I've been following them on twitter and yeah it seems they are very busy with E3, let's do it like you said. Come next week, we start messaging again! It's jihad! lalalalala

That reply, screams "wait till TGS bitches" to me /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

EDIT: I asked this on twitter...

"Still can't believe SEGA didn't Have Virtua Fighter 5 R at E3. Any chance you guys can find out if we'll know anything when TGS comes?"

Here's Sega's reply...

"we can ask, but typically if nothing had been announced it's because there is no new news. Will ask, can't promise answer."

Something I should mention is that a friend at SOJ who was the lead on valkyrie chronicles told me, personally, that "sega wants to hear the fans feedback". So I figure by writing on segas wall, we are doing exactly that. If someone from sega on the facebook site says we are causing trouble, im just gonnna tell him we are doing what we were asked to do.

What if the delay is because of an exclusive licensing agreement that was signed with Microsoft in the first place?

An agreement with Microsoft may be preventing them from releasing
online capability for the PS3 for a certain period of time.

I think Sega realizes now how central the PS3 version of VF is to
their overall VF strategy (whatever that is /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif ) It might be that sega cannot even comment because of how Microsoft usually
structures their exclusive aggreements.

I know Sega has issues I remember what happened with VF4FT, but
once you add Microsoft into the picture with all of their exclusive licensing schemes who-da-hell-knows. Maybe
Sega's hands are tied /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif

because of some agreement with Microsoft they may only be able to release a brand new version of VF ( VF6) for the PS3. Maybe that's what all of the silent treatment is all about.

From SEGA on Twitter in response to my request for VF5R on consoles:

\SEGA@gernburgs we hear lots of enthusiasm around this, but have nothing to report at this time.8 minutes ago from Twitterrific in reply to gernburgs

Sorry Po, but until then we aren't going to sit around and speculate on improbable situations :p If it was as you said, then we would have VF5R arcades out there, but we don't. So this is not like FT, and this is not some "console agreement scheme", it's SEGA not giving a fuck. We are making sure that they will give it, from now on.

we need to try and get other ppl who might be fans of this series to help out that may not be "regulars" on this board. Anyone try to post on srk or the other fighting game sites to get us support in our "campaign?"

its obvious that sega hears us but it needs to be OVERWHELMING and UNRELENTING.

If Sega's agreement with Microsoft was anything like this, then section 3 and 4 of the agreement could slow things down considerably.

You would be surprised how a Microsoft exclusive agreement can cause all kinds of problems for the unsuspecting. It might be
affecting alot /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif

With the amount of posts regarding VF5R on that wall I'm sure it had to have raised a flag in the Sega offices...

Can we also assault myspace etc?

Seriously, this facebook thing does nothing but put a constant smile on my face /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Keep it up folks!!

[EDIT]
SEGA's response,

To the very active VF5 community - thank you for your continued support, we don't have any updates about the game for E3. We really appreciate the feedback and hope you can understand that we don't have any news to report at this time. Our community team will be asking around about the title when we return to our offices, however we can't promise we'll be able to return with any news. Thanks!

/unsmile.
