Dude, have you see those videos?
    Guys, look the fights now.
    - no Ukemi even once
    - no side step even once
    - the same primitive moves

Seiji Aoki plays VF5US as a noob, who even dont know the game mechanics. This videos of his gameplay is a proof that the game producer know nothing about the Virtua Fighter.
So, the reult we get. He is just a producer, and it seems its does not matter for him which game he will be producing, VF or Hello Kitty.

A sincere question, how many producers of fighting games do you know that are not "noobies" of the game that they are in charge of?

But back to the actual question posted in the first post. Aoki has actually played the game, multiple times. Whether he is a noobie, or a professional trolling, does not really matter! :)

Dude, it really looks like that Aoki launched the VF game for the first time = he has no sympathy and involvement in the game since it seems even not went through a short tutorial in the game. VF is not important to the him, money is important to him, because he is a producer, but he does this inefficiently. Yu Suzuki put his soul into the game when he developed it.
This is important b/c it determines the quality of game support and game’ direction of evolution.

First and foremost, SEGA is a commercial company, so money is and should be important to him as an employee of SEGA. Second, with what has been well-documented in interviews, VF5US/VFeS was a project created where the priority/goal was not making a profit. Something Aoki has said in the past that it felt strange for him as a producer of games to not consider profit when the project was given the approval to be made.

Following the articles and his posts on Twitter, I think VF is very important to Aoki. So we can agree to disagree on that.

Ultimately VF5US was released after so many years the brand was dormant. We would not be having any of these anger postings/threads by fans of the series if this version of the game was not released. So I do appreciate Sega/Aoki more so than I am dissatisfied of what I would like to see in the game.

Its important to be critical of a product and seek improvements. But always looking for something better and not enjoy with what you currently have in front of you seems to be a stressful way to live your life, imo. I am a fan of VF, so this is of course a very biased opinion :).

This. People seem to forget this about Yu Suzuki. I will admit for a dev and head of the VF project, that is super dedication to understanding martial arts, even if it's for a fighting game. He even broke his ribs and had serious bruises, when training with those Chinese masters. Not many devs have that dedication. He is definitely one of a kind.

Having reverence for someone doesn't mean you should start posting up a bunch of bullshit you made up inside your head, to get mad at.

Yu Suzuki's direction, goals, and passion for the Virtua Fighter series is well documented. His commitment to a certain stylistic realism and martial arts authenticity is also well documented,

On the other hand Seiji Aoki seems to have motivations other than his passion for martial arts and realism for his involvement in the Virtua Fighter series.:cautious:

Seiji Aoki also clearly believes that Tekken 7 should be the role model for Virtua Fighter. And his idea of "Getting Back Into the Fight" is to disguise Virtua Fighter as a watered down Tekken.

Based on the original interview with Seiji Aoki, he probably also thinks that the visuals of Street Fighter 6 would be good for the Virtua Fighter series. His statement

"Upgraded hit markers make battles more satisfying and dramatic," from the interview:

    https://blog.playstation.com/2021/05/31/virtua-fighter-5-ultimate-showdown-remaking-a-legend/

makes it clear. He wanted to go even further with the onscreen pyrotechnics but was talked out of it by VF veterans. Aoki ultimately wants to have Visuals that are flashier, more colorful, bigger explosions of color than both Tekken 7 and Street Fighter 6:cry:

This would be the wrong direction for the next version of Virtua Fighter:whistle:

VF6 needs to be cel-shaded. JSR devs are still at Sega, so they should make it happen.

Everybody is good compared to somebody.;)

@VFnumbers is a skilled Lei Fei player, he has more Lei Fei skills than some players, and there are some Lei Fei stylists that have more Lei Fei skills that VFnumbers. NO matter how good you think you are, there is someone better. No matter how bad you think you are, there is always someone worse.

We all have something we can teach each other. Over the years I have seen many Lei players and no two are alike. Every true VF player brings a unique perspective to the character. @ICHIBANin10000 wanted to bolster his skills by saying that he sparred with VFnumbers. But @ICHIBANin10000 still doesn't understand is that we all bring unique interpretations to a character. Because you've figured out one player after lots of rounds has no bearing on how you will fare with another player using the same character.

That's why FG players want to go to 1rst to 10. So we have time to figure out the other player. But if @ICHIBANin10000 was really the master he thinks he is, he would only need one round. Of course, the argument would be that anybody can win one round by luck, so we have to play lots on rounds to make sure luck was not inovled:ROTFL: But in reality you cannot , even luckily beat a true master, not even once.

So if we can be beat even once, that means we're still learning and we are not yet masters  If I chose not to lose to @ICHIBANin10000 he would not even be able to beat me one round. If he pays me my fee I'll show him what it means to be a master of Dead Duck Broken Wing Kungfu. Notwithstanding the fact that he spars with VFNumbers and Akira Zero:meh:

Seiji Aoki's vision for Virtua Fighter will encourage more misguided players like @ICHIBANin10000 to believe that they are capable of winning a match simply because they're Cosplaying Master Raven, or Jin, or Heihachi. These kinds of players actually believe the Red, Yellow , Purple and Blue hit sparks give them the power  I fear the whole Virtua Fighter x Tekken farce will ultimately serve to dilute the quality of martial arts stylists who are willing to play Virtua Fighter. On the other hand the weakest players will start to flock to the game asking for more and flashier hits sparks, colorful pyrotechnics, and cell shading:ninja:

    Obviously they wouldn't want that.

Well that would make VF, look like the early versions of Soul Calibur 6, with the large overdone, jelly looking splashes and splashes, which covered up some moves.
