@Tricky Mila has the cancels in DOA, but they work like Aoi's cancels, not Eileens. There are about 5 options and you can do double cancels from some things. Mila is also the lightest character in DOA like Eileen in FS >_<

 

Mila isn't the lightest. Mila is a lightweight. Alpha is the lightest being the only featherweight in the game.

 

SMH that you guys still count Alpha a boss char. OK the boss char that is a POS and shouldn't be in tournies is the lightest char.

 

Well, until the community decides to ban the character (which I would fully support), no reason not to count her. Especially when the combo challenge and in game tutorials specifically has stuff just for her since she's the only featherweight in the game.

 

Yeah I thought Lili from Tekken too. Honestly I didn't like what I saw in terms of her fighting style, but TN gets 2 thumbs up and a foot from me. The character model is insanely beautiful. The wonky style they decided to give her though......

agree with the fighting style. She looks and moves damn good though. Sega needs to do that next gen shit.

I been trying to get a used copy from Gamestop so I can return it if I don't like it. They be on that bull though. Tryin to sell opened games as new.. FOH.

I'm pretty sure I won't like it too much. I played the demo of 4 a long while ago and couldn't really vibe with it. But it's a lot later now and maybe my taste for it will change. It's the whole reversal (or holds) thing being a huge part of the game is kinda why I don't/didn't like it.

 

You're on PSN, so you can get core fighters-the free to play version of DOA5U if you want...It has four permanent characters-Ryu Hayabusa, Hayate, Ayane and Kasumi...along with two temporary, rotating characters. As of right now, it is Mila and Rig. You can buy whatever other characters, stages, songs, etc. to "create" as much of a full game that you want. Either way, you can still play online with those who have the full version.

Hahah, yea I know, I shouldn't I really do want to like it.. I may just dive into it after Christmas. Pai looks pretty awesome in there. I don't mean the character model, just her fighting in there in general. And Akira. That dude was doin people dirty with him, lol.

 

So last night at Super arcade there was only 2 entrants for doa and 1 was myself! Is DOA already dying?!!!

 

There was tons of full lobbies online the other night, as opposed to the barren wasteland you showed us on stream in FS rooms and ranked. PS4 probably dented it a bit.

 

I ain't talking about online fool! I meant at the actual arcade. None! Of the DOA regulars have been showing up. looks like they're about to suffer VFs fate in so cal

 

@steelbaz-That's true-DOA is more popular..

Still, from what I've seen, the reception and exposure of VF-characters to DOA has been pretty positive. Bringing new fans of VF characters and potential players.

In fact, I know several new players from the DOA community that have gotten into this game...and vice versa as well(Myself included-going into DOA).

So overall, both communities are helping one another to grow.

It's true the last two wnf vf tourneys we're made up with 4+ DOA players and 1tekken. But what I'm seeing is the same ol' thing. One or two key players don't show up one week and the rest of the player base drops off! It even happened to the teken players here at super arcade(they are recovering though). So if DOA doesn't get at least 6 entrants for the next two weeks I'm pronouncing it dead as vf in so cal

Of course it's all about 2d there but they offered vf and DOA room to play with open arms but we as a community are throwing they're offer away by not showing up!
