Good Games Thread

You've noticed that I haven't been on lately huh? =) Not sure why, but I'll try and play some tonight. I'd rather play a long session with you though and not just a few matches. Congrats by the way!! Who have you been beating up lately? I never see ranks anymore.

I'll be heading out for the Midwest Street Fighter tournament in Illinois this weekend. I wish other VFers could go! I will be bringing my XBox just in case.

P.S. Thanks for the props above, but I NEVER know how our sessions will end. They always seem so impossible to tell. We definitely give each other a share of beatdowns, and I can never tell when the tide will turn.

 

ggs man. Thanks for the compliment, yeah I react to hitcheckable moves pretty fast, I guess I kind of have to though. Man, the ENTIRE fight I did not escape a single throw you used, you mixed all the inputs up too well I think.

About the evading thing, yeah at first I was just doing delayed dragon on you nonstop, but I wasn't checking it I was just going straight into 333K - when I felt sure of your evade, then you started doing delayed sabaki(I was like niiiiice), so I switched to delayed serpent to actually attempt to watch for your failed evades before doing it. that was hard as shit though and I kept messing up window is small or something.

After the matches went on, my brain shutdown and I just used either the sweeps or that belly to belly suplex. Then I stopped and tried a bunch of different other moves to see results. For some odd reason you just kept evading to the background after some moves. When you started evading alot though I knew you were worried about what I would actually do, that's the same thing Cozby tends to do.

I tried to stay in your face alot, because I saw that the pressure was working. You became like a caged animal at one point in the sessions I was like oh shit I better watch out lol. You're really good at avoiding CHs and avoiding getting put into crouch staggers.

 

Added you a couple days ago lol, with summer just about here I will be able to play most of the days of the week, but I'm going to vancouver in July for a month I believe then I will be back once again. I can play anytime I'm on which is a lot.

 

Haha, that move is nasty! I'm not sure how to deal with it myself, so be nice to see how you do. We haven't played in a long time but still love that Sarah of yours and still can't get my head round those flamingo mix ups

Ok, my Jeff came out of his 5 day retirement. I was gonna stick to Lau for a while, but I just can't quit you, McWild. So I guess I 'll just try and avoid things that make Jeff mad like SHun and Constant Slide Shufflers and Beat Knuckle Fetishists.

Good games to Truesonic! I know what you mean about it being frustrating to lose vs. your main guy. But Jeff is really like my sub main; I have been playing him since VF3. In fact, I still dream of his old face scraper wall throw. That and his former side low throw which was freakin hilarious.

And Good games to Weiand vs. Jeff.

Also I played like three hours vs. daFeucha. So I have, uh, seen the future and there in the future there are a lot of Akira shoulder rams and they can not only eat low pubches, but elbows and baby knees. WTF. Good games though! Weird pacing. We each killed the other on oki.

 

ggs UKdiddy. Man, u have some beastly offense. I felt like there was nothing i could do after a lot of ur moves In fairness, i don't defend against akira worth a damn. Really though, u have some dominant flow charts. In fact, it felt like i was playing akira fei Ur akira reminded me a lot of how i play lei fei with strong flow charts/mixups and good guessing/anticipation. And similarly, i thought it was funny how many excellents and 3-4 game win streaks we had vs one another. It was back in forth, but rarely close, lol. Nice games. Look forward to playing against u more, hopefully.

 

Good games everyone, just too many peeps to name. Had some great matches the last few days. I have a brand new xbox and it seems more responsive.

last night I played against kingo and I have to admit he`s playing in a different universe than me. he`s always pushing forward but making almost no mistake. I have to use every chance I get to beat him which happend maybe 5 times or so (20 wins for kingo and therefor I had to blow my brain. although playing him is a pain in the ass it`s a great option to improve my skills.

Oh Rodney, how can I count the infuriating matches...??? =D

Man, we went back and forth last night like there was no tomorrow. Did either of us get a streak better than 2? I swear we play differently together than I play against anyone else. It seems like we just pick the game apart to death, and are always worried/reluctant about what each other will do. It's fun nonetheless!

I hope you didn't mind me not playing later in the evening. I figured we certainly played a generous amount of matches, and there were a ton of other good players on that I hadn't played in awhile.

Pretty sure you had the longest streak... Any where between 3-5 games in a row early into the session. Once I adjust toward the end, I think I got 3 in a row maybe 4 at the most but doubt it.

Yeah there were other great players on and normally I would have stayed and played, but my mind was only in tuned to Shun because he requires so much focus or else he runs circles around you. I tried to play Tee, but during the whole match it felt like my brain was lagging. I'd be like ' ATTACK ' then 3 seconds later I'd finally hit the button... clear sign that it was time to go to bed, so I did!

Fun stuff though... I look forward to more and oh it's almost time for me to watch those D&D DVD's you sent me. HELL YEAH I CAN'T WAIT... GONNA BE AWESOME!

I don't know if it's just a shun thing. I think it's a Jhow thing. The way he plays throws me off and I don't play the way I usually play. I stall a lot vs him. Like at one point I said i don't think this is VF I'm playing lol. So when you played me Konjoh I could see you were suffering the same effects.
