Because I am hardly home. (Work starts in the morning and then school afterwards followed by another work at night). I usually get on AIM at around 11 after work, but exams are taking my AIM time away, so...

Anyhow, April 2nd sounds good to me. I will be most likely having more free time in the future.

BTW, I was suprised to see how Kat played as I didn't know it was her first time playing VF. It didn't seem like it at all, so props for her potential.

As soon as I have my PS2 back in my posession, I will be training hemma hard for some action this weekend against any scrubs I can entice into playing at Whempys.

Can you believe that some of them have actually said to me "Man, put in a real fighting game like Tekken"? A few have even had the nerve to say I suck at the game....that is, until we've had a few matches and I've warmed up on them and kicked the crap out of them.

Scrubs. They need to recognize /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Go ahead and put in TK4 if they request. Proceed to 2,1 them to death with Jin...they will never want to play TK4 again.

Awww, thanks Jimmy!!! I definitely take that as a compliment, however I have to admit that I had played the game ONE other time at Geoff's house.

I got to do some training last night and I think that I'm getting the hang of the controller a bit better. Only problem being that I still get hung up on stupid moves!! It baffles me but hopefully I'll get it down soon.

I think the one that I kept having trouble with was or something along those lines. I nailed the 360 degree throw almost my first try though. So I don't know what's up with that. I'll get it down some day! I'm going to try to rent the game while I am on vacation because my brother in law has a PS2. That might help me out some!!!

Kat... It isn't a 360 degree throw. It is a 270. Like going from left all the way to up counter-clockwise. You know... a 360 without 90 degrees... Haha...
You do have one in Flamingo as well, and they are both decent damage.

And I would help you if you didn't get so damn discouraged and look at me like you were trying to shoot frickin lasers out of your eyes, hahhahaa


As for the new guy... We mostly play in Columbus. It would be cool to see another new face there if you were able to drive to Columbus. Heck, I would even have everyone over my house in Cincinnati. Feel free to message me on AIM... Iconoclastblaze.

Hello. Welcome to this thread. I am maddy and live in Columbus. There's a guy whose nick is Akai in Cleveland as far as a VF player. He's been looking for comp forever so he will be more than glad to get a hook up with you. He lives real close to Case Western University.

As far as E9, when will it be? 8 players from Ohio attended E8 in Iowa, and we took the 2nd, 5th, and 6th place in VF actually. Well, we will see. =)

Again, thanks for making the post here. We've always been looking for new players ,and I love it when everyone becomes friends quickly through VF.You can ask anyone in Ohio how it's happened.

what up man, welcome to ohio. I'm one of the columbus players and I play leifei. I play MANY other games however so if u ever find ure way down here, u will have mad ppl to play against in anything from VF (duh), Tekken, CVS, alpha 3, super turbo, ggxx, etc. so we hope we can get u down here sometime. I'm normally the one who hosts the gatherings so when ever u feel like comin down, let me know and we'll get this shit crackin. As far as E9 is concerned, I'd like 2 go but I am poor like no ones bidness and right now, EVO 2k4 is my main concern as I will DEFINITELY be goin to that (don't care what God says /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif). Are u friends with Turn waster and them cause of met a couple of them at some different gatherings. Welcome to the fold G /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

yeah akai i remember you from awhile ago.. .we need to get together sometime.. .i know a couple of ohiotekken players that also play alittle vf4.. .besides tekkeni play alot of other shit like 3s, ST, MKT, and Pit Fighter /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif.. .

oh in VF4 i use Kage.. .i'm starting to use Aoi and Akira tho.. .

i know just about everyone in the ohiotekken crew.. .

Nah, I only play VF all the way. T4 and SVC are the only other games that's worth playing IMO.

I play mostly Evo, but I think it gets a bit stressful playing the same game so much. So I play other games to stay sane.

I alternate between playing, searching for infor, practicing, watching clips, and chating people in order to make myself not get stressed out. Balancing those is hard and it's even harder to balancing VF with other things in my life. =P

I meant 360 as in you go around the direction pad all the way but now that I think about it 270 makes more sense for that also!!!!

And as for the glaring... it's not at you...I just can't glare at myself!! I'm not fond of failing at things!
