I'll try and make it for 1:30pm-ish. Plus gotta get a tiny practise in to get used to the sticks. I won't practise tonight on my console cos then it'll put me off my game tomoz thinking I'm fighting the CPU cos I can't see my opponent, lol. Also if I play at home tonight for too long I won't be in the mood to play it tomoz. I did that for the last Trny and I did pretty well.
I got some good set ups and series for Goh. Hopefully it'll work cos they don't work on CPU.

Anyway, nuff talk, c'yaz tomoz.

I hate tight sticks that's one legit excuse /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif.
If it's like Optimus's DC stick I'll probabley get stuck in the middle of the screen /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif.

They are a bit tight Shoju, you need to get the hand muscles working /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif Tight but very responsive, crouch dashing is so easy!
I'll try to be there before 2p.m if I can depending on traffic.

I had a good solid 8 hours of vf play today, huge turn out as well thanks to out everybody who came even if the team tourney did take a while to get going still worth turning up 4 hours early for.

personal highlight:

Seeing bk (team norbs) take on sham and reverrie.

personal lowlight:

Me almost falling asleep while playing ollie's aoi, sorry ollie not trying to make an excuse here cause u did beat the shit out of me but i swear i could of nodded off at any time.

funniest moment:

seeing ryan doing a bad impresion of kage's corkscrew dive.

anyway hopefully i might be down there next friday to get some practice, c u later.

Very nice turnout today. ALot of the big guns came along and some suprise appearences too. Reverie and The Wall came along which I wanted to see how they've improved and they improved enuff!!!

I'd hate to say that it was my poorest performence ever and it was true. Also Version A of the game also made my Goh look bad cos some moves series and combos didn't work. I knew I was screwed when the gut punch failed after the MC knee.

On the whole, alot of ppl played well and congrats to Ryan team for winning and Simon for winning it for them. I knew I wasn't gonna make the cut cos my partner comes up to me and says "I play as Pai and I've only played for a lil while"

Vosor, u gotta stop singing man, lol. Pat and Vosor were cracking me up today and Daisuke too at one point.

if I never saw Vosor and The walls faces before playign, I would of thought it was Vosor playing both characters. Watching them both is like a mirror. They're twins I swear!!!

Yeah we just got back , got nuff capturing to do from bareknuckle card. Ahem cough, why didn't know one mention my win over Ryan /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif Anyways congrats to Bareknuckle and Ryan for winning, don't think everyone was at there best though, but yeah challenges next week would be good!

many can argue that teaming with ryan (not that it was my choice) was a blatant easy ride, but atleast i can say one thing for sure.

highlight: 3-0ing Delune / Revierie to win the title^^

good day today, i think there will be many people posting about how crap they think they played (me for one) but i can say for sure i had some laughs. Hehe, i even brought out my secondary character brad from the dusty cupboard which i don't normally do.

Also great to see Delune & Mark come to play, one of my highlights is witnessing such a high level shun as Delune's, i rarelyy get to face shuns at all, and i got supremly owned by it!! Mark for lashing out his jacky (very nice indeed).

good stuff guys, put up the replays soon ollie!! and i also want a VHS from ryan and hope to get this event too (even tho i played miles better in the last one)

Oh man yeah straight after the tourni, it was a hectic match!. We just finished some of the cpaturing I'll put some up tommorow Bareknuckle /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif We didn't do them all we'll do the rest next week, there's too many!

Couldn't make it yesterday but it souned like it was real good so hopefully there will be more of these.
How were the sticks and how were the credits paid for?

Thanks for everyone for coming down yesterday.

I went down to Trocadero today and one of the machines giving away free credits (there were 12 in when I arrived). There was only a pair of Jap guys to play against, so I got bored after I had beaten them and left five credits in the machine. I bought Evo today (had some trouble finding a cheap copy) and some dodgy eight squid "FIFA 2002 World Cup" arcade stick from HMV. The buttons are in an odd configuration, small and convex. I'll hopefully be able to test it out later.

Oi Optimus, I was just warming up, /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif after that when I got on I stayed on for 20+ wins in a row with Akira. he,he yoho, jab, shoulder, double kick took bare tings off the bar!!!!! /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif I just found it hard to immediately adjust to Akira after using Kage all day. I'm not taking anything away from you though cos I personally thought you played really well, I even said to Dai that you played well directly after the match too.

To Optimus and Stalwart: I'm going to Paris this weekend (where I will grace them with my Yoho'ing Akira ) so I won't be around to give you the tapes but I can make them for Tomorrow (For Tuesday) or Thursday if you want. I can meet you at troc or anywhere if you want. If you can't do that then there I'm back on Monday. Just PM me or something.

Anyone else who wants tapes we could arrange a day that's good for everyone to meet and then all meet at Trocadero if you want. Post here, preferably Thursday.

I don't know what happened to Bare Knuckle in the 3rd game of the finals, I just felt like saying "You better give me some of what ever your doctor's prescribing you"! cos my man was on fire boy, thanks and well done Knuckle. It's either that or perhaps someone secretly whispering into his ear "DO SHOULDER NOW"!!! right at the last minute when BK was close to losing and having it score a major counter to win the game. Good ears Knuckle! That's what teammates are for. To be honest I didn't really see people cheering on their teammates and helping or supporting their teammates in any way but I think this is both really important and fun too. At the next tournament or at team tournaments in future, if you see your opposing team has a weakness when your team mate is playing, let him know, it helps! Ask BK!

Last Saturday presented us with our biggest vf4 evo tournament ever, it was great to see so many new faces too, I hope the next tourney will be even better. Thanks to all of you for coming down and joining in the fun. It couldn't have been done without you all there.

ahh...yeah it's been a great tourney even though i got mashed by you guys! BUT next time i'll be back with a better Akira or a newly trained character!!!

it was a fantastic scene to see a good crowd on the VF4evo machine, where as before i could only see this happening on a SC2 machine (big crowd most of the time). the trocardero's music was too loud and annoying, though i appreciate them for having a VF4evo machines, finally! apart from music annoyest, all in all, it's been a great day! thank you to all who turned up and Ryan for organizing this friendly gathering.

very good turnout saturday..i noticed me and others like optimus played better after the tournament for some reason, (i guess the fact that noone is relying on u to kick butt eases things!)

raging, well incase you hadnt noticed me and my partner in crime mark play vanessa very very differently indeed.....only thing im worried about is if we tag up on the 2 and 2 matches there`s going to be drama...
