Otherwize, would anyone nearby the Ontario Airport have a place for sunday night? It seems like a waste trying to sleep that night, but I dont think I have anywhere to stay!!

A quick recap.... I made it out of my pool and won 6 matches and than faced Jerky. We both played to a 1-1 tie going all five rounds. Him hitting me with lighting kicks, wall throws (f), and axe kick combos. Me hitting him with db+k,k, back throw, donkey/mule kicks, ect. At the end, I didn't tech roll at combo and he ran up and did the ground attack to win by a fraction. Heart breaking. The upset so far was Shou over Myke in the semi finals.

*Rodney and Adam had to play in the semi's after Kurita knocked him into the losing bracket. Actually Rodney was up by one match on Kurita before he put his Vanessa power on him.

**Pre tourney gathering was pretty unique. With shou arriving later than we expected, during arcade play, Shang was streaking people and then it was shou's turn. Shou steps in and the entire crowd starts hooting and hollering. Shang kicked his ass 3-1 and the whole place erupted.

*Ryan versus Cappo in the first semi finals was intense. Lots of movement.

*After Maddy got crushed in the arcade play by M. Shun (Dave) Maddy adjusted and Biakko'ed him to death with his Korean style movement.

The Shou versus boston money match is still being delayed due to strangness of people. hahahahha

Hey guys.. quick update before the finals start since we all know how stuff like that happens. Things get delayed.

First off.... every tourney was delayed 3 hours back due to Marvel versus Capcom. We went last this year instead of the year before where VF went first. Kinda odd. So our first pool/bracket matches didn't start till a good almost midnight. We played arcade mode at the byoc room from around 6pm till 11:30pm and we had a good steady rotation.

On to the semi finals with some more thoughts/highlights.

We had to get up really early in the morning to get there and start playing. many of the people who were eliminated didn't go because they were still sleeping. My first evo so it was kinda off. All the second seeded people from each bracket were already on the losers brackets. Meaning if they lost again, they would be eliminated. The winner's brackets had two chances.

*Adam hit Jerky with three straight splash mountains.

*Ryan did a ten foot toss combo that was pretty much pai specific on Cappo that drew lots of attention.

*I hit Jerky with a back throw and as he was rising straight up, I did the uf+p move to knock him down. That hit turned out to be a major counter.

*Jerky and Shang both admitted that they wanted Shou in the first round of the semi finals.

*Shou actually had Itashun down one match to none and up 2 rounds to nothing. Then Itashun completely annialated him in the next 6 rounds. It was utterly amazing how he flipped the switch.

*No memory cards were put in the machines to avoid all the saving. So we unfortunatly didn't get many matches saved. That sucks, but our tourney ran quite longer than expected. Due to many tie breakers in the prelim pools.

*They are using my Japanese evo files and renaming everyone and dressing them all up for the finals. (and no thanks to the quest king himself Dre for hooking me up with that file!)

*Jerky gave me a new title. He calls me the streak ender. I ended almost every high number streaks during arcade play.

*Shang is known as the Asian Bart Simpson according to Myke

*Myke versus Shou match up was pretty intense. It went all 3 matches and all 5 rounds each. Myke missed one crucial tft combo and everyone yelled combo miss. That's when Shou suddenly did the backdash dragon cannon and finished him off. Dude's hands were all clamly and cold and nervous.

*All the people who were not too fond of Hayai Jiji were cheering when he lost. (so cal folks! /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

*I have about 5 or 6 hours of interview questions I asked Kurita, Bearcrusher, Itashun, and Roah, and even Mester. Who plays third strike but hung out with us and played some vf. He played a pretty good Kage for not really playing.

*no one challenged Shou for the 50 dollar money matches.

*no fights yet. hahahahah
