That's a big negative right there good buddy. Japanese players will stomp on you, kick you, dance a jig, and all kinds of other stuff after the k.o. in the arcades or online. I ought to know, they do it to me all the time. They also really enjoy jumping out of the ring with you if they ring you out. I have no idea why.

I also enjoy doing this and you just made me realise that I have no idea why.

Same here. I enjoy jumping out from Shun's stage the most.

I do whatever I feel like doing and if it comes to question I tell the other person that I'm just staying loose. (not that I feel the need to justify anything)

Actually i avoid hitting people on the ground too, out of courtesy, although i do dance around with Lion after each round.

There is one exception: if, by chance, i end the round with the guaranteed light oki after an elbow rush/rib crush knee.

...i long for the day the game will bug out and finally give me that 4th /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif - i input it every time you know, just in case.

I can believe this. He stands out as one of the most annoying guys to fight on Live. I lost to him once yesterday, basically b/c he did backdash, diving cock punch w/Akira at least nine times in the match. If there is a more machi, wussy technique than this, I have yet to see it.

I say that when you fight him, do whatever you can to piss him off.

uhm. yeah. nothing focuses me like getting angry. anytime someone does something out of bounds after the round is over, it just means i'll become much more goal oriented for the rest of the fight. in the future i will pick them out just to /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif them again. stomps are rude, make me angry & increase the likelyhood that i will win now and in the future. i know it's arbitrary and stupid and i should bring that focus and intensity to everything all the time but i don't.

so please, by all means, stomp me after you win a round. the mutherfucker inside me who isn't playing games might just wake up for a minute.

Usually I backdash and practice 1 frame knee or DLC unless they piss me off. Then I do Oshu's ground punch ff ground punch followed bt ff ground punch.

The smallest thing such as this can be used in many ways as you just explained.
-Angering opponnet to lose concentration and advance towards you. Great for machi types to apply.
-Waking up the inner beast of the opponent to get a 110% game from them. This I love seeing, because the opponents creativity might just come forth leaving you saying, wtf?
-Getting 50/50 of the 2 above creating an even better game.
-Nothing happens and your left wondering how to create more visually distrubing ways to demean your downed oppponent to aquire the anger, so it will benefit your mindgame.

I say go forth and conjure up your best disturbing downed dance, attack, tea bagging etc. It's good to see people being creative and getting away from the ordinary. Who knows in the process of trying something new you might come across a new technique to appply to your game?

    Peace ^-^

    LOL..
really ,, with the xboxlive thing.. its only freinds that care about the etiquette because we all know there are a lot freakn jerks/trolls/f@ckheads in all online games.

really,, like i have said,, i never see anyone do this stuff in live sessions.. even now... so i wanna see this 'new found' post stomps when SoCal or anyone has some special guests. that is really where it matters.

    Rageless Cajun,,
I dont doubt ur input at all about the japanese gamers, but i think it depends on the relations u have with which gamers.. from the matches u see in tourneys and all 'famous' VF players, i doubt many of them do what u said with players that they know.. as we know,, they dont have to look at the players over there with their cabinet design,, i.e. xbox live... but its the live sessions and the 'groups' of players that have some form of eitiquette with eachother.

I don't do anything after winning a round unless it was extremely close (whoever gets the next hit type thing) in which case I finish off with a soccerball kick, as if to say "stay down".

Not disrespectful, just my way of saying "taking you down took a lot of effort".

Now I see what you are talking about, and I know it makes a difference when you are in the same room with someone but you got to trust me. Even on the latest 2 DVD Pre-Beat tribe set, I saw all kinds of after k.o. shenanigans and I am sure that plenty of those guys know each other. The major difference is that the Japanese players blow it off and don't take it personally. However, I will agree with you that maybe it simply isn't as widespread, or there could be some unspoken understandings about it, maybe.

Btw, you *have* to try and beat Shun with sober moves after the round ends to remove DPs.

Just reminding cause nobody seems to have mentioned it.

Perhaps that was why the PS3 didn't get the online version right away because of the lack of timing that would come because of the potential lag. I was in many situations where I quite literally was screwed up because of the lag in the game even if it was just a slight lag. I still feel I lose mainly because of my lack of online experience and skill compared to the others that play the game way more than me (I try to play the game as casually as I can without taking it too seriously). The lag does help to contribute some but it isn't the main reason why I lose and I think I heard Sony saying they wouldn't make the game online because of the lag the 360 version is experiencing now and it may be a smart move on their part. I am no scrub by no means nor am I an expert either but I would like to see the lag go away.

Personally I don't do any kicks or stomps after I win a round or a match, I think it's kinda disrespectful. And contrary to what someone else has said before, I find Japanese players on XBL to mostly follow this rule too.

The biggest fuckin crybaby you've met? You sound like the biggest fucking cry baby I've met. Calm down.
And I agree with some of you - hitting people when they are KO'd is disrespectful and achieves nothing but make you look like a jackass (much like the person that wrote this near-illegible rant).
