Yes I guess it is a machine setting that prevents the cards from being left in the slot.

The Japanese error message says something like:
"The card cannot be used any more for today."

 

Btw, there's one more machine with the card system in SG, its at suntec city.

Coin settings are the same as Bugis. As for the game settings, i did send a memo for them to adjust it to the same as Bugis. Can anyone verify if its correct? Wont be going to Suntec for a while, have some matters at Century Square.

Yup CS has got evo too but not the card reader one tho.. as for whether or not amk will have one, i cant advise as we currently do not have an arcade there...

after getting my ass handed to me in JP (i think its funny) for just trying the machine, i thought i gave myself sometime to read strats before playing again. now i learn they are card machines

this is just too plain sweet. btw, where do you buy those cards? havent seen them myself. but does all the machines have it? and Z-man, you're working too hard =P

Hmm... Just wondering, are the machines at Jurong Point fixed ? I had a look see 2 days or so back, and the sticks are just plain awful on both machines.... Can't imagine anyone actually playing Versus.... *shakes his head in disbelief*

I think you need to fix the evolution machine at bugis.

The sound system is on and off at times.
The coin slot of the 2nd player side is a bit faulty. Made me use 2 credits instead of 1 credits for a few times liao.

Plus: How come we never see u around? Been there for the past 5 days with Danny but never see any staff interested in Evolution lay.

As for Jurong Point, I basically give up on both the arcades there... /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif Its pretty sad... You'd notice that arcades which actually HAVE VF machines aren't fixed/maintained 85% of the time. As a consumer, its pretty demoralising to find that the machine doesn't work. Granted that yeah, its only S$0.50, but then, the phobia would develop that other machines wouldn't work as well.... No sane person would want to throw his money down the drain playing something that doesn't work. Its like the service industry... you screw up, I'm gonna tell all my friends about you, and bring their business elsewhere.

I actually saw a coupla kids who seemed to know what they were doing fiddling around with the game, but ended up frustrated because the buttons were down. There goes another 2 potential VFers... /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

There's this impression that they prefer to service and maintain the more popular machines, since its technically more viable in comparison to maintaining machines that aren't as frequently played. I mean, I don't see KOF machines having problems which are outstanding for such a long time.... /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif

But then again, KOF machines consists of a larger piece of the entertainment pie... /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif What can I say ? /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

 

I think what Zhifeng means is that the second player coin slot has trouble taking in coins...you insert, the machine rejects it, and you have to try again.

If you fail to insert a coin two or three times, that's usually enough time for the "Continue" countdown to finish...meaning you'd need two coins to start again. It got to the point where people would walk over and insert their coin on the first player side.

It got one Japanese Pai player so frustrated he started banging the machine, heh heh...

As for the sound, I think it's because the volume is up too loud. Sorry Zyeith, as we asked you to turn up the volume...but can we turn it back down? Sound that is on-and-off is just waaaay too annoying.


BTW, I don't know if this is sensitivie information, but how are the Evo machines doing so far in Singapore? Revenue comparable to other games? What about the card machines in Bugis/Suntec?


Rulakir...have you tried asking the arcade manager to fix the controls? At Yishun there were a couple times when the sticks/buttons were broken, but nobody would ask management to fix them, and they continued to stay broken. Try asking...you'd be surprised. Zyeith can't be everywhere at once.
