    GGs to you too!

Jeffry can really hurt you if he gets a hold of you, so I had to make sure that I was moving around constantly in order to avoid his grabs. While you did catch me with them, I learned a couple of things about avoiding down attacks after his throws from our games together.

    Thanks!

GG's to Melsted - Nice Akira...Pure Power Moves will work for only so long my man.
Counter are not the answer or short term patch for defense. you quit when i got to a certain point. Not even declining a rematch quit but a pull quit lol!! don't worry though i believe you will learn from you mistakes.

GG's to Mitsuruga - Nice Eileen. With all due respect I kinda got turned off when you started spamming and backing up doing dances to trying to get wins with annoying bait and whiff tactics. hate me for it but i kinda felt insulted by that (I don't know why.)
Still did'nt get the job done because i manage to catch on to it. Before i would've become frustrated and charged right in.

MackFactor, I see that you're going through a phase where you're trying to implement new things to your game and I like it. I like seeing players going through phases where it feels like I'm not even playing the same guy I fought a couple of weeks ago [IMG]

Belligerent Feck, long time no play. As usual, I had a blast. It's been so long since we play that I can't tell what happened but I did notice that for the first time ever we had full bars [IMG] The connect itself was a lot better than I remember too.

beligerent feck, nice akira man. Your movement was nice, and you were a lot better than i realized.

happyfriend lau, haha, that was a tell of two streaks. you jumped out and looked like you weren't gonna lose, then i jumped up and did the same. Nonetheless, don't think i get the bighead. I realized most those games were really close, and a few of my wins came by luck. look forward to playing again.

    GG's dr familia.
Ya im trying to implement some new stuff with goh. 1) I been trying to be completely random, so u see 1 flow chart, u prob wont see it for awhile... testing out OM P on different flows and seeing how i can get around ppl with OM K. For some reason i couldnt DM cancel into OM K around for backstagger, usually i can pull it off most of the time consistantly.. oh i know why i couldnt get around u with OM K, u were doing full circulars lol. 2) mostly testing out low sabaki's has been my experiment for awhile now, once i can execute it well, ill tone it down a bit on the low sabaki's once i feel more comfortable, took me awhile for me with the OM K backstagger. im so in love with his low sabaki, too bad their gonna tone it down in vf5r ( IMO ). But i like how its faster than a crouch fuzzy ( i can go under a throw up till -10 i think with low sabaki), doesnt throw clash, and basara after etc. Also its a 0 frame throw, and i like how its kinda like that P, crouch fuzzy into a throw. To me the low sabaki has so many different options besides low punch. I can finally do basara 90 percent of the time now :). I have a wierd tendacy to keep trying the same move until i feel comfortable with it, and the low sabaki ill use it less when im done testing, and i feel like im almost done the testing. OMP, i been using it after say a pk on HIT, and it goes around alot of moves.. i just dont really know how it works yet.. i know the flowcharts that i can OM P, but i dont know why it works yet..lol
    3) I do alot more jab toss, 2p's alot more now. b4 i used to feel guilty about the 2p's online and didnt do it much, but i can back it up with knowing the properties of 2p and the math behind it. so if ppl mock me or complain i can msg them back and say why i do it. Watching fudo's wcg matches or arashi from vf4 evo, gauche/akape, even chief flash got excellent 2p flowcharts and i wanna incorporate that. After learning that i can 2p out throws even at huge disadvantage up till -10 i wanted to use it alot more ( 2p has faster crouching properties than a Crouch fuzzy), i just have to worry about being counter hit knee'd or something, but thats the chance i take for abaring, but at least i have a 100 percent ration of not getting thrown with 2p abare.

DR FAM, if theres anything i noticed in my gameplay that i can use to fight brad better let me know.. besides punishing brad and evading at right times, since i dont know brad yet, but i gotta start learning him...which i said i would, but havent ):.
Those were really good matches yesterday and u definately got the best brad ive faced. When i think of brad i think of random strings and spam.. Its so hard to tell between a good brad and a bad brad since they all kinda look alike. But ur brad bro I see how good it is. With goh, i like to shut down the basics and fundamentals of someones game.. like if i get hit by a 2p, ill mid sabaki, but i noticed u watched what i did, each flow i did and u remember well... making me doing random things each time, which made the game more intense and fun. I feel goh is on top when im making u do things, and im controlling the pace, ur offense and strings was definately controlling the pace that last game.

