Calling All Singapore Players!!!

Was at Jurong Point's Star Factory yesterday, there were 2 evo machines, 1 credit and best of 5. No vf.Net though.

Will be going down to Bugis tonight to check out the machines.

 

Bugis Junction Virtualand: 3sets.. ;P
Suntec City Star Factory: 2 sets
Jurong Point Star Factory: 2 sets
Century Square Fun Factory: 2 sets
Sun Plaza: 1 set

Settings should all be at 1 token per play
best of 5 rounds
45sec per round.

Anyone spot anywhere not to this setting pls inform me. Gonna flame them real hard..

One more thing, told by someone our machines are at ver A not B...issit true?

It will be difficult to get people to play in the arcade without the card system. The hardcore Vf people will just play at home with the console version.....

 

I saw Akira's yoho comboes doing so much more damage compared to the home version(b). Pretty sure it's A.

Ok, VF4 is about practising your skills. Console means more free practices. Arcade is only there if you want to meet up once in a while.

Zyeith: depends really... since my main is yoshi, it gets boring really fast since he's really overpowered. tho i lose against team last stage boss, i still feel the game balance SUCKS! look at taki! even kurt and reihart are going on to the VF scene. kurt mainly playing on console. reiny playing at CS. maybe i play both, but VF is far better for yomi training. i'm suddenly using ALL of yoshi's mixups after just playing an hr of VF

Rulakir: dont worry, the only time i've tried evo was once. that was a couple of months back at yishun. every character was so weird. lucky shun wasn't. oh well, i' m sticking with aoi tho. gotta love reversals... still dunno how to prevent so many mCs from lau -_-

 

a_L: I do agree with you on the part about playing evo for 1hr then back to sc you play way better. Its like trying to solve a word puzzle for hours but cant get it...but switch to math abit then back and you'll see the answer there. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Sounds good. I'll try to make it Sunday, but probably wouldn't be able to play more than an hour or two.

I checked Bugis out yesterday and played a little bit on the middle machine.

Pros:
- Three machines
- All Versus City, sweet
- Stage select
- 50 cents per play, 3 rounds

Cons:
- Monitors are still low rez
- The machine in the middle has a flickering monitor
- The sticks are functional, but not great
- Sound is so low compared to DOA2

 

Give me a tentative time when you guys wanna meet please. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Hey, I thought that machine next to DOA was the problematic one ? Lousy color, no sound etc etc...

Might go down to Jurong Point tonight to have a look see. a_L, no worries dude... Lau is actually pretty easy to beat once you figure out that I actually play him pretty stereotypically. Must see how kiat looks like Botak... hehehehe.... /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

 

Man, the jurong point machines really have poor controls. Rulakir, remember not to play on the 1st player side of the machine closer to the entrance, the g button's spoiled -_-;; . Best side is 1st player side further away from the entrance.

 

Morp: Confirmed arcade has verB too..just that its too hard to get and cost a bomb..about US$4k for the disc and some other neccessary equipments needed to run that disc... /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Ice9, Rulkir, WYRD: Will get the machines fixed in no time! Sorry for the lousy quality. The controls and volume will be replaced and adjusted first followed by the monitors as thats more complicated.. Controls and volume expect to be fixed before Sat. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif
