If they're at the kyus, they only need to gain a hundred more "experience" points to advance in rank, until they get to sho dan which requires them to win against a same dan opponent a specific amount of times to advance in rank. Lose too many times against the same rank oppponent(s) and you drop to one rank below your previous.

 

Helo there...regarding that sarah and akira thrashing out today...it was Morpheous and me respectively...hahaa yar we had a hard time trying to level up our ranking...Sarah was definitely the better player...I was struggling all the way...guess I really lousy...compared with the rest of the more "pro" players...as Wyrd said...u just need to gain experience points initially thereafter like what he describe...Wyrd so when u going down again...i went down today after my Sunday class at Orchard...hehee..guess I wont be going down sooner as I spent a lot today...just for the ranking...hahaa...nice playing with Danny,alucard and the rest as well...they are the pros... /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hi..

Just wondering...So there are 2 pairs(4 sets) of VS machines with card-readers in Bugis now? All ver.B?
And is this card thing a must in order to play on the machines with the card slots?

You do not need a card to play on the machines.

Theres 2 Versus City Cabinets with that card reader now. 1 cabinet has got 2 sides(2 card readers).

No its not a must to use the card when playing that machine. However you might wana play on the other machines if you're not using the card as the card readers machine cost $1 to start and $0.50 to continue. Unless you'll be continuing, its not worth it.

I seem to see much more NEW ranks when viewing the kakuto shinseiki vids.
Some ranks never heard or seen b4 like Qiang(2) Zhe(3) or Shou(3) Jiang(4)

Maybe i'll have to wait to find out the all new hierachy ranking thing

 

Something for fellow Huang FeiHong fanatics.
If you wanna customise your Lei-Fei's nickname to Huang Feihong in CHINESE words(it looks much cooler in chinese words than spelling out in english..Huang FeiHong)

Simply go to quest mode,edit name
Select Kanji(Han Zi)
For the (huang) character..select hiragana (o),which is the 5th charcter from the top row.You'll come to a screen full of chinese words.Now select the chinese kanji word (huang) which is the last word on the Top Row.

Now for the word (Fei)
Select the hiragana (hi) which is the 7th character from the top row.Again you'll enter a screen filled with Kanji.Select the Kanji which is the 7th character from the 2nd row.

Now for the last word(Hong)
Select the hiraga(ko) which is the 5th character from the 2nd row of hiraganas.
Again you'll enter a screen filled with kanji.Select the 7th character on the 13th row from the top.

And there you go.Huang Fei-Hong's name in chinese!!!

Seriously, Lei Fei's potential is tremendous in evo.

I tried vanessa. Her moves r really "bu liu qin"(no mercy 1). Worth playing also.

Hope to go down to bugis someday. Went down the other day, the game quite ex to play in the arcade. I prefer much prefer the comfort of Genie's sofa.

Yah lor, if you want to name your Lei Fei as Huang Fei Hong, make sure he really ‘bai zhan bai sheng’. Fei Hong is supposed to be invincible one. Just kidding.

Dat’s one of the reasons why I dun wan to buy the card lah. People buy card to rank up, to keep track of winning percentage, if I buy, it will only keep track of my losing percentage, really 'baiseh' /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif.

I got some free time the last 2 days, so I went down to bugis during lunchtime but 'bo lang' leh. Except for a few ‘potential Vfers’, no gao shou around. Sigh, want to get my butt kicked also so difficult /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif. Anyway I was there only for about 45 mins or so. Played a couple of games, then zhao liao. Maybe wrong timing.

With Zyeith from Star Factory working so hard to bring the VF scene back to life here at bugis, I think the manager at Yishun Funland must be swatting flies off his VF cabinet now.

Aiyah, nowadays bosses only appreciate $$$. If you can bring in lots of $ to your company, then you will be appreciated, otherwise you can flush all that loyalty and hard work crap down the toilet.

But Zyeith, like you what your signature says, if you really use your heart to do whatever you are doing, chances are you will succeed, eventually.
