My Virtua Sticks came in today, and I must say that after playing with them for a bit before work I have mixed feelings about them. Particularly with the stick itself. You move the stick a fraction of an inch and it clicks the contact, but then you've got almost an entire quarter inch PAST that of dead space for the stick to continue moving. I keep missing dashes and moves that I NEVER missed on a pad. Hopefully it's just something that'll take some getting used to.

The button layout, however, is pure genius. It makes me want to go out and buy a 5 button game just so I can lay my thumb and fingers across the bottom row.

Good job getting the sticks! From my exp, the problem you are having is the one that everyone experiences when they switch from using a pad. My advice is definately sticking with the stick. It will pay off big time at the end.

Glad that Ohio's added one more serious player to our group. I guess props go to everyone of us. See you all in Sun.

Long time no see, fellas. I was thinking about coming to the OMC5 Tourney at OSU. If I'm able to go and the VF crew(*cough* Maddy *cough*) ends up showing, how about a mini-tourney or something? I'm really out of practice right now but I might have a few shenanigans up my sleeve. I need to redeem myself for that beatdown Kojiro so mercilessly handed out in Chicago. So, lemme know and I'll talk to Sean on AIM about it.

I'll be around about that time as well. I won't be bringing my Virtua Stick though, as two of the buttons I use now like to get stuck when I press them. If I'm gonna stick with the stick, I'm gonna wanna put some Sanwas in it.

I've never soldered anything in my life though. Maybe I could hire that buddy of yours, Maddy? I'm sure he's got LOADS of experience from you by now. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I haven't had much time to play lately anyway, so no doubt I'm a little out of practice. Been busy househunting and stuff. If all goes well I'll be moving to Delaware here shortly.

I've been meaning to ask you what website you'd recommend for getting some Sanwa buttons? I'm still having trouble inputting command throws, throw escapes, and recoveries; pretty much stuff that requires multiple button presses, so I'm thinking maybe I should really start seriously looking into it.
