1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

I was wondering, has anyone played this on OpenNet, and done comparisons between whether its faster on cable broadband/ADSL or OpenNet has better response times ?

I wish I came across this thread a few weeks ago... I took a visit to Singapore, and was searching for local scenes for pretty much any fighter...

I might visit again in the future... I will post here before I return though...

How's everyone been ? I think the scene is pretty much dead now though, with maybe the few chaps who still play on PS3. I can't be arsed with paying the xbox live subscriptions now that the darn thing is so expensive and work is taking priority....

Lets try to restart VF again. This is the best fighting game ever. Hard to let go.

Anyone want to start playing? Any people willing to host? Send me a message with your contact info.

Wow. Its been 17 yrs since 2007 when I last posted. Tried getting into streetfighter6 briefly but can't seem to "mesh" into the system. Must be the 6 button inputs and needing a direction to guard.

VF5:Revo (in beta) has been a good experience for me(since Saturday). Without anyone to fight, any game will be dead..but it doesn't apply to VF5:Revo as the multiplayer experience has generally been good so far.

Coming back to the game "nooby fresh" with an enlightened perspective, I went back to Sarah as my 1st main character, using SC2 tactics. Imagining 1K as X 3B, 66K as Cervy 66B, 2A spam, Backturned setups, Taki possession mixups in Flamingo, Asta's buffered directional throws, 7K as Cass yolo/punish 236B, 2K to close out games and 3K+G as Yun's 11K to break standing guard with some evasion ability. U get the idea.

I generally do not like Soul Calibur 6 with its time-wasting RE mechanics, meter and non-intuitive mechanics, and I am mentioning this here as it has greatly disillusioned me and rediscovering this title has brought me back full circle to my Soul Calibur 2 roots and why I loved it so much.

Anyway if there are new/returning players to VF5 thanks to the recent publicity, do post here as I think the base gameplay mechanics are great and worth training in. The mindgame can also be intense, fast paced if you wish to pursue an aggressive offence, or bait and whiff punish should u so choose.
