Ive got 2 subjects, Brisal and DeathSushi. Brisal can single handedly put me on a win string. DMPK, dbl lp, grizzly, low k get me so ryled up at times that I catch fire! We do have a rivalry and I enjoy it. On the other hand, I have nothing against Sushi, I play him whenever I see him but I have an awful connection with him too. I can Mc stagger him and the joystick doesnt come up. In fact I never have the advantage, cant dodge, cant block in time. But thats what hes got and we cant change it.
I systematicaly check out everybody, from time to time. Some people that I had the worst connections with are now the best.

 

I can't spam moves or else I'll just get bored. If my opponent spams moves I get bored. A win is a win, but fun is fun. Of course what's fun is all opinion. Shit I may pull on you if I'm beating
you if you're boring me to death.

 

What the hell happened to Shout box tourney?

 

Towards the end there, there was a startling decrease in
participation. Couple the fact that I started playing SCIV
and viola it ended. After playing VF5395 today though I
realized that winning once in a while in VF is way more
fulfilling that winning often in SCIV. If people were up for
it I'd push it again. It's not like I'M needed to run Shoutbox
it practically ran itself.

hey i said that. and i also said my counter was ppp, ppp, ppp, lol. seriously tho, in player i bait u to do dmpk, and still cant escape the damn thing, lol.
btw, as i've gotten better and better, cordona doesnt spam against me.
as a rule of thumb, against elites i spam lose.

 

Sorry, this is one of my little pet peeves. Deathsushi has a fine connection, you have a fine connection. When there's lag its an issue of two peoples connectivity with one another, both are equally at fault (actually no one is at fault but you guys know what i mean). This it always irritates me when someone claims the other player has lag. i'm nitpicking here. On the other hand, King of Carnage does have a minor complaint of Deathsushi is continually joining his matches with obvious lag, then its okay to be frustrated with an opponent.

 

Bad Games to:

Unico: He is not one of the Best Brads at all, despite his 78% win percentage and he's halfway up masters bar (for god's sake some 10th dan please come along and beat him, he doesn't deserve to break the master plateau).

And a resound bad games to:

ME. I lost to Unico straight up with his ridiculous spam routine in an exceptionally close 5 rounder. One in which i used nearly every trick i had in my book and couldn't overcome his 3 moves. Then he joined again and i completely DOMINATED him in a 3 round whitewash doing only dmp+k and mix ups off of it. he had no idea what to do, he repeatedly got devoured by delayed stagger jab kick. Failed evade into for 2 rds maybe would have 3 if i didnt start g canceling into a throw.

 

SMB, regarding Unico: You experienced what happens when you don't get through the spamming offense, and then what happens when you DO get through the spamming offense. He doesn't have a lot of defense. His offense is crazy only because no one ever expects the stuff he does. I think he stumbled upon something with Brad that's not good, but somehow effective, and it takes a way better player than he is to figure it out and beat it.

I suspect that a Unico-style Brad is to us what a Lei masher is to noobs: an obstacle to overcome only by improving. How I'm supposed to expect 4 standing sweeps in a row is beyond me... He's not simply a masher though because he seems to have a decent idea of when to switch off the spam and play normally. Plus he knows high damage stuff for when he does float you or stagger you.

I think I only defend him because he upsets me so much when I get hit by the stuff, and I blame myself whenever I fall for it. When you fall for it I blame you! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

At least he doesn't scream into the mic or send stupid messages like some others mentioned in this thread.

If I run across him I'll save the replays and post them, win or lose, and we can pick his game apart for all to see and comment.

Anyway, I won't say any game I had with him was bad, but he's one of those people that seems to 'play mad' if you follow my meaning. Couple that with no variety and you have a relatively high-ranked player that feels like a scrub when you play him. There are a few players who seem like this in my mind... anyway, playing these angry scrubbish guys sucks cuz a lot of the time you have to dumb down your game to beat them, and then it ends up not being fun for anyone.

But to my recollection, I haven't got a nasty message from the guy, so he's ok in my book.

 

I haven't gotten any nasty messages from him, not even when i beat him abusing dmpk. I will say after beating him it ruined my game for the rest of the night, i was dmpk happy, and getting on my own nerves, lol. And irritated at the game. I have half a mind to pick up brad and practice that series for 10 mins then go win 78% of my matches with him...oh well. Hey Blahzie, bump up to 10th dan and take him down before he gets hunter. Don't want to see that travesty occur on our watch, haha.

Once you get use to his style. For example low sweep into dodge attack he becomes very easy.

to me the only people that deserve to get the Bad Games rep are players that join matches that have an obvious bad connection (1 or 0 bars)

I didnt know almost anything about frame date until I get black book. So you might be true. I'm sure I was using abare at that time too. And my policy was "All offnce is all deffence". /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

But now, I know some of frame date, so I changed my style. However, I do use abare, like...2P twice or more in a row with delay or something. Because I want to get advantage.

Anyway, I don't play VF5 much as before, so my style might be changed.


And what do you mean still playing "moral"?

 

Moral = Safe. Doing stuff that doesn't leave you at disadvantage etc.

 

learn to be patient playing against unico711 good defense can beat his style of play consisting 6p, 2k+g, 2p, his back walking. dmp+k. resist using 2p and replace it with a crouch dash fuzzy guard (remember 2p is special low) quick backdash-evade- forward dash g to defend his dmp+k and low sweeps. once he knows those tricks dont work he will back walk using brad. just be patient and stratregize destroying his strength which is his evade, 2p into 6p into 2p again and dmp+k. block 2p and punish with 66p with lei or if ur confident in reading him 8p+k+g. playing players like unico711 can actually help develop ur mind f##king game and yomi i think LOL

 

Yep back up to Hunter...some guy from Japan ranked me down... but getting back up isn't hard...I just have to play you, blahzie, or VF####.... btw I'm just joking . I rather be ranked low anyways. hard to get challenges when your higher than Master

Moldaiver!!!! Great. You've reached Defender AND you joined my match...ausgezeichtnet!! It was soooo awesome. If you beat me, I can't pull on you b/c i don't want to lose half my ranking bar, if i'm beating you, you'll just pull. Luckily, best case scenario, I beat you and you pulled. That really just made my night. Thank you sir, for sucking so bad and ruining the xbl experience for VF fans everywhere.

note: so if i pulled on this guy at the countdown screen that wouldn't have hurt my ranking bar? i read that on here once but wasn't willing to roll the dice on it on 15 seconds notice.
