isn tapping one jump?
or holding to up jump?

most likely i will end up with jump if i try tapping.

 

You must press either kick or punch together with up/the diagonal directions to jump. You probably accidentally did that.

if i press the direction with punch, it will come out as a move....

how do i jus do a simple jump or foward jump?
up or diagonal up right?

then how about evade?

 

to jump
u press

either ,, +p or k. u must hold on to both the direction and the button

ot evade
simply time urself to tap either or when a semi circular attack or a linear attack is abt to come in contact with u.

bear in mind..some moves can be dodged in either directions..others in both directions~

The VF evo machine with card reader is down at Bugis now. Hope that reader wont pose much prob... /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

 

now we have a new problem.

it's called

'coin slots'

I have been informed that outta the 4 evo vfer b cabinets (one per side mah)...3 of the has a high % of failing us when we need it the most (esp in the case of us wanting to continue..but the coin slots will just sit there n not do its job...causing us to miss the 9 secs we are given to continue..thus, some of us had to pay 1 dollar to continue instead of 50cents~)

Could u plz look into that?

Hmm... one thing of note when I went down on Friday night. A lot of new faces I've never seen fiddling around with the game totally had no idea that the game was $1 to start, and $0.50 to continue.

Anyway to rectify the situation ? I mean, maybe make it more noticeable to people ? And there's now 2 sets of machine with the card reader too !! *drools* /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Thing is, why is it when we don't play, e.g go makan, walk walk, etc etc, all these people can suddenly appear one ? /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif

 

Kinda new...yet not so new to VF.Played VF4...stopped to play Tekken 4.Then Stopped Tekken 4 to play SC2...Now picking up VF 4:Evo.

Just a question about the ranking...i saw 2 great vf players(Sarah vs Akira) duking it out today.Are they from here?Got scared man.I was shivering..didn't dare challenge..after buying the card i told the guy i bought it from "eh i think better practice somemore at home ah...wait siah suay...0 wins 1000 losses"

Read thru all 34 pages of posts(when i should be studying for exams)...ah..eyes pain.Will meet up with you guys after exams.

Edit:Oh...i forgot...i asked the question halfway and forgot...About the ranking system...how does it work? and what are the ranks..paiseh..newbie question.And i thought i saw the Sarah Player lose but still he got to the "rank increasing determination match"...i'm not sure..i think he lost..then challenged again and i saw the "kateba lv up" thingy(means if you win..rank up).

Sorry to sound newbie..but is it that easy to rise in rank?Just gotta keep beating opponents?Won't losing to an opponent lower than your rank reduce your rank too?
