Also, gg to Konjou, who I just can't beat at all, and Happy Friend, whose Lau is impossible for me to defend against, and all the other players who are light years ahead of me.

Looking forward to playing some more matches, and I hope to be more competitive in the future...

i think i've played jhow77 but i remember playing this crazy jacky player who is GT is something like that...back and forth but i loved it! haha GGs and Brisal wolf is sick! and also chief wolf! Haha, I wasn't challenging Chef. Although I do love and applaud the fact people are having first to 10's on-line. When you need to settle anything in life it's all about the "FIRST TO 10". I wish they had a death match mode where it locks your characters, picks random stages and automatically saves the whole battle!

oh nah that's cool, gg man (well good games from you, i sucked). i figured you would exit around that time, i was playing so horrible. lol i was actually ashamed, i dunno if you could hear my nervous laugh everytime i did something incredibly stupid or fumbled my inputs.

 

Ok guys, some of you will hate this post, but I feel it has to be done. Please don't take it the wrong way!

I have been getting tons and tons of friend invites lately and I have no room to add people. So what happens, well I leave peoples invites just kind of hanging their until I have room to add them. To them it looks like I am probably being a prick and don't want to add them, but due to the lack of space I simply can't accept their request.

So my solution to this? Well like I said in the beginning, some of you will probably hate this post.

SOLUTION:

This Saturday & Sunday I will be hosting player matches all day for everyone on my friends list. I will play approximately 15-20 matches per person. If you want to stay on my friends then you will have to bring your A game. If I win 10 straight... your done. REMOVED! Please don't have any hard feelings, it's not a personal attack. If you can win 5 of the 15-20... YOU STAY ON THE LIST!

Now I know everyone is probably saying "aaahhh Konjou that's fucked up!" But you know what it's not. I want to give everyone the chance to play with me, but bottom line is I am a competitive player and I need competitors on my level to play with if I want to get better. And believe me, I WANT TO GET BETTER. Being removed from my list doesn't mean you can not be added on at a later time once your skill improves. I am sure like myself, some of you have players on your list who you have only played maybe once or twice and they are just taking up space which you can use for someone else. Also NOTE... that it is still possible to send players messages whether or not they are on your list. So if anyone wants to play with me, they can still send me a message and we can meet up for player matches. I feel that by doing this I can free up lots of space on my list, thus giving more people a fair chance to have the opportunity to play with me.

If anyone disagrees with me on this, please PM me with a better solution. Let's not pollute this thread with gripes. I just put this here, because I didn't want to start a new thread about something so silly as this. Thanks for reading and I promise to host more player matches from here on. Ranking is really becoming a turn off lately, because everyone who has advanced past MASTER rank is hiding and won't host or join the games of the people hosting who has the potential chance to demote them. There are a few exceptions like JHow77, MR. EXPERTOPTIUK(I hope I spelled it right, if not forgive me), and Geewaiho. But everyone else who is past Master who's name I don't have to give, because they know who they are, simply just hides and search out the people who they can beat. <span style='font-size: 20pt'>LAME!</span> I understand that moving past Master is really frustrating and no one wants to go through it again, but you know what... it's a part of the game and if you deserve the rank then you definitely should believe in the skills you have to defend it. I have been on Master rank like 6 times already on my XxRodnutzxX. Is it frustrating to go back and forth that many times? HELL YEA! But I am playing Pai and obviously my Pai is just lacking the skill to advance. I even tried to get slick once and use Akira for the last match I needed just so I could advance and even that back fired and I still lost. Luckily I was able to get a rematch and I got the rank back. As annoying as it is, it's a lot of fun too.

 

nah that makes perfect sense if you are a competitive player. but it would be cool if you could show some new players the ropes every now and then but they don't have to be on your lost for that.

I offer advice all the time and I hope by now everyone knows that if they need advice or help I am more than happy to aid them. And YES my list is FULL. I think XBL only lets you have like 100 peeps on your list. I could be wrong though.

