Yeah, Akira's old knee is gay & so was his old elbow move. Everything New are correct baji techniques. I'm expecting Sega to pull some major teeaks out of their ass for VF5. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

hey maddy, i faced Dera Akira last september, i noticed he even uses the force evade- throw guarantee method at +1.

honestly i was so amazed how aggresive he plays, i never got a single win out of 4 games, lol. definatley no slouch!

he's one of my targets next time cool:

In clip 3 the match between Gato (VA) and the lion player, it is not chibita. It is Rarita, if you look at the names up top in the lion versus lion match, you can see that Rarita is imitating Chibita in regard to their ring names. Just want to clarify this since I saw some confusions in vfhome.

I noticed that, but forgot to edit the post. Thanks.

BTW, isn't version B supposed to be out soon?

May be of interest to people. Four tekken movies, but some of the players are VF players.

    Teams are
    No Respect
Hato (Bryan) Yuu (Feng) and Sho (Jin)

    vs

    Nukazu4pan
Ohsu akira (Christie) Kenbou (Jack5) and Neotower (Feng).

Lol, Oshu is even crazy in T5, haha. Good stuff. Can't wait to own T5 on my PS2. I won't play it serious tho, just for fun like with all the tekken games I got.

They play T5 like they do VF...check out the number of throw attempts! Fools, don't they know throws suck in Tekken??

That's exactly what the Korean VF players play T5, said by themselves. =P

"We see ourselves doing Low P, throw or low P,elbow in T5 even though we know it never work as effectively in this game. We can't help doing it though." =P

HAHAHAH, that is so true. Everytime I play T5 I want to throw cause everyone just sits and waits.

Yea, and then you get countered for %150 damage or something =P

Yea, I see a lot of VF players hopping on Tekken a little because they're bored of VF... hoping that VF5 comes out soon =)

After playing it more, Tekken 5 isn't a horrible game, but it's really just Tekken ... however, the art style, graphics, and music and sound are top notch, IMO. I want to go buy the soundtrack, I really liked T4's... the music is miles over VF IMO.

Then again, you have to be an techno-head like me to like that music... =)

Yeah I know, playing VF will do that to you. With the new long range throw system, backdashing out of throw range is a little trickier now so I guess they're trying to take advantage of it.

Is it really longer range? To be honest I'm having trouble throwing opponents...e.g. I'll block a move, gain advantage, dash forward to throw. Opponent dashes backward and my throw attempt whiffs. I eat a big combo.

You have to hold forward when you throw for the longer range version.

Haha... See You're thinking too VF : guard a move then throw. Try mixing throws in wake up, after you hit them with a move that causes guard stun or after a whiff if you're too far to launch them, you gotta catch them by surprise. When I block a move that gives me advantage, I usually go for 1,1,2 with Kaz or a launcher if possible. Throws have a different role, probably a more secondary role in tekken compared to VF but there's no option select so it's still a good mixup.

Thanks Srider. Onistompa, good tips, and I'm beginning to see how playing a character with a good low attack makes things easier. Otherwise it's just too easy to back dash, block, retaliate all day.
