I've got a working button on my old Evo hori stick like I told you before. Will you give it a shot to replace the P button with that? That would save a lot of hassles.

I will show up on Fri night after work.

no worries mate, the buttons are on the way and will be here LONG before this weekend. I will get over to a place to use their soldering iron or get my shit together since I have money to do so.

Nope, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth yet. I'll be closing on the new house tomorrow, and moving throughout the week, with most of it occuring next weekend.

After things settle down a little bit, I'll be back around to play some more.

    Seeyas then!

I am teh suck. I apologize so much. I wasn't able to get the weekend off from work. I am going to put in a request for time off for 3-4 weeks from now. once I do that and have the time off confirmed, then I'll repost. I apologize for my stupidity and getting your hopes up.
anyway, if I have 3 weeks notice, more michigan people can come. so it's kind of balanced, I suppose.

    again, apologies.

Adidas: It's a real bummer than you can't make it. Let us know how it goes.

SH_: I am really hoping to have the stick before you leave for Chicago if possible. Is it ready yet?

Re: OH SHIT, happy birthday Jimmy

Sup yos, got cable internet hooked up at the new pad but it only worked for one day, so I'm posting from my bro's comp here in Ravenna to drop a line saying that I'm hoping to be down this upcoming saturday July 9th for some VF if anyone's down. Hopefully I'll be able to check back here before then to see what's going on if anything. Gotta go back home and finish cleaning up the new digs then maybe finally get around to installing those sanwa buttons i bought two months ago, heh.

I'm terribly out of practice so this should be a good refresher course. I'll holler at ya on AIM if I can later this week to make sure.

All good G, just get at us, new AIM = thought84, get at me through that, normally not busy unless I am teching it, or working out, ce la vie, just drop a line, and worse case scenario, bring the buttons with, and I can do my best to take care of it. We will do our best to accomodate /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hey, Mike. Thx for getting hold of us. I can't believe how rare it's to be asked for VF thesedays, so I really like your request. I will be definately down for some VFing on Sat.

I am rescheduling my weekend plan for this so if things change, please let me know. Otherwise I will see you on Sat.

    Re: Question for you Maddy

I have the training mode Akira set to guard and counterattack with low [P]. So I do Sarah's [P][2][K], which causes Akira to stagger since he tried to counterattack with a crouch move.

After causing this stagger, I follow up with the standing [P][K] string. Now here's the funny part: Sometimes it connects, and sometimes he blocks it. There seems to be no consistancy to it either. Sometimes it works in open stance, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it works in closed stance, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it works while holding forward, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it works with neutral stick position, sometimes it doesn't. The [P][K] string is buffered, of course, so it shouldn't be a timing issue. The [P] is coming out as fast as possible.

Is this just some quirk of the game, or is there some specific reason this doesn't work consistantly?

    Re: Question for you Maddy

Hey, Mike. First of all, a great session we had last weekend. I was really happy for you trying to lrean VF. That's the spirit I've been looking for.

Regarding the stagger situation. I'd say it shouldn't be that inconsistent regarding the CPU Akira struggling after your P2K, but it sounds like it is.

I don't know why it struggles differently(or why it does even struggle), but the point is you get a stagger by P2K, so if your opponent doesn't struggle, PK
    becomes guaranteed.

I'd recommend that more common follow ups from P2K stagger would be a run up throw or a mid attack( Serpent or elbow). A high P after P2K is not too hard to struggle out of for a player with a decent struggling ability.

Keep up the good work and post up when you want to get some games in. As you know, maddy always tries his best to accommodate for the VF scene's need. =)
