Oh, I thought you were just talking about the movie. I hardly even remember watching the G1 series as a kid, but I don't really care about it. All 'serious' cartoons sucked balls back then anyway. Hell, 99% of them still do now.

And Jerky, you could look at it that way, but what other exclusively animated show killed off the main character? That is really ballsy imo. The movie just screams badass dude.

    And the music! omfgwtflfa~!

    AND FUCKING UNICRON!!!

C'mon dude. You have to kill all the old guys to introduce the new guys. It's all about moving product and you can't expect the kids to keep buying Soundwave and Optimus Prime forever.

Christ, the whole cartoon was a big commercial for the toys! There is no artistic integrity. I'm not trying to take a dump on anyone's cherished memories here, just pointing out the obvious.

Since they were including cartoon movies in that list, how in the hell did Akira come in at number 16 and Fist of the North Star didn't even make the list at all? /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

because fist of the north star was not even a blip in american culture compared to how big akira was. That goes for a lot of anime's, but a couple got the recognition they deserved. They might not be the best anime but they were the most well known

    Re: Transformers

    A couple of things.

    1. I don't think anime or adult centered cartoons should be considered along with cartoons intended for children. There is just to much more that you can do with something intended for adults vs. what you can do with a child's cartoon.

    2. Transformers rocked. The movie really rocked. The death of Optimus Prime has to be the saddest moment in cartoons.

    3. Bugs Bunny is 10, WTF. They' ve lost their minds.
    4. They want me to believe "The Incredibles" is better than "Pinnochio" and "Bambi." No, they think I've lost my mind.
    5. Correction: the death of Bambi's mom may be the saddest moment in cartoons. - It's very close.

This list is grade "A" BULLSHIT.

P.S. Tell me the first name that comes to your head when you read this word.

i cant remember this one but for sum reason it reminds me of visionaries. man what a cartoon. they touched their logo and then turned into animals that fought! and you had the evil crew who were jsut as good as the good guys. not like fucking pokemon. just ONE episode id like to see team rocket kick the shit out of ash. man what a fag.

oh and to anybody whos every had a naughty kid, show em pinocchio. man that part where the kids start turning into donkeys FOREVER fucking freaked me out man. and that evil whale. and dumbo too with that trippy elephant dreams part. if you think bout it, old disney films beat the shit outta any digi film today like the incredibles and shrek. besides, i hated shrek for some reason.
