Err no you can't. I'm not operations =P. I just try to pass comments from people along to the techs/bosses and hopefully they can do something abt it.

The news I got is that this being the funky "international" version, there's no card system. Go figure.

Japan has a habit of hoarding cool arcade features to themselves it seems.

Probably Sega just doesn't have the resources to operate VF.NET on a worldwide basis. But still. Couldn't we have gotten like an international version of the card system without VF.NET? Lol.

In that case, can you pass a message to the technical staff and ask them to take a look (and fix) the VF5 stick for the second player's side? (the machine next to the soccer game). Was there yesterday and couldn't pull off some of the moves as smoothly as on the other machine..

    Thanks!

He's achieved both while in Japan...

Dolled up and rank that is, never was about rubbing it to people.

Just having some fun at his expense. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif After all, I'll probably never fly on a plane, let alone visit Japan; even if I do, my butter fingers would never let me make it past 1st dan.

... as I was saying, danny13, about that SPOD-wallhit-doublepalm (dug up old Akira vs Sarah video) ... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif (private joke)

    SO its you!

Hey identify yourself when you post please. I was wondering who the fuck it was to come and tell me that I want card system to rub people. If it was a joke, it wasn't that funny.

You said to me at Bugis that with all my skills I should be able to beat the CPU and you are disappointed. Hey dude, I don't even play CPU at home on the PS3 and to me kicking the CPU's ass is not an acheivement OR to ENTERTAIN anyone.

Finally, with regards to the SPOD-wallhit-doublepalm thing, I kept telling yar it depends on DISTANCE! DISTANCE! DISTANCE!

With all said and no offense to you, welcome to the SG community! I hope you would bring your Pai to another level(not to beat the CPU!).

    3 Cheers for Chri...err Shiki!

But its still best of 2!

Many new people trying out the game against the CPU was so pissed. The CPU was set to obnoxiously hard that they were losing on the first game! It made it worse when it best of 2.

    Kindly feedback to the management....

    Hi, Shiki,

Will truly appreciate if u could really adjust the difficulty level & best of 5 rounds of those 2 machines.

Btw, what is this V-Card reader that u mentioned in your earlier post?

That SPOD mention was just to see if you remember me; I'm not so 'supid' as to go into a SPOD debate with the Meijin who spent yesterday evening flinging the other ppl around like ragdolls (just exaggerating; I know it wasn't totally one-sided). Apologies for any offense taken.

Seriously, setting the difficulty so high will be a put-off to new and weaker players like myself. A lot of the lower echelons have problems just making it past the first AI already. If someone can look into getting the operators to setting the difficulty lower or even better set to best-of-5, it will help immensely into getting VF5 popular here (and also be more bang-for-buck for challenge sprees).

For people like myself, playing AI is vital for practise since I don't have a current-gen console at home for personal use. Since starting VF5, the new timing (or was it the looser stick) has thrown off my feeble attempts at control input and I can't do half the things I could with Pai in FT (and I am reduced to using Jerkman's cheap tricks in the night's challenge spree against the lower echelon players). How am I going to learn Eileen or El Blaze like this?!

That's why I was just walking around watching the show; a challenge from me will be like that from a baby who has yet to get his feet steady under him, and I was waiting for a machine to be free for quiet practise.

Do you know who's the guy with dyed hair who came in sometime later; I'm nursing a grudge (just kidding) cos he picked on me just as I was about to try out Kage (my 3rd primary) for the first time ever in VF5. I know he didn't know and wasn't malicious but I was still **** cos I was just getting psyched into relearning Kage.

    LOL!
That was DriftSilencer(Alvin)! Yeah we didn't know how new you were. We'll try not 'pick' on you then. Our apologies.

By the way, what's your real name?? I can't call you Supid at the arcade. People will think I'm rude.

Could you be referring to me? Didn't realise you were playing VF5 for the first time.. your Kage moved pretty well, so I couldn't tell.

Anyway, I am practicing VF5 too, learning Goh and Brad's combos one at a time. It will take a while, since the AI doesn't fall for the setups like the FT machine in the early rounds.

Bad Alvin! Bad Alvin! Beat beat!

    Jus kidding.

I'm not that new; I picked up a little Kage (did say he was my 3rd primary) starting in VF4, but it was the first (or was it second?) time I was trying out Kage in VF5 and I still don't know any of his new stuff (such as the nerfing of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif), especially his new stance. Anyway, I'm focusing on Pai and Jerkman for now.

It's alright to call me 'Supid'; its a reminder that I've been very supid when I'm younger and still will be very supid when I'm older. However, if you insist on being polite, my english name is Peter.

You guys are still way above me; though I understand on a mental level much of VF's mechanics (I can follow gameplay when watching), but manually I BEEP and my reflexes are BEEP BEEP BEEP (pardon, I avoid swearing in RL): I can't evade or throw escape to save my life. And I only got half-serious in VF in the last year when I decide I will come down to get my quota of getting trashed on a regular basis.

Anyway I won't be at the forefront of VF here; I enjoy playing casually and enjoy watching lively matches (IMAO it's like appreciating an intricate dance) but unless I get a windfall I won't have the resources to dedicate myself. Someday when I'm half-competent I will start challenging you for the thrill of a match.

Who else do you know there?. Who was the pair of dudes sparring with you early in the evening when I arrived?

Kage's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is powered up not weaken! You can now check whether it hits before doing the follow up /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif then combo. Previously, opponents just immediately get ready for a counter attack after guarding but now, they have to worry about the follow up /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.

    So you are called Peter.

I didn't get to this level overnight too. I was losing like $50(like now set to 2 rounds) a night to the veterans 4-5 years ago when the first VF4(before evo) came out in bugis. I was practically losing every games for the first 5 months!

I know 90% of the people playing VF. I know the 2 guys sparring with me too. The Leifei guy(Louis) is one of the best VF players there. He really made an effort to learn ALL of Leifei's moves and do proper defensive techniques.

It's okay. People call me "Farp" in public. You can imagine how that sounds like. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Anyway I look forward to spamming credits when I get back. I play Pai and Aoi btw.

I'd kinda like to play Leifei but it'll hurt my brain.

    Edit:

Lol I read this in a webcomic recently:
"Maturity is knowing you were an idiot in the past. Wisdom is knowing you'll be an idiot in the future. And common sense is trying not to be an idiot now."

    Too similar. Haha.

Anyway to be clear I main Aoi and picked up Pai on a whim.
