lol. SpOD, TFT in real life?
dont u wonder if its possible before commenting.
    it's pretty obvious that it's 100% fiction.

btw what's e glory in picking a fight in with someone unskilled?
im sure kyokushin teaches more than just full contact combat.

^Ok Unicorn, you gotta tell me where that gif originates from. Is that a YouTube video by any chance? I'd love to see the full martial art demonstration.

I did an Akira move on my bud, one time we where messing around fighting in school long time ago (07). He did a spinning back kick (not fast, kinda slow messing around) and I stepped in and it was more like the second hit of Akira's P+KP+K, sent him flying don't even think about it, had been playing a lot of VF5 with Akira and just did it on reaction.

Pretty sure I saw a demonstration of that style about 10 years ago. Never did learn what it was called. All I remember is that it was a Vietnamese style, and it used a LOT of leg scissor takedowns.

Would love to know more about the system.

I am sorry, but I really do not know. I found it by accident and save the link, as I find this pretty awesome (as someone who was maining christie in his T4 competitive days [IMG] )

Having actually done Judo for awhile, I think I should avoid playing Goh, lest I try to set up my harai goshi with a knee to the gut.

Or try to soccer kick my opponent's face after Ippon.

I've been practicing karate for 16 years now(shotokan mixed with some goju-ryu and jujutsu techniques)so while playing Jean, it's difficult for me to focus on a game, when my body wants to perform all of his moves:) Also, I cannot resist, making some of Jacky's JKD moves.

Actually I study JKD and taichi so The moves that jacky performs I do on a daily basis(some of them anyway)

This thread is COMEDY GOLD [IMG]

I'm a muay thai guy now (done other stuff in the past) but I use Jacky. Bruce Lee biiiatch!!!! I imitate Bruce every now and then. Speaking of which, as I was beating up another Jacky player online, I made him suffer listening to my personal view that Jacky does not do JKD. In my mind, JKD would look more like MMA if anything. It's all about finding your own personal style that's effective for combat. Jacky obviously didn't get the memo and just copied someone else's style. But hey, Bruce's style was awesome! Damn, my opponent was probably thinking "STFU! I don't give a shit. I just wanna beat your ass!" Or somethin, I dunno.

Sometimes I do drunken kung fu...sometimes, when I'm actually drunk! lol. You find beauty in stumblin about. Damn, that was kinda lame huh? lol damn I watched Drunken Master 2 one too many times...

Um...I didn't Shun anybody else mind you, just shadowboxin like. Sorry, no crazy barfights to report, at least not yet [IMG]

Damn, I hope my buddy (Tekken player) has time to make my Bruce Lee Jacky today. I'm sure I could do a good job myself but I'm don't like customization much. He's good at that shit. His tekken 6 cast is a fine cast of racial stereotypes and hookers [IMG]

I remember at the first MoaT for vf2, BigCat and i got silly after a few beers and had a Lion vs. Jacky sparring match, where of course I played the part of Mr. Bryant and BigCat Lion.

We spent about 2 hours trying various moves and throws on each other until our buzz wore off. The best was when he did lion's quarter (half?) circle throw where he would jump up on my knees and did the faux neck break.

This thread must have been inspired by this:

    Video at 17:30.

BTW, if you like anime, and you're on this site, and you've never seen this anime series, you need to. It is hands down the BEST fighting anime that ever came out of Japan, after you overlook the crude art style and the 2 annoying supporting characters.

One of the reasons I like VF so much is it reminds me the most of when I used to competition fight.

Since I was 15 I've done Shotokan Karate, Wadaryu Karate, Muay Thai and Shaolin Wushu. Dabbled a bit with Gojuryu Karate, Wing Chun, JKD and Taekwondo. Done some weapon work too, hence me liking Last Bronx and Soul Edge/Calibur before the series added in Jedi and comic characters.

Lei Feis style looks incredibly familiar to me, but honestly? I know a lot of what he does in the game, train in it but would never do most of it in a real life fight.

Jacky doing JKD is kinda like a joke IMO, Jackys 'JKD' looks like Bruce Lee in his movies, but real JKD is pretty much nothing like movie Bruce, especially when you dial it all the way back to its Wing Chun roots.
