it's all good christine...appreciated by someone like myself!

and yeah, in VF, it's okizeme too..but ours works differently.

Ultimately, that's what 'gets' me abt TK5...it's really abt spacing, wait...then punish the whiff...depending on who u are using...taking initiative is almost suicide!
Makes it a slower pace game at times, imo~

All of us has such gay fighting style.

I turtle whole day and wait for whiff and do:
    EWGF-> [4][6]+lp,rp,lp ->[DF[3]+rk,rk.

Retarded combo, even more retarded damage(near half bar).

Zhifeng's Ti Ko Pek Wang even more gay, whole day wait for rising kicks and spam this same move again and again.

However, we still had fun. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Then this pefect EWGF HeiHachi with a rank of Vituaso and a 95%+ winning percentage came to kill us all. His machine was empty shortly.

I seriously want to organise a Tekken session at my place since I stay at Bishan now but I'm too busy with work.

    Did I mention I did evade [6]+lp+lk, [3]+lp+lk when I whiff my EWFG? >.<

    Hm.....

I want to join your Tekken session but think we need to ask Tekken players along in order to learn something.

    I just love Wang.
    [2]1+2 , [9_]3 , [4]2 , 1 , [4]2 , 1 , [6]1+2.

    Ultimate combo:

    1+2+3+4 , [2]4 , 1 , [4]2 , 1 , [4]2 , 1 , [6]1+2

hahaha, its funny that so many people are complaining about turtlers. hehe, i remember reading this type of conversation during TTT times. guess after years of tekken evolution, there arent still a fix to this. (they tried to do that with tekken 4, but then people [including myself] starts to complain about "strategic spacing" is over) actually, thats why i like about TTT because you can tag out and slide or ram others. but of course, i didnt know wavedash then. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

actually, just like what shiki mentioned, you can keep yourself afar and go for ultimate tackle or even run into slide. for devil jin, the best is to wave dash in and do a lightning hellsweep or while standing mixup. it always works on turtlers for me. (dont forget to try to use more half or full circular attacks as it works better in tekken 5) and dont forget guys about sabaki moves, and make 22,44,33,66 in order to close in. actually in vf, turtlers are still around but i guess since there are more 11,33 movements at your disposal so that makes a difference. but believe it or not, similar strategies do apply!

dont forget, when you dash in, in case you want to block immediately, the first attack can always be blocked with joystick at neutral. it does make a difference in case you are slow at pulling 4 and it ended up to be a 4,4 backdash and you ended up got launched by a delayed attack.

but yeah, heihachi is a bitch. but considering his hell axel does not do just frames now. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

hey shiki, for heihachi hell axel -> TGF -> EWGF or other varieties, does the hell axel need to be counter? i cant get the jab to connect after TGF.....

damn you Fred, you are more sick than Shundi... at least he didnt mention about staring at Hei's butt in Lee's ending..... /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif

i do look forward of playing Wang and see his ending though... damn, heihachi's ending is just too gay..... now tekken 6 we'll have Jin and others coming back to earth as aliens..... Namco is gay......

actually one good thing that i like about Namco are the throws. they are quite creative comparing to VF. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

    no ah
just when i thought they couldn't possible give hei a worst costume than the pair of diapers (hang ur head in shame heihachi!)....namco proved me wrong once again.

Regardless, I find TK5 endings way better than Itakagi's overhyped pos.

At least TK5 endings don't pretend to be cool

    Re: SGP VF

Hee - actually they overdid the anti-turtle thing in T4...meaning you could basically pick someone relatively fast and RP, LP them to death. >_< It's possible to take initiative and pitbull with certain characters in T5...but have to know when to start and stop heh.

Sorry hananokeiji, I don't really use Mishimas...cus I suck at getting anything resembling a WGF out...unless I'm on the 2nd player side haha. I'm more of a char bor player for some reason - not consciously though heh. Just that I pick up their styles easier.

And gayness is the reason I love Tekken =D. I love the screwball endings and the screwball characters with pieces of wood, kangaroos and bears (oh my!).

Wang's ending *sniff* can cry...*sniff* Oh...try his Waning Moon throw. I *think* it's unbreakable and leaves the opponent back turned for some evil setups. He's an evil little old man. And did I mention he's dirty (again?) Just challenge a Nina with him and see what happens...

Hmm...so Jin and company comes back in T6 as aliens and go find Paul since he's waiting to beat up aliens in his little shack...

Hi All, I just got a Pm from Kenneth and this is the contents.

'Danny, dun you think its a bit too much to broadcast to everyone that i owe u $$ the last time....i mean i mean...its between you and me. Its something personal you know???? I have been keeping quiet about it but its just too much... '

To which this is what I replied:

'Don't you think you are overboard too? When you borrowed from me how long did you take to return??? You disappeared without telling both me and Jared, how do we fucking feel? You ask for help for a fucking job and I forget the past and gave you a job. You fucking dun turn up to work and we call you so many fucking times and you refused to answer. And where the fuck were you??? Playing at Bugis.

