I might try and find my way there.

Unfortunatly, I have to admit that I have lost much of my skill (what little skill I had) due to innactivity. I will be ZERO competition for any one of you. It will still be fun.

What is it doing at San Francisco? Are they testing it in the arcades there? or just sitting there at SOA?

It's probably being used for internal marketing/planning purposes, as well as to show to media who are giving the game coverage. Since a console announcement is imminent (This week, most likely), and the home version is still a ways off, they need to provide some sort of hands-on to media outlets who want to cover it. It's more convenient to bring a machine to SF (since the vast majority of gaming publications are based there) then fly everyone out to Japan.

Plague said:In response to growcian - I have the makings of a repair kit here - but certainly not everything. I do have an iron and solder. Maybe some wire. Got wire-strippers, too.

That being the case, if space in my backpack allows me to, I'll see about bringing a few things in terms of repair equipment. Hopefully, no one will need me or anyone else to fix a loose wire but better safe than sorry. Of course, I can't bring an entire workshop with tons of spare parts if someone's stick or button switch dies but I'll provide an "insurance policy" for anyone who needs a quick hardware fix.

I will come in US during saturday 6th, and Sunday 7th I have freetime...

Will it be possible to play anyone of you? My hope of possibilitie to play Evo at my hotel room was broken, because my co-worker don't agree with it. Will it be possible to meet any of VF players in LA at any other place to play - or to chat at least?

And my 2nd question. In SoCal, you have FT meeteings every Thursday, right? Will it be next Thursday (11th) too? And if yes, from what time and where (and how can I go there /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif )?

So Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, I will be unable to make the E3 party. As much as I wanted to go, it looks like I will have to sit this one out. Thank you so much for the offer, though, and I hope you all have a great time

Argh. Bummer deal, my friend. Fortunately these type of parties happen from time to time. I look forward to seeing you at the next one.

Just in case - remember that this VF party runs all night. So what if you can't make it until, say, 3am. Show up anyway! /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Hey Plague. Sorry for mentioning it last minute, but I'm going to be able to make it out there tonight....at last!!!

I may be a little late; you know L.A. traffic. Also, I will have to leave early (if you call 3:00 am early), but I'm looking forward to some good times. See you later.

    Great party! Thank you!! :)

(I was the guy who showed up with Fishie and Zerochan and used the Dizzy stick.)

As of this writing, I know the party's still going on. Sadly, circumstances didn't allow all of us to stay longer but we all had a great time. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Special thanks to Plague for hosting the party. Getting pwn3d hard has never been so much fun! XD

Awesome party. Was glad to be able to make it this time. I will definately try and make more. The better part of the night was meeting new people, and some great conversation along with some good play.

On a side note: I have "corrupted" my wife. Last night I had come home, only to find my wife watching Korean TV showing the WCG 2005 Starcraft Finals in Singapore. How awesome is that?

It was our pleasure, sadly you guys drank half my beer so I only had the large bottle of sapporo, 6 cans of domestic crap beer and the small bottle of tequila to keep me ocupied between fights.

HEY GUYS the gathering was great even though I wound up getting horribly sick the day afterwards (and still have an ear infection right now) /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I'm surprised at how many of you got into E3 this year to try out VF5! It was a good opportunity to share impressions of the game... And the look on PhoenixDth's face when he realized who the Japanese guy he was talking to on the show floor about VF5 was....priceless. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif (BTW, you enjoying those DVDs?)

I'm rather surprised at how well I held up against the crew, considering I haven't played too regularly and have considered myself "retired until VF5" since about September or so. I guess it's just the power of BURNING VANESSA LOVE. Or something.

Thanks to everyone who helped out Unicorn, too, even though he couldn't make the "official" gathering. Fishie and I were a bit worried about getting him down to Arcade Infinity, but Plague came through for us and you folks really showed him a good time. Can't wait for next year when we'll all be playing VF5!

Thanks again for opening your home to us Plague. It was further than I though, but you were right; well worth the trip. Hope we can do it again sometime.

And thanks for the tips & tricks everyone (especially on Sarah.../versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif ). I didn't get to play against everybody, but next time I'll make sure to.
