    If there's 1 thing you can guarantee with the release of a new VF, it's someone asking how to do Akira's knee (possibly the most asked question on VFDC). [​IMG]

    Maybe at some point a mod could move it over to the FS section.

    Quite a while back I wrote down all the common move abbreviations for Akira in the VF5 wiki:

    A few moves and quite a few throws have changed since VF5 however ([​IMG][6][P] is no longer a sgpm for example, "TFT" no longer gives combos etc)

    I tried those out on Akira, and they don't float high enough for qcb[P] to hit. [​IMG] I'm assuming guys of similar weight and heavier won't float high enough either.

    Manjimaru, your 33P, 6k,p 214p dlc combo works on normal hit against lightweights.


    vs Lightweights;

    4,6p: (hold forward) p 3k+g,p,466p+k = 63 damage
    tarou kanpo p:4p,p+k 214p 3k+g,p,466p+k = 92 damage
    33p: 6k,p 214p 3k+g,p,466p+k = 97 damage
    6,4p+g: 2k+g,p 2p (2)6p,p = 76 damage
    214p: 6k,p 4,3p (hold g) (2)6p,p = 90 damage
    666p ch: 2p 4,3p 2k+g,p,p = 82 damage
    666p ch: 2k+g,p 3k+g,p,466p+k = 82 damage
    3p+k ch: 2k+g,p 2p (2)4,6p = 78 damage
    3p+k ch: 2k+g,p p (2)4,6p = 79 damage (not really worth it since its a lot harder than the combo above and only for 1 point damage more)
    knee: 6k,p p 4,3p (2)6p,p: 92 damage
    inashi p: same combos as 666p ch

    vs Taka:

    4,6p up close: (hold forward)p 66k,k = 57 damage
    4,6p distance: (2)6p,p = 52 damage
    666p normal hit: (2)4,6p = 41 damage
    666p normal hit only open stance: k+g,p = 46 damage
    666p ch: p 66k,k: 65 damage
    1p: (2)4,6p: 46 damage far, 59 to 61 up close. 1p does more damage up close
    33p: 214p dash up fast p, 66k,k: 80 damage
    214p: 214p p 66k,k: 74 damage
    6,4p+g: (2)6p,p: 52 damage, timing is really awkward, beginning to think its inconsistent.
    6,4p+g: 66k,k: 49 damage
    tarou kanpo p: p:4p,p+k 214p 3k+g,p,466p+k = 92 damage
    3p+k ch: 3k+g,p,466p+k: 65 damage
    knee:4,3p (2)6p,p: 69 damage

    Maybe there's a typo in what you listed...but did you check if the hit counter turned green when you pulled this off?

    I tried this on everyone outside of Taka, and it does not work.

    After [2][1][4][P] you can go for either [4][6][P]>[6][6][K][K] or [1][P]>[6][6][K][K] but [4][6][P]>[1][P]>[6][6][K][K] does not work. It's recoverable in all directions after [1][P]

    Man someone needs to collect these combos to a list, since I think people are posting combos that do less damage than combos listed before. Ill try to make a concise list at some point.

    ps. [2][1][4][P] -> [2][1][4][P] -> dash Knee -> [2][K]+[G][P] : [P] = 88 normal hit on midweights I believe.

    I listed one for tarou kanpo, but didn't used the notation for 66p+k because he has other moves that go into the stance.

    There seems to be some problems with this combo, it works on Eileen, Blaze and Aoi on normal hit, but not Pai, Sarah or others at all.

    On other lightweights
    [3][3][P] -> [6][K][P] -> [4][3][P] (LB) -> [P] -> [​IMG][4][6][P] for 90 on normal hit. Instead of P-doublepalm you can do DLC against some characters(at least Vanessa) for same 90 damage, but the doublepalm combo is more reliable.

    Ah ok yeah I tried it out on El Blaze and Aoi, so was assuming it would work on the others as well.

    Combos i'm posting here are ones I got from vids before the console port got released, haven't messed around to see if there's higher damage stuff out there but i've tested all these ones.

