I play ranked from time to time but I don't care about rank, I'm only in it for the ranked gameplay. Players fight so much harder when it isn't just a casual player match.
Anybody who wants to play some ranked matches, hit me up, I'm somewhere in the mid dans, it's either 4, 5 or 6.

Just to be clear: I'm talking about some hardcore "go for broke" rank matches.

I just played Darthminion and he pulled

I wish there was a way that he could be banned from VF online

coz he's just gonna keep doing it to other people.

 

The only person ever to pull the cable on me just before a match had concluded was jimman nin. So I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who hasn't come across a lot of disconnectors.

I've DEFINITELY had sets of player matches against people that were like fights to the death, I could just feel the intensity. One was against Fly Gamer's Eileen with my Goh for at least 20 matches and every one was almost too intense. Player matches can be crazy if you're playing someone you really want to beat.

I think you can if they get enough complaints, not avoids. I believe, if you get too many they shut off your XBL account.

 

Gotten a few games after a short hiatus. 'Ol Darthminion played me a few times, beat me a couple 'fore I figured his pattern out. He didn't pull on me but he did ask me how my sore head was. After I whooped his ass, I replied telling him it was just fine now /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif So far he has a tendency to switch fighters.

I'm gonna throw SandStorm85 under the proverbial bus just for saying he could kick my ass irl. I can't even classify him as an Aoi user based off his sorry performance.

New Addition Edit: Better put Templario IV on that list. He's beaten me pretty good in the past but just now I put a whuppin' on him and was beating him so bad in the 2nd round he yanked the cord on me. I mean brutalizing him, and I usually don't do Brutal but re-runs kill /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

 

The inevitable finally happened: I got pulled on.

It truly does suck to lose to some cheap b.s. and then when you finally get a rematch and you're killing that lame b.s. the p.o.s. disconnects =/
I don't get it, prob will never get it and even if I could understand, I prefer not to.

Hey, I got a wireless connection that acts up on more than one occasion. However, if I know the connections if straight (not constantly kicking me out /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif) and somehow things just magically slow down or I just get disconnected all the sudden than I'm usually pretty damn sure something's up.

Sometimes I think folks just go for an easy mark. I've had dudes come at me and wipe me out then they roll around using the same B.S. Now at the most the fourth go-around I've already got a nice little plan for it. Now I'm laying waste to some guy who doesn't try to change his tactics and that's where that so-called "magic" comes in.

Now granted I've been massacred QUITE a bit over the time I've played this game and it'll probably happen again before long. Best thing is to just try to learn from it and move on. Sheeeiiit, even when playing video games was my "life's work," I didn't make it THAT big a deal.

Now for the Jabroni example:
Templario IV - Pai user (currently) -> Started off with 4 to 5 string offense with 2P in between. You smack him a few times he'll use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. He knocks you down he backs and uses uh...Reverse double hit cartwheel, maybe low punch upon having it blocked. I tech rolled and got a low punch-spinning mid kick for my troubles

Offense wasn't much trouble to figure out but it took me three losses to finally get the timing for the counter-attacking salvo I had stored up for him. Knocked him out of his 4 (or 5) hit string with a sweep (I had Aoi), booted him around quite a bit with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, counter his attempt at /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and force-fed him some more fists. 2nd round was a repeat except more /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and reversals. He pulled in that round with about a 1/4 life left in his tank.

I'm done bragging, reality: fight was pointless I'm actually going to seek out those jabronis - I need to build up my "patience" some more.

 

whats with darthminion joins my game and pulls not once not twice, no not 3 times, but 4 times. r u serious someone gotta deport this dude to mexico so he can join the pullers club with templario.

 

I HATE playing him. He spams DM and gets diesel throws on me for the win. Its pretty frustrating when he wins.

Yeah he did the same thing to me. I am 8th Dan, Darthminion is 10th. I was beating his ass 2 1/2 rounds to nothing and pop goes the cable.

 

So if he kept pulling all his life it would be ????/0 win/loss ratio? Does he even know what life is?

 

I don't even play the guy anymore. He joins my session, I log off. Simple.

 

Yeah but when you log off before a fight starts, don't you lose all of your progress?

 

Does that mean you're a cable puller (also)? Not really the best I can put in, but still.
