It's true. That's what I've realised. If i lose to noob spammers then I'm not as good as I thought I was. So now I'm going to bust my ass becoming better than ever. I just wanted to start off by admitting I've been a sore loser. Take it easy though. It's the biggest attack at my pride admitting defeat, but It must happen so I learn.

Could be because of that huge damage combo of yours. I played you tonight and I didn't pull, but man did I ever want to.

Won't knock you for being honest. I know it's frustrating if you really care about your rank. I did for a quick hot minute then I said to myself. You know what? Just play, there's some players with high rank who sure as hel don't play like they belong there. This like anything has padding players. They come in the form of dodgers and collaborators who are looking for a title more than anything.

Americans are generally full of bullshit pride especially. It's the politician in all of us coming out. GW is in office because we see ourselves in him.

Huh? Granted I think what I wrote is true, it's not like it's something that someone else couldn't think of. Is this kind of like one of those "OH SHIT I'M A GENIUS, NOONE ELSE THINKS LIKE ME, SO HE MUST HAVE READ EVERY POST I'VE EVER DONE and INFRINGED!" Posts?

I didn't think it was either.

Wow! Relax. Jerky's cool. He wrote it a some time back in a hotly-debated thread and I think it was quoted in someone else's sig for a while. It was genuinely interesting (to me) to see it used again and Jerky was making light of it. Note use of winking emoticon.

HAROcaust, 7th Dan GOH player who can't even block. His win percentage is really high too which is suspicious, he's quit on me twice /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

I don't see anything bad about disconnecting on another people. I like to deny people the pleasure of ranking up. Life isn't supposed to be fair after all.

The best way to deny someone a rank up is to beat them. But I guess you suck too much to that. Instead of getting better at the game you go the easy way out and pull.

    So lame.

I hope you're not the type that cries fowl everytime someone disconnects because that's even lamer.

I laugh at you guys. I'm peeved a little bit because it's such a waste of time to play a sore loser.

But oh well. I'm sure you're content at being where you are (skillwise). At least you're playing the game, good riddance.

The problem isn't the ranking points. It's just that it's a complete waste of time for both parties if you don't bother finishing the match.

It's not like disconnects are innately bad. I had one good friend of mine pull on me once cause he had been playing too long and was about to be late for work.

But, if you're gonna pull, and then log right back on, then why are you even playing in the first place? And you can't even say you're preventing someone from ranking, because if they beat you, chances are good they'll just go beat someone else and still get a win. Pulling only avoids loss of rank, because someone who's winning has proved they're actually good, and can just keep playing.

So going by your logic Sorias, it's sort of okay to quit midway because the better fighter will always move up in rank anyway by fighting someone else. Quitters, in theory, are just denying themselves their true skills and attributes which has no real bearing on anyone other than themselves. That itself is no real big loss.

The way I see it, quitting and denying people rank-ups eventually leads to both parties getting what they really want. Right?

Well to some people rank means a WHOLE lot to them. I don't see why, it's not like online although a lot better than expected, is very precise. Take: TheNameLess1 who's an 8th Dan. I beat him 3 times so far and EVERYTIME he's pulled.

Me I've been all the way up to like 10th dan and been demoted all the way back to 6th because I try new characters all the time.

Must say though it puts a smile on my face to get owned playing Brad, or El Blaze just to come back playing against the same people with Jeff and mopping the floor with them.
