Did you buy the Customization Packs?

    'Learn'? What sorcery is this?

Having said that I just bought customisation pack 1, which took all of 1 second to download almost 4gb of data... which means all the data IS on my 360 with the Sarah pack but remained locked out, even for viewing.

Urrgh. Please Sega, don't go down the Capcom route of ass raping your supporters. I still have the previous taste in my mouth. [IMG]

    Question.
I bought the single pack for Vanessa. Will I still be able to see all other characters customized online? I've only seen another Vanessa customized since I've been playing, and it scares me. 2GB for one character's data? I find that hard to believe.

i think the way it works on XBox is that if you buy even one character pack, it makes you download the data for all of them, but only the ones you bought will be usable. that's what the case was with my bro who bought it on XBL. he bought Lei-fei's pack and let it download overnight (2GB according to the XBox). then i convinced him to buy the rest (in bundles) and it literally took 10 seconds total for both bundles to "download". it was probably just unlocking the data to be used.

having said all that, no, you can't see someone else's customizations unless you have bought the character pack for that character.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. Well. I wish I wouldn't have bought the single pack with this knowledge. Kinda defeats the whole purpose of having fun seeing others customized.

Speaking of them, will we ever see full videos of the customization items for each character?

I find it really annoying that we can't see item packs we don't have access to, given that we have to download them all anyway. I would have though t the whole point of forcing you to have the entire 2GB was so you could at leat appreciate the outfits of others.

I bought both packs and I keep getting matched against people in the default outfits. What a waste.

Do you think they will release a patch? I'd like to be able to use the motto system and some of the other cool stuff they got in the arcade versions.

I only bought the El Blaze costume pack. I dont play anyone else so I didnt really see the point in buying all of them.

Even with the bundles I think the DLC for this game is overpriced.

I guess I'm one of the few who'll agree. The $15 sale for all the costumes on PSN during launch week was good value, but double the price of the game for customization isn't a risk a non-VF player can take. I recently caved and bought Lau's pack even though I still thought $5 per character was too much. The extra costumes are nice, but the customization options don't seem that great for Lau. If single character packs drop in price I might get one or two more just for the hell of it, but I otherwise have no plans to buy anything else.

Agreed. $30 is too much. Id cop for $20 max(mainly for that mode..can't remember the name). I don't understand why they did it that way. Why not include quest mode and have it set up like it was in vf4?

Cause Sega now ain't what they used to be 10 years ago in the VF4 era.

Yeah, clearly, Sega's rolling in profits, what with Shogun 2 Total War DLC and Football Manager appealing to a wide audience and being the top selling games of all time.

I caught up with the president of Sega for his thoughts:
