1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. Am I the only one that thinks that keeping statistics for an offline game and showing them online is pretty stupid? I mean really...

Wow look at him he's beaten a 2nd player that isn't there 10000 times he rocks!

It depends on how the algorithm is implemented as to whether the data is meaningful or not.

Definitely wouldn't link it to achievments, so kind of take away one of the points of cheating for a start.

I got a feeling other then training mode,AI and better AA,it will be barebones still.

Unfortunately the only stick that Hori plans to release for the 360 is the FS3. At the momment there are no plans to bring the RAP3 and RAP3 Sanwa edition over to the 360. As for SEGA, hopefully Microsoft is truly serious about aquiring the series by pushing SEGA to bring the VSHG to regions outside Japan or possibly help them distribute the sticks.

How serious is Sega really taking the 360 version, though? It's not being released AT ALL in Japan, mind you. Unless Sega does indeed make VSHG compatible, then I only see this version mainly drawing some casual players (without "that Blu-Ray player") who would benefit from the enhanced dojo. ESPECIALLY if the PS3 gets a "Version C" patch, the hardcore crowd will stick with the PS3 version and VSHGs.

    Just my 2 cents.

Wouldn't better AI and dojo be basically Evo?

Well the console version of VF4:Evo compared to VF4 was pretty dramatic for a mere 'expansion pack' of a game. Hopefully VF5:Evo makes a dramatic step forward just like 4:Evo did.

Pure speculation, but if they aren't releasing the 360 version in Japan it could suggest that they are including some functionality that impacts on the Japanese arcade market.

Could be some kind of agreement with Sony though I guess.

mnn wow. my take on this i think there will be a few new things but like everyone, it would make a step forward, no matter how small or big we see it once it comes out then we'll know for sure.

If it's being released in the East, then that has got to be at least almost 70% confirmation that a quality stick will come out. 360 is dirt cheap in Japan (like 250 or less), and so some players might want to pick up VF5 cheap, then get a stick along with it. With terrible sales on the PS3, SEGA/Hori are risking nothing for releasing a high quality stick on the 360. Can't wait until June and the embargo lifting!

By the way Fishie, you "confirmed" it, but where did you get your info from? The SEGA press release only said it was coming to USA and Europe. They mentioned nothing about Japan/the east (nothing either way for that matter in that press release).

As far as 360 version looking more anti aliased, even the ps3 version looks anti aliased at all times when you play it on a Composite TV. Did they confirm whether those 360 screens are on a 1080p tv? Can The 360 version display in 1080p like my Japanese version of VF5 can? If not, it sucks graphically compared to the ps3 version.

Anyway the graphics arent as important as the new features in 360 version.
If the 360 version can save replays in ALL modes, has transportable player data, and you can train and upload your AI and custom character to XBL so others can download it and fight it, THEN its worth the purchase. Also you would have to be able to upload your replays and view dl them on VFtv. Also upgrade and Vary the Ai on quest mode(AS IT IS ALL WOLF AIs in quest mode use the same AI regardless of ring name, and the same for all Chars.)

As it is Im going to hold off buying a VS HG untill I find out all the features on The XB360 version, because if the features are better I will be spending all my VF5 time on 360, and Ill need a 360 VSHG .

Who gives a fuck about dojo mode. Really if they were adding such ROBUST new features to the 360 version like uploads and downloads, they would be lauding it now to booost pre-orders.

<- gives a fuck about dojo mode. Newer players to the VF world need it. I come from a soul calibur/2d background -- played VF3 on DC, but that was a longgg time ago...I'm going to utilize the proverbial hell out of the dojo!
