Like I said to you online, its not the fact you were low punching. that in itself is not a problem. its the fact that you feel the need to set up EVERY COMBO with it. Sure maybe its my inability to adapt and change it up, or my poor defense....but you were just too much. Oh, and I never quit... we played two matches and that was enough for me thanks.

Also I notice you do it even more when you start losing...

Right...my point is--if you aren't able to get past a certain tactic---then you are limited. Interesting games are played when you are able to get around those tactics and FORCE the other player to do something different. That's when mind games/yomi come into play---and its also when the games become a lot more fun! But if you sit back and say "well I lost because the other person wasn't playing correctly" then you don't really gain anything.

Dude, if you play with a character with a 2Pkiller you should be happy to play somebody who 2P's too much... but I do understand.
I use to have a problem with 2P, I use to think it was too strong, specially online. That was until I started playing Lau <3/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif<3 but playing with a character like Brad, who doesn't have a fast and effective 2Pkiller I have to work a little harder to exploit my opponent's predictable use of 2P.
At very small disadvantage you can backdash(BD) or crouch backdash(CBD) and when they whiff 2P you can hit them with a fast mid. At medium disadvantage it's best to evade or block and take your advantage OR just use your 2P killer. At what level of disadvantage can you use 8P+K? I don't know, this is something that you're going to have to test for yourself.

I use to be a 2P hater, even a DMP+K hater but I learned that this game isn't that much different than any other fighter out there (like SF) where there are no "cheap" moves. Everything that's in this game CAN be countered and if you keep falling for a move then it's YOUR fault. It's never your opponent's fault for using a move or a style of play that works for him/her.

I had to learn the hard way that blaming my opponent for doing what I continuously fall for was not helping me improve my game.

That said, there are playstyles that I can not stand fighting against, not because I can't win but because they are highly annoying. For example: Vanessa's backwalking /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif style /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbs_down.gif Can I beat it? Sure. Do I want to chase a down a character that walks really fast all around the ring all day? No.

I was playing as brad at the time

When did I say you werent playing "correctly" as you put it?, I simply dont enjoy how you play and wont be joining your games in the future. Case closed.

Basically its a bad habit of mine to do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (Evade PK) ,instead of fuzzying or just simply evading. This is what I did basically everytime he /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif me

IMO avoiding someone b/c you can't deal with their tactics is taking the easy way out and just limiting yourself...granted there are certain people who will always be better than you b/c they have more time on their hands to learn the game or they've played the game longer than you but honestly, complaining ain't gonna help you become a better player just like Tony said. What happens when someone else comes along and does the same tactic? How will you deal with it then? What if that match just happens to be a ranked match and you lost? Would you think, "Damnit, if I hadn't avoided that one guy and learned how to adjust to this same tactic, it would've helped me ALOT in this match and the outcome would've been different!" I think some people just hate to lose period. Their ego gets in the way and instead of saying, "Man how can I get passed that tactic? I need to fight him again and try to adjust!" they instead say, "OMG what a noob! Your style sucks! I won't ever fight you again!" Meh, oh wells..,

Now if you were playing your Brad at the time good luck and give me a tip on how to deal with low punch spam with him cause other than evade p+k counter spam i have no idea. Crouchbackdash > elbow? Sorry but i've been trying to make Brad my 3rd since VF4evo and i find him SO underpar dealing with low punch compared to vane and birdbrains that i keep getting frustrated and dropping him - srsly i have better luck with my 2 move <s>BLAAARGHT</s> jeffry than i do with my brad -- his 2 new jumping attacks are going to be SO welcomed in VF5R

Hold on, don't close it yet. I'm curious on how you think VF players should play. You're saying that you don't like the way he plays, so what kind of strategy is the best for your approval? I simply don't understand your train of thought.

I'm sure he has, but I imagine he took it on the chin and learn't to overcome it rather then throw a tantrum and refuse to play said player...

Sadly its how it is in fighting games, your always going to come across tactics, strategies & play styles that can be deemed 'cheap' or that you just struggle to play against. your never going to get better if you don't try to adapt to it.