 

i, too, at one time have filled up my friends list, but i recently deleted a bunch of them simply because i really don't play them that much. i am also a competitor and so i know exactly what rodney is talkin bout.

rodney, you don't understand how frustrating master rank is. i musta lost it and got it back (from someone else ofcourse) mayb about 30 times now. i just can't get over the hump! closest i've ever gotten to warrior was 3 wins straight and that was against YOUR eileen! everybody else RUNS when they know wolf will eat them for dinner. buncha pussies! like this one scrubby ass eileen player took master away from me and signed off. and to top it off IT WAS FUCKIN LAGGY!!!! i sent him a message saying, "FAG!" and he replied with "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" dude, i seriously just felt like stomping on my stick!

Hey Konjou_Akira,

Doing what you mentioned above shouldn't be necessary since people on Xbox Live can now look through friends list of their friends now and reach them. All that's needed is for one common friend to be on your list along with any others who frequent this site.

Ok, Now im not going to tell you what your doing is wrong, But i actually have a few things i would like to point out. You constantly say to people that the best time to catch you to play is during the weekend ofr player matches. So for the last 4 weeks ive been doing just that. Ive invited you and left you alone during the week just as YOU requested. Every time ive invited you ive been avoided/dodged/thrown to the side/etc. Its cool that you dont want to play "lower level" players and all. But I also am trying to step my game up. You were also the same person who said to me"if you have any questions regarding the game dont hesitate to ask" Well ive been TRYING to ask you by once again sending invites and the like and once again. completely ignored. Do what you want with your friends list, Im not gonna take it personal either way. I just feel completely mislead by you.

 

fair enough! Honestly I don't consider you a low level player at all. With all due respect Chibi, you are actually a much better player than you perceive yourself to be. I think you are just lacking confidence and overall... experience. I understand you want to play with me, and I'll admit I should try harder to make some time for you since you have been patient. But I wish you could see my inbox on a daily basis and how flooded it can get with requests. As for playing the best on LIVE, I am far from it, playing me will only make you better at fighting MY Akira and nothing more. This is why I say the only thing holding you back is confidence and experience. You should try to familiarize yourself with other characters and other Akira styles of play. I am not avoiding you or anyone, but at the same time you guys have to understand and respect that I don't sign onto LIVE to satisfy you guys first. I have to satisfy my cravings first and you guys come second. Ranking is highly addicting to me, so I play it as much as I can. I think ranking makes you play better overall as a player because there is something on the line. Just ask BBoyDubC. In player match I am not fighting my all. I am playing hard, but it's definitely not my all. Once I guage a persons strength, I try to play in a way that makes it fun for them so they do not get discouraged and then I offer my advice on what I think they should do to get stronger. Just like I have done for you and anyone else who I have played with. So again... it's not a matter of disrespect or dodging, it's just that I have to satisfy my cravings first. But now that ranking is becoming a drag and turn off. I will be available to play more. Call it petty, but it's the truth and you can't be mad at someone for speaking the truth.

 

Im with Konjou on this one... I yoyo back between Master and 9th Dan. Like 4 times already. Most recently i was demoted back to 9th by JHow77 but i got revenge afterwords. Although the revenge was worthless cause i was a 9th Dan and he was a Master. =(

Yeah it sucks, but oh well. Fuck it. Ill get past Master eventually. Till then, fuck it, ill have to work for it. Im actually doing more player matches since alot of peeps who are 7th - 10th Dan DC when i join their hosted game. I actually do alot better in player matches since you have no pressure of losing rank or what not. But then again, i dont care about rank too much. I have vids of me playing a Korean Jacky like 6 - 7 times even though i was getting beat down and on the verge of getting demoted. We were both 10th Dans...

The point is, i wanna get better and if it means losing rank by getting beat the fuck down, so be it. Its the only way ill learn.
