It would be awesome if it was more than 1 day. For me 3 days sounds great. I'd be able to go around Amsterdam a bit, maybe go to one of those famous crazy Amsterdam parties /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif I don't smoke weed so I'm not interested in that, but I bet there's lots of other things to do and places to see /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif VF still being the main one of course /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

If I am short on cash by that time I might get there by bike or hitch-hiking. Walking would just take too long. I know it sounds crazy, but it's not like it would be the first time I did a pretty insane thing /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I have room for a few mattresses, if you want to add a few days extra to cruise around the city that'll be fine too.

We need a date to make it official. I say somewhere at the end of August/begin September!

Griever: More than 1 day is a must /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif there's not enough time for everybody to play as many games as they want in one day, haha.

NGKrush: Right now, it looks like that's the best time to hold this thing, yeah. However, WCG NL has always held their national finals somewhere in that period for the last couple of years, so I really want to wait until they have announced what they're gonna do before deciding on a date for this thing.

We will come up with a date after the Dutch WCG organisation has announced if/when the VF5 qualifiers for the Netherlands will be held, I'm hoping they'll announce this soon.

Me too. If the dates are correct that means I'm coming to brussels on 26th of August, late evening. If there's a bus to Amsterdam the same evening then I'm taking it... if not, I'll spend a night in some cheap place in Brussels, then go to Amsterdam in the morning or afternoon the day after.
I'd like to stay somewhere where I could have some privacy (I'm coming with my GF, she doesn't play VF, though she likes watching it... I would still like to sleep with her in the room... and only her).

Anyway, I'm buying the tickets tomorrow. The return ticket is for Monday 31st of August somewhere around 18:30 as we have to go back to Brussels for the plane. All in all it will be a cheap flight (around 20 euro with the return! Great bargain, thanks Krye! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif )

I hope the bus/train to/from Brussels isn't expensive. So far it's cheap, so let's not change that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
And further info on places to stay in (remember, room for 2, one bed /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif ) and approximate prices for a bus/train to and from Brussels would be great, but we still have time for that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

That's correct, we'll hold it Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th of August. People that arrive earlier can also come over and play on friday the 28th.

I'm gonna make a new thread for this on Tuesday, so I can put all of the info in a big opening post. If you want to book your flight before that, it's fine, we're not gonna change the dates.

Well at least that doesnt collide with the WCG qualifier here that is somewhere between 6.-9. august, but I don't know yet if Im able to come. Lets say that I have a tendency to leave things late.. Im having some health problems atm too.