-the one thing i would like to do in our next session is rely less on low sabaki and mid sabaki. Sabaki's for goh is good if my yomi is better than ur gameplay.. but ur gameplay is better than my yomi, so i will rely more on abare and evading next time. At high level sabaki's become less and less useful.

GGS RODNEY GRIMES: PS DM PK AND 2p me more... with shun, cus it'll work on me.

GGs to Feck, that is the most patient I have played with JE ever I think. "GRRAAGHH!!! Jeff no like lunging Akira Ankle Punch!!" It was funny how we kept using semi-obscure moves over and over, me with threat p+k and you with that fucking twirly windmill thing...

Social Ruin, yeah crazy fights... I think i won the first 9 or twelve rounds and then lost nine straight. Lei offensive defense is crazy. 3p+k seems ridiculously useful, almost like a less risky DMPK. I think you are the hardest guy to beat who does not often hit check on 2p. Playing with Lei exclusively, I see how you could get in that habit. I hit check maybe half the time... the other half I assume it hits and just go for it.

Frakimus dude, you were persistent! Not a fair fight since ive been playin Jeff since VF3... They were fun fights though; you kept being aggressive and a bunch of them I won only at the very end with some lucky choices.

GGs to Marlyjay just now. It felt like at the start like we were both on fire, then you started multitasking and it was a little stop start but awesome none the less. Is it weird to write all this down even though I just played you [IMG] ha I know you'll read it, props dude.

You know whats nuts, during the middle of that I was pulling off E(triple)teg's to keep up with your random throws, max I can usually do is 2 lol.

Hahaha, that was quick Boris. GGs to you too mate.

I see you as one of my main rivals and we always have great matches that throw up something new and improve us both. sorry about that little period. We play quite a lot nowadays, so i'm going to have to come up with some new stuff for you [IMG]

GGs to Krye as well. You seem to have a magical ability to exploit my faults in a way that forces me to learn something. That delayed throw thing will come in useful [IMG]

Added a lot to my game recently (and lost the zenk flips [IMG] ). Still [IMG] [3][P]+[K] (blocked)-> throwing, but i'll fix that soon too.

    ggs so far today to:

Mackfactor, all ur subs are really solid. I hope u don't get discouraged playing ur subs vs my lei. Just make sure to be observant and take out some positive things bro.

Mitsugura, your eileen is a handful, and ur oki game really messes me up a bit.

FearlessWretch7, nice pai. You have some good setups man.

shaka zulu, played u the other day. ggs.

Hey happyfriend, after taken so long off from playing with lei, i do 3pk A LOT when trying to do 236pk. I guess i press pk too soon. However, as far as the properties of 3/9pk i've said before, that move is one of the best on the game. In relation to it being a better DM pk, well, most argue dm pk isn't very good, so... But more to your point, where it is inferior to dm pk, is that a lot of mids can shut it down to one side. For example, goh's 3p will close it down to the side that his fist is coming from. Don't know if u can really do anything with that info though, lol. It is a beast move though.

Nah i dont get discouraged, i honestly like to lose than i do winning.. if im winning, ill look for another match since im not gonna learn anything that way.
Ive always mentioned that I go through different characters like evry week to learn and fight them more... however my heart to do it so often as much as I did isnt there, since vf5r isnt gonna come out and tekken is out ( i like vf better, i basically betrayed Tekken to come to vfdc. lol ). But the characters i have studied and can play ok are
Lion, jacky, kage, shun, el blaze, lei ( which i credit alot to u, since u helped me learn about lei, u and vfnumbers) aoi n lau a lil, n vanessa only in defensive stance. I find lion alot of fun to play and abaring with him is fun but so very punishable. Jacky feels like lion, but safer. Kage/shun feel like tekken. El blaze was one of the easiest char to pick up and is pretty cool too. Lei, is a button masher for scrubs.. jk, nah. I got alot of respect for lei at high levels, he does kinda get worse at higher level once u know lei. with lei its easy to beat mediocre players, but very hard to play high level players. He's a tough character to learn... After our matches, i wonder why i didnt evade to ur stomach more.. or was it back... I forgot.. Akira reminds me of an offensive goh with tough inputs and is very fun to play, but frustrating because akira's input is hard. but i play him so i can get good joystick movement and input... After playing some akira, my basara is like 80-90 percent. I think im gonna learn brad n 1 more, and im done studying characters.. its giving me a headache. AND AT WORK THEY THINKING IM BUILDING A BOMB, because i bring frame data;s to work. someone asked me are u building a bomb, cus noone knows what all the circles and notes are on the sheet lol