I made an effort to forget the past, let you come my house to play and teach you new stuff, lend you books on VF. In the end this is the way you fucking repay me. You fucking piss me off man. I have to answer to my Boss to why you quit after working a few days. Were you ever really sorry when you say so???

Yup, I told Zhifeng and Andy about it. I told them don't lend you money cos your name stink. Why don't you ever think why they believe me so easily? You think I don't tell anyone they don't know you are like that?? What about all the time Jared go down Bugis and look for you and ask everyone where the fuck you r?

    Fuck off you selfish prick.'

Anyway sorry to Jared and Andy for sort of bringing them into the picture. Just want to tell Kenneth, if you are not happy, fuck off.

    Atriums offer

    Hallo

I checked it out. The offer is over, it was only for 5 days during school holidays, that they had the top up $20 get $20 free.

So back to bugis for a while. The Virtouso Heihachi is SG's strongest player (forgot name liow). Very deadly in the TTT days as i understand it, and what i saw of his play in TTT, shows he's on a different level.

I am slowing down work somewhat, less OT, so I'll be practicing more. What days you all normally head down nowadays ? Fri/Sat ?

If possible, I hope we can organizing console session, coz I really need to work on defensive reflex, esp. TE's. i eat so much, like candy /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

That Virtuoso Heihachi is damn good, but I wish he'd stop reverting to 2,2,1+2 every time he's about to lose.

Oh yeah--I play Paul!!! Easiest to play with, a bit like Jeffry. High risk, somewhat high return. Too bad he's a mid- to low-tier character. Maybe I'll also learn Heihachi.

Still in Indonesia, back on Thursday guys.

    Hm.....

Bugis these days are quiet. No much people. So boring. Was playing Wang today. Manage a 10 win streak against the average players. Sorry I need to ask something. Throughout the 10 games, I just maintain my distance and wait for opponent's moves to miss. Then I do a 'sort of confirm' floater and then my deadly wang's combos. Oh ya and I abuse wang's low kicks too. I think those playing with me must be scolding "Kan ni na bei .....) I dont want to be caught in the situation of having a chair landing on my head when I play. Give me some comments.

Plus: I am feeling very cheap and scrabby now.

    Re: Atriums offer

Heh, Heihachi Virtuoso is probably Jimmy aka Reijimken. One of the best players around if not the best. He also has a Virtuoso Feng and Yoshimitsu somewhere.

Wang is supposed to be cheap and scrubby wahahah =P. There's a 5th dan Wang (card name Brutal Enemy) around...try to watch him if you can. He's starting to flow with him with all the mix-ups and all.

But seriously, we all start out scrubby like at first...to get the feel of the character and stuff. And is it really your fault if people keep falling for the same thing =P?

I guess in the end it depends on what the person is playing for. For fun with taking absurd risks or for the kill with a super safe game?

Some cool moves with Wang: if you wanna be flashy (not necessarily effective hee) try out his parry (high and mid only) thingy - 4+LP. On parry, hit either LP, RP, LK or RK for various follow ups. I'm not a Wang user but I've been trashed enough times by him to know a few of his moves *sniff*

Got no time to go arcades these days (ahhh...the joy of being a Responsible Working Adult...ptui!). But I usually try to pop down on Fridays around 7+ to 8+. So come over and say hi if you catch me around =) Fridays are usually the peak days where all the regular players go down.

    Re: Atriums offer

    Hm.....

Oh, I saw his virtuoso Heihachi and Yoshimitsu. His Yoshimitsu is the most impressive one I seen so far, over 90% winning percentage. His Heihachi 600 plus wins and 59 losses.
I do not deny that he is a very good player. But the other day I saw him playing with this 5th dan guy (nickname Time....To....Die!) Although he win 9 out of 10 matches, quite a few wins were those "borderline wins - something like almost lose one"

    Re: Atriums offer

We must train hard hard then we can beat him.

Anyway, just incase you guys dunno, low attacks parry is done by jus tapping [3]. The window is rather large. I kinda hold it early beform the low attack hits.

Anyone knows if 'Chicken' (reversal reversal) is in T5? Was trying whole night yesterday but could pull off one. Is there a change in commands?

    Shiki Member

    Re: Atriums offer

Chickening still exists with the same commands. In fact, the window for it seems bigger. There's no more announcer gleefully announcing "Cheeekeen!" when you pull it off though =|

In terms of knowledge and technique, "Time to Die" dude is not on par (not dissing him) with Reijimken. It's just that Nina is that strong of a character when played the conventional way.

I am up for any gathering. I can offer my room. But my home is quite inconvenient for traveling for the other guys and my room can only accommodate up to max 4 people. Too much stuff inside. If you guys feel that it is inconvenient, then maybe someone else can organize something at his home.

Well... for those of you who are interested in doing stuff other than going to the arcade on weekends (or have to periodically appease our other half...), the International Film Festival is up, so do have a look.

    International Film Festival

Highly recommended are the Japanese Animes. (Yes yes, I know I'm an anime crazy fella....) This would probably be the only chance we get to see it on the big screen, so do have a look. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Offhand, does anyone wanna have make a forray into JB and see if you wanna get any PS2 items ? Its literally half priced over there. Let me know. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
