with you then wait to get on Xbox live and act like a little hoe. I don't get down like that. Some people don't gauge my interest but people on my friendslist do.. Last i checked you were on that list Bruh thats why i wanted to get that set in.
BTW - Talk about you not breaking throws HUH i could'nt break the ending directional throw and was frustrated. GG though still anytime you want to play hit me up I will go all out.

there were 8 ppl in the party yesterday. Kanbu thnks for the talks about eileen, i have learnt alot from you and i got another guy gonna show me stuff with eileen. Rocketblaze, learning eileen together for the past couple days, theres so much things that eileen we are finding ( eileen ducking highs at -3 is funny with 6p cl JA, OP = BRA). its very hard to switch back to goh afterawhile and block. i need to get better at hit confirming CH and NH with SHRM and memorize the combos, she has soo many stance specific ones ( i also gotta stop doing shrrm at small disadv and play more seriously because i do it way too often, but shrm is sooo fun, like mule kick). Memorizing is 1, 2 is muscle memory.

Very solid player and I think he is strong on any character.

but they play really late and they all speak japanese no english, and i play late as well. usually if i play early i set up a game on VFDC, or play dennis or wei.

 

ggs to the following legends of this game. Dennis0201, StlTm, Kruza, XxRodnutzxX, White Wolf, assassincp, Texas Lion, Happy FriendLau, Air Jacky, the sea of jackies out there, and anyone else out there that I played recently. I feel my main flaws are my get up game, my evasive properties, reversal and throw heavy attempts, hit confirming, and being able to read opponents.
If any one hasn't noticed yet I've been on every day for the last month so I'm always looking to improve.

 

Keep practicing... Don't stop and get discouraged.. You can learn something from every loss. Don't forget spending time in the Dojo can help you get over a few hurdles. Please never forget Youtube is a excellent source to learn tips and strat from some of the high level players in japan.

Wolf's 46P+K is too slow, even you have 2P CH but it's still not a connected combo. I assume you are using a pad cuz I saw your wolf was waving while input GS.
