    Like Chefboy mentioned, there were certain moves that had crumble properties on side, off-axis hits....

    The beefed up Akira bodycheck picture...might be his normal bodycheck just from the side (maybe new side bonuses?).

    Anyways, I can't believe that this is the final loketest and the game's arcade release is in July! This means that if there is a console version(Please be PS3 also, w/ online capability!), it will arrive just that much quicker!(Looks to Tekken 6 Arcade Version...Or, maybe not...?)

    The animated images are embedded in flash which is why you can't save the image easily. I've extracted the images from the flash and convered to animated gif below.

    Tetsuzanko (trans: iron mountian) is the Body Check and is a part of a number of Akira's moves.

    It's impossible to tell from a single frame if it's:

    Judging from the damage shown, it's probably likely that it's the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif which has the highest potential damage from a single hit of all three.

    Currently bodycheck from the side would cause a different animation, so I think the shown pic is simply a bodycheck counterhit from the front. I dunno, it looks as if in several ways Akira is going back to old stuff.. Like SDE stunning on counter, bodycheck beefed again.. its been nerfed several times in previous versions you know kristina.. VF5 bodycheck is propably the weakest ever, even though sidecounter can cause 90+ damage combo. Im always uneasy about too big damage caused by a single attack. Even though Akira is minus - a million if its blocked, its still like the fastest mid in the game now (tied with double palm).

    Also, the followup to Lions P+K looks canned to me in that animated pic. And the wall - can you even call that a wall?! - is lower than ever..

    With the bodycheck taking up that much power you can tell a strong nitaku game will take place when Akria does his 6P+G8 throw.

    So what are the odds of VF5R getting a stateside PS3 release? I've heard that since they did a small update and made VF4 Evolution the odd of VF5R home version are pretty good. Is this just wishful thinking?

    Nobody knows and it would just be speculation talking about. Questions along the lines of "So when will I play it on my PS3??? / Will I play this online??? / Will it include a better trainingmode??? / Will I get VF4: FT with this??? Will I be able to download and patch from marketplace / PSN???" etc at this point will only tilt certain individuals.

    I wonder if the height reduction is because the command is easier now (/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif I believe), or that Jean is just a heavy character?

    As we know that VF5 bounces have been removed (right?) and replaced with a slam effect instead, which is still combo'able. So, it's nice to see /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif have this effect on air hit considering Brad never had a bounce in VF5!

    Also, at 1:09, it's good to see that the Last Shot still produces a slam. A previous location test report said that the slam was removed.

    P+K in combos could bring up Brad's dmg A LOT (he already had it pretty nice). I wouldn't be surprised if you can do 66p+k,p there instead of 46k+g etc. Also, 3k missing = sideturned position big adv against Brad makes me nervous about using that move. What has happened with 6p+k? I wonder. The new lowkick doesn't make me happy as it looks like diss even on CH or not much.
