IMO more than likely they will state a reason why they can't make the game. Be interesting to see what they can come up with this time, aside from not making much money.

I've been waiting for some answers.

Watch them try to pimp out that new sega all-star racers. Look you can play Akria and Jacky and why the fuck does sonic need a car anyway he runs faster then most motor vehicles.

I think that they might think they won't make money but it wouldn't necessarily be true at all if they actually made the game and pushed it with some marketing. The game could actually be a big hit because it is so refined and hard-hitting. It's definitely a VF game but I think they've added some really visually impressive techniques to the original framework of VF5.

Thanks for putting this document together, Myke. Must have been a hell of work.

Well yeah, every VF game is pretty. That goes without saying. Another "thing" i'm having is when people say marketing, what exactly are they referring to? Commercials tv ads, magazines, or internet? How much money does anyone think Sega would even put into it? I mean are they going to get a street team and go to all of the gatherings and tournaments? I am actually perplexed by this thought.

Sega makes, I will buy it. Don't know how that is going to work out with the rest of the world.

If VF had the same level of marketing as Bayonetta did it would sell much better.

Sadly that's probably true. Every weeboo likes the quiet-badass.

    ---
Of course advertising it as the game with the most varied customization options, user-friendly and accessible (with a proper dojo) could also do just as much.

I disagree. Bayonetta is a game that has the hype of the creator of DMC behind it. That in my opinion, is the games selling point. I believe if sega were to ever push any console vf in the future, they would have to do a lot better than Bayonetta, at least if they plan on going multiplatform (ps3 version i'm talking about you).

I don't mean it would sell better than Bayonetta.

I mean in comparrison to the Sales VF has at the moment.

    Which is nothing?

Vf's problem is Sega's problem. Corporate mismanagement on a global scale. I almost wish M$ actually did buy them. Sammy sure hasn't done much. I mean they could at least try to alienate Vf fans for sales like they do to Sonic fans. At least those games (as bad as they are)get created and are released.

I am in no way a professional or MBA by any means, but lets face it, Sega has a history of mishandling franchises and hardware. I believe they need new blood. They need a person who is more in touch with the global market to go in there and clean house.

Brilliant work Myke on compiling this, there aren't enough words to describe the level of respect I have for you to help/manage an endeavor like this.

And to everyone else who posted & registered just to post lets hope that beastly 100+ document is enough to give SEGA some serious thought on this issue.

Hmm, is this document going to be translated? (Not the actual individual posts, just the intro...) it might help a bit..

No plans on getting it translated for now, and it's too late anyway. Last I heard from kamaage, which was a few hours ago, he was on a train on his way to meet SEGA.
