atleast any other rank below master has the ability to fight ranks SIMILAR to it. for example, if you're 8th dan, u can fight 6,7,8,9, and 10th to earn ranking points. as master, you're ranking points are restricted only to 10th dan, and if you lose once, you immediately get demoted. so yes, very frustrating when someone takes master away from you and run off with it! grrrrrrr

 

Major props to Faded Film. We had some good matches, back and forth bouts. My Wolf/El Blaze were doing their thing until you pick that INSANE Kage of yours. He had Kage doing the electric boogaloo. Crazy, homeboy was up-rocking. No 10 game winning streak for you LOL. I need more pratice against Kage, I could handle your Goh, but Kage? Fuck no. I'm playing with Kage again, I'm inspire. Oioron, time for some SPARRING sessions! Good stuff brother.

That's really nice of you to say but mostly I was just pulling out all the shit I knew someone who was unfamiliar with Kage would struggle with. His mix ups are insane until you get used to them, and even then they're awesome. You should have picked Blaze then neither one of us would have had a clue what what the other guy was doing. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

You still held your own though, I totally gave up on fuzzy near the end as I was just eating low throws all day long. I got caught with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif so many times too. I really need to start using that when I play wolf.

Win or lose I had a great time playing with you and hope we get the chance to do it again soon.

I beat you with centuries old VF tactics, b8 and punish.
Thing is most of those tactics lose to more technical
VF play. The thing is I've read your posts and after losing
so badly you kept on going which is hot. Reminds me of me
before I got old and gnarly =)

Learn all that fuzzy guard, TTEG/ETEG and all those acronyms. To be more specific: LP and 1K will get you killed. You developed a pattern to quickly based on unsafe highly punishable moves. I started playing with the same moves near the end there that's why you kneed me like 20 times lol.

yeah, this was a very frustrating process to go through, thankfully I'm on the Warrior end of it now, hoping to not get de-moted...

When I was Master, every time I met a 10th dan who I liked, I'd offer to play until one of us hit Warrior, and played w/ many cool people along the way (even those who were busy & didn't want to try, I know I offered it to Konjou & SumoTX). JHow, Faded, and finally DaiBison were all extremely cool, never ran w/ the rank when they had it, and DaiBison finally put me over the edge w/ my last 3 wins to get Warrior.

Get this: During the final match for me to get Warrior, we DC'd after I won the first round. We re-matched, and DaiBison even gave me the first round again, so cool of him that I felt bad!

In a few more months, we'll all be topped out at the hightest rank anyway, w/ no way to rank down, so enjoy the drama while it lasts!