Goh is my main and i dont have a second or 3rd, but i dont like playing goh too often. even with tekken i like to use alot of characters... it started off being indecisive about picking my 2nd and 3rd character why i play so many character.. then i convinced myself, since i put in effort to play alot of characters, might as well go all out n learn them all... but i realized, I dont have the time to do that as much, since the wife is thinking i like goh better than her lol n since I dont have time as much becus of work schedual.. i used to play alot since my company got hit by recession. n when i remember one characters frame data I forget the character the next. But i get a general knowledge of how to punish better now.

Neone that uses goh has my respect n i been hearing how much ur goh is getting better n better. PS, im trying to experiment with 2p flowcharts. I loved the way u effectively did 2p to me in a technical fashion. I wanna break away from a moral goh to a one that can be offensive and abare at right times instead of focusing on basics and punishing on reaction. Social ive watched watched fudo at wcg and their way of using 2p is good.. IRASHI goh in vf4 spams that shit like no tmr, n i realized that is something i gotta do shamelessly if i wanna take my game to a new level.

    question social.
ive asked cheif flash, kam, u, pretty much evrybody on their ways to break staggers. I can break most staggers, but lei's stag, wolf stag.. are soo hard to break.. Is there a way in dojo where i can practise breaking staggers.. Not like the staggers that are easy to bring like say a shoulder ram.. but of lei's stagger power... Is there ways in dojo i can keep practising breaking stag

the obvious way is to put the cpu on block 3 (with the mid after the block). Then u hit them and break the stagger It's decent practice waiting for the red joystick icon to break. The trick is, u need to really mix up what move ur doing. You'll find that ur breaking staggers easy after, say, k, but then it's hard to get the timing after 3p, or after 2p, or whatever.

Oh and what worked for me is this. Actually even better. Set the CPU on the mixup between mid and throw. Hit the cpu and duck. Now here is where it gets a little more effective for training. Your goal is to read what happens. If they throw, you punish the whiffed throw, pk, 6k, whatever you want to punish the throw with. But remember, u aren't doing a fuzzy, u are just ducking. So if the mid hits you, you have to stagger break as quickly as possible. Another wrinkle u can add is to do a move to punish that is fast enough by like only one or 2 frames to be gauranteed on the whiffed throw. That way if you don't punish fast enough, then u get another mid throw mixup after ur punish is blocked. So basically this is the closest way i've found to simulating game time. Altho i did it with practicing fuzzies not intentionally ducking into it. Hope this makes sense. It was also good practice punishing ducked throws in fuzzy situations.

Also, try using different cpu opponents to stagger urself. The timing of the moves is ever so slightly different. But the best advice i can give is...

Would be to use lei more. Using someones staggers is the most intuitive way to learn their staggers. Via the repetition. One of the reasons u can break shoulder stagger easy is cause u know it inside out from using goh. I find most of lei's staggers easy to break. I finally got to where i can break eileen's low kick stagger after eating it a million times. But yeah, lei staggers are usually somewhat automatic for me to break. Not always though. Hope this helps.

Good Games to VFNumbers for the fun Lei Fei matches. Why is it everytime I fight Lei Fei it's in that Broken House Stage?! I've heard that BGM waaaaaay too much now. I hardly ever play on Lei Fei's Stage. That aside fun matches ya know?

GG's to Denkai and Exequiel711 who is a DM spamming Kage scrub who kept joining my games. He won like the first 2 games because I wasn't really trying, but then he thought he was hot shit so I had to spank him for 10 straight and left. Looked at his friends list and saw Bdoubleblade at the top of his list and a few other DM & beat knuckle spamming kind pins. Yup guess that old saying is true... birds of the same feather do flock together.
