Denkai are you THAT scorned over your loss? He beat you not once, but twice in that tourney. I'd say it was pretty convincing there Apollo... you had your shot. This proves nothing. I say till next time you guys meet again in a tournament setting so you can pay him back - to which we all know you're capable of doing.

You're a great player, but I say let Flash have his day and support him while he's in China. It's not his fault you underestimated him.

Edit: On another note I think your idea of grudge matches is not a bad idea so long as people don't get carried away. I've seen people go too far or read too much into these types of things... I wonder who has a grudge on me? Anyone?

Flash, don't hesitate to punish Lau's PPP7K after block it (which is -22), it's not online man, don't be scared.
And the most important thing is you need to force Lau stop using (3)PPP stuff!! The last two P are high, so you can use 2P IMMEDIATELY to crash it(especially when Lau tends to do something delay after his PPP). Of course Lau can still handle that by using PPP2K WITHOUT any inputs delay, but he also brings himself into a big gambling situation.

Don't forget using your 4P more with a little distance(Keep the distance with Lau is very important for Wolf), coz Lau needs the space for his moves such as 3PP,33PP, and 6PP. You can easily find out 4P is one fucking good move against Lau!! Of course Lau can also crouch to get close to you when he realizes your 4P, but he also makes himesllf abandon his powerful moves already.

It's not easy for Wolf to handle the characters who has speed, especially Lau. Wolf barely has advantage moves on closed distance against Lau, even you claim 63214PP is good but we have to admit that is still risky when the opponent block the first attack(Wolf's P+K+G is also not very good for Lau either). When you feel unconfortable, just go away as far as you can by using 44(at least keep the distance to avoid Lau's elbow).

Based on the characteristic, Lau is the predator against Wolf, but I'm glad Betabow shares every detail with me~~ If Denkai could beat you 10 in straight, you must miss something very important during those matches.

Btw, I would rather take Lau's PPP2K instead of PPP7K~ because it's worth when you block it!!

 

I don't think any Lau should 3ppp4k. VS slower characters, Lau has a huge advantage against anything other than a big defense and game centered around getting MC damage. Lau has speed and the best simple elbow game. Offline if you can land elbows, hit check 3p, see stance and crouchdash fuzzy when guarded, that alone is so strong. There's not many situations where a Lau is forced to commit. I was very surprised that Chief's wolf is very similar to Asian wolf's here, meaning using similar wolf setups after an opponent is down. Just a simple 50/50 forced guess, but if Denkai can dodge the right direction and teg, it eliminates a big part of that game. i.e. Wolf makes a down opponent and either sidekick, 9pk, spinning elbow and of course occasionally crouch dash slight delay into 6kg for stumble or rising elbow looking for MC for a stumble. I also saw a habit of Chief which was to 2p after 33pk was guarded. I think wolf should p to force clash if a throw is anticipated or just eteg because of wolf 2p's it will lead to big MC damage by the opponent. I played Chief online with my Lau from Asia and he won a lot, but online changes all the rules that make certain play style strong. Before Chief goes to play a tournament with Asia guys he should play as much offline VF as possible with fast players like Denkai and Konjou. Characters like Lau and Jacky are played so frequently that in a normal players hands they have very similar styles by all Lau's and all Jacky's which is also the down point. I guess Denkai will win this challenge since he has many years offline experience now and some in long 1 vs 1 style. I did see something special from Chief's wolf which is to cancel the charging rush into throw, seldom seen anymore and a good freezing opponent method. Chief please take my advice in a good way. cheers!
