Disc scratch help

i replace my game today considering it wasn't loading brad and aoi and surely others, but i'll never know cause it was replaced. Also, my xbox was 2nd generaltion or whatever. I bought it new about 4 or 5 months ago.

 

mine was more of a first gen. but i saddly had to return it. nothing worked. when it would give me the disk error. taking it out then putting it back in i lose progess,the match, and what not. so i was like well damn so after trying everything i just returned vf.

 

Wish I would have registered yesterday.
I had a similar problem that was caused by the 360 being turned while the disc was playing. I couldn't go into any fights and the back of my menu was black.
Fortunately I had to VF5 discs already but I just fixed the scratched one the other day using an old box of DiscRestore\DiscRxestore (the R is similar to the Rx on medicine).
Worked surprisingly well.
