It seems as though the MoAT plans may fall through so in case that happens (which is possible since we haven't heard word one since god knows when), I do plan on going to Evo 2k3. It may cost a bit but to me it would be worth it not because there's a chance I may do well but because even if we don't have the gods of the stick (Minami Akira, Chibita, Aroshi, etc.), doesn't mean it'll be a bad gathering or not a challenge. It'll still be doing something to support the game we know (extraordinarily well) and love, plus you would still be getting a challenge out of it. So if you can find a way to scrape up limited funds (which believe me we are all experiencing), and get there, I think it would be for the best and we would all find it a rich and rewarding experience. /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I will more likely attending summer school, so making

Evo3k will be hardly happening for me. It would take

for 6 days just driving back and forth, and I won't be

able to afford the plane ticket unfortunately.

For now, I am sticking with Moat. I don't believe that

Moat is gonna be cancled. Plus, I personally think

of intense competition as a worth of traveling, so if

I am not seeing the possibility enough competition

up in Toronto, I might gonna give up on it,too.

(Here, I don't just mean tournament. I just want to

meet players and play the game that I like most.

Tournament is something extra for me.)


In the end, it is just me. Sean, if you are going to go

to Evo3k, I think it will be great. Getting a second hand

experience will be awesome for our members here.

Since, Jason, Kenji, Roger will be going there too, the

trip will be a good one for sure.

 

I feel ya on the summer school thing so I can't complain towards those ends. However, even if MoAT does fall through, there'll be plenty of things that we could go to so don't give up on em just yet (trust me, this is Sean talkin here). Whenever you are able to get together again, I'd be down for it, just give a buzz.

I have been looking for VF4 tournaments or gatherings

, but so far I couldn't find anything attractive except

Moat.

I have to make a plan ahead like all of you do, so I

hope that some kind of tournamnet info gets available

pretty soon.

Anyway, It seems like Cleveland crew will come down

here anytime in the future, so let's get ready to the

Yeah, there is the team Columbus in Columbus, OH.

We have about 5 players in Columbus, who regularly

play VF4 together. There are few more VF4 fans in

Cleveland whom we are looking forward to meeting

any time soon.


Speaking of NYC gathering, hell ya. We've always

wanted to attend the gathering. Anytime when you

have chance can you post some information about

next NYC gathering? I would appreiciate that very

much.

BTW, I all of sudden got some infor about NYG4. The event will

be on May 30th through June second. There will be a 3 on 3

tournament, so if we make this, we will be the team Columbus

for the tourney. This gathering is invitation only. That means

we have to get a permission from Newyork crew. Post a reply

as soon as possible about your thought, opinion,or question.

After we gathered our thoughts toghther and if we decide to

go, I will PM Newyork crew for it. So think about this but

better do it hurry cause the tourney comes so close now.

I've been busy with my school and work thesedays,

and I have nothing confirmed yet.

I need to hear thoughts of everyone first, cause If we

can't get 3 ppl, we are not gonna make it to the tourney

anyways.

IMO the event is too close so It will be hard to arrange

all the things in a given amount of time. I need Jason's

response anyway, and if we get to go to the tourney,

I will do my best.

We normally hang out from 12pm to very late, but

if you guys want to extend the time, we can start out

earlier.

We play Evo, so no custom characters. But, I will try

out the action replay code for all the items pretty soon

since I am almost done with Quest mode with Akira.

If the code worked out, we could create our custom

characters in one memory card for the gathering day.

It will be a mad fun, and we are really looking forward

to playing you guys. Try finding the weekend for all of

you so that we can meet as many players as possilbe.

Man, hella short notice for NYG4...I think I'm with Jimmy with this one since not only is it coming up really fast, but I will still probably be dealing with the tail end of school stuff, so I don't know...the 3 on 3 tourney sounds serious...we should discuss it more in depth this weekend though.

Well, I've started playing again, I'm at the first gray/black rank, and really close to a ranking match. Jimmy, how many ranks do I have to go until Big Happy Super Mega Emperor Dude? 4? I'm not sure...oh and I think to unlock the extra vs tournies you also have to be a certain rank (probably Small Emperor) which would explain why I haven't unlocked it yet.

rank. How many rank have you gone up since 10th