    Standing Palm Combos

    [4][6][P]> [P]> [4][3][P]> [​IMG][6][P][P] - Eileen, 73 damage.

    [4][6][P]> [P]> [K]+[G](release [G] within 1 frame)> [2][P]> [​IMG][4][6][P] - Sarah, 73 damage.

    [4][6][P]> [P]> [K]+[G](release [G] within 1 frame)> [2][P]> [4][P][P]+[K] - Vanessa, 74 damage.

    [4][6][P]> [P]> [2][K]+[G][P](on hit)[P] - Wolf, Open stance only 63 damage.

    Note: Looks like this could also work in Closed stance but timing is finicky.

    [4][6][P]> [P]> [6][6][K][K] - Taka, 57 damage.

    SDE Combos

    [6][6][6][P]> [2][P]> [4][3][P]> [​IMG][6][P][P] - Everyone up to and including Lion, 80 damage.

    [6][6][6][P]> [P]> [3][K]+[G][P][4][6][6][P]+[K] - Lau, Jacky, Akira and Jean, 75 damage.

    Koboku Combos

    [2][1][4][P]> [2][1][4][P]> [K]+[G](release [G] within 1 frame)> [3][K]+[G][P][4][6][6][P]+[K] - Lightweights, 88 damage.

    [2][1][4][P]> [2][1][4][P]> [3][3][P]> [6][6][K][K] - Lau, Jacky, Akira and Jean, 86 damage.

    Youhou Combos

    [3][3][P]> [6][K][P]> [4][3][P]> [​IMG][6][P][P] - Everyone up to and including Lion, 93 damage.

    Note: Vs some characters you can replace [4][3][P] with [2][1][4][P] for slightly more damage, needs testing.

    [3][3][P]> [6][K][P]> [3][K]+[G][P][4][6][6][P]+[K] - Lau, Jacky, Akira and Jean 83 damage

    [3][3][P]> [2][1][4][P]> [3][K]+[G][P][4][6][6][P]+[K]- Taka, 79 damage.

    Youshisenrin Combos

    [6][4][P]+[G]> [2][K]+[G][P]> [2][P]> [​IMG][6][P][P] - Lightweights? Tested vs Eileen, 76 damage.

    [6][4][P]+[G]> [2][K]+[G][P]> [P][K][G]> [2][P]> [​IMG][4][6][P] - Seems to be max damage against specific midweights, tested vs Lion, 74 damage.

    Note: Timing is strange on this, makes it hard to test.

    [6][4][P]+[G]> [2][K]+[G][P]> [K]+[G][P] - Everyone except Jean and Taka? 66 damage.

    [6][4][P]+[G]> [6][6][K][K] - Jean and Taka, 49 damage.

    Other Stuff

    Teiroukanpo [P]> [4][P][P]+[K]> [2][1][4][P]> [3][K]+[G][P][4][6][6][P]+[K] - Works on everyone, 92 damage.

    CH [4][3][P] [8] or [2][P]> [3][K]+[G][P][4][6][6][P]+[K] - Works on everyone, 89 damage.

    Wallsplat> [K]+[G](1 frame [G] release)> [2][1][4][P]> [3][K]+[G][P][4][6][6][P]+[K]> [​IMG][6][P](on hit)[P]

    Need to test some more stuff and finish this off later, I don't mind compiling the other stuff and see if we can get a more definitive list of his max damage stuff.

    Was trying [3][3][P]> [6][K][P]> [4][3][P]> [​IMG][6][P][P] on lau, but it doesn't work in open foot, need to test with other chars

    I agree. I was thinking I could edit the first post and consolidate all the combos (with damages) there, but it turns out you need special permission to edit your own post after some time.

    working on Lion in closed stance with some weird timing of the punch..

    edit. On Sarah in closed stance when Standing palm connects at max range

    Cant get this to work.

    Wtf, why the startup of [4][6][P] becomes 15 after [4][3][P] while it should be 14? It makes it impossible to combo [4][6][P] after CH [4][3][P] :cry: What remains is only [P][K]/[​IMG][4][6][P]/[2] or [8][P] DLC.
