Some Bogus Akira with a bogus good record ranked 1st Dan. He was up around 80% win % so I thought, this will be a good test of skills. Through 3 quick rounds he threw about 100 2p's. Obviously this isn't a very effective offense, so I dominated and moved on with my life. He sends me a message saying

"Oh my god, I can't believe i just lost to a masher."

Preposterous. From a guy who throw over 50% of his moves as 2p, and quite frankly, the only player that would work against would be a noob masher. Pretty lame really.

 

Only by another 1st dan. Thus is the bliss of my suckage.

Well, I know after I get to 1st kyu I need to lose to a 1st Kyu.
We experimented with demotion (if you can tell) so far we've only
been demoted by a 1st dan. That's why we said fuck it,
we'd have to settle on 1st dan for our theme Too hard and have
to throw to many fights to stay a Kyu anyway.

 

A kyu can never demote a Dan. If you look at how the system works a 2nd-3rd dan should cause a loss of experience on a 1st dan ranked person and in theory cause a demotion IF the 1st dan has a very low experience bar. I am pretty sure it is not correct to say that only a 1st dan can be demoted by other 1st dans. Though I have not tested this, just going by the way the system works.

 

Which is why I'm grateful for my reversals, but then the guy/girl would probably say I just use one move (I got a lot of that back in the day). To each his/her own I guess.

 

BG's to OC Odysseus. Hate people that just jump online without knowing anything about the game then rant about it the whole match. Especially when they try to talk trash while failing utterly.

 

I used to get some amusement from listening to the rants as I lay the smackdown on them but after about 500 or so matches of listening to the same stuff it got old. Best to just cut the volume and wipe the floor with them so you can get on with the rest of your day. Hell, if you want you can post THEIR excuses on the "why I lost the fight" thread someone started quite some time ago.

 

I have to agree about IMASTUDMUFFIN, simple attack chains made him rather predictable, not always a bad thing, <ahem> no reason to complain about that. But then third round, him facing heavy defeat...guess what...DC. Then he had the cheek to blame a lag on my connection and became a tad abusive when I pointed out that my connection is good. Quitter.

 

Explains the spectacular record despite the lousy skillz.

 

I have to nominate SquiShaolin 420 for Bad Games last night. He's a Master level Wolf who basically employed the same EXACT two combos over and over, fight after fight, and when that failed kept running to the edge of the stage so he could ring me out. In fact he got away with that three times in order to get some of his wins. I didn't expect a Master having to resort to that kind of cheap tactics to defeat a demoted 6th dan so I kept falling for it. Most real Master class guys I normally play get out of their ways to avoid that kind of cheese and get a "clean" victory.
I'm guessing Wolf is not his main??

I don't know about "clean" vs "dirty" victories, but i can say that SquiShaolin 420 has been very cheesy everytime i'v ever played his wolf. dm p+k all fight long etc.... When I've played his monk he played a good well-rounded game, but his wolf is lame.

 

Damn when I played Squish all I did was KNEE HIM IN THE FACE.

Bad Games to every El Blaze I've played in the last week and a half. Yet to play one quality player.

Was there some sort of convention where all the El Blazers on line got together and decided "The only moves we should do is our evade attack followed by a running throw move.----maybe we can we can mix in a punch or a kick here or there, but lets really focus on spamming evade attack and running throw on the stagger--i mean, its tough to handle and even if the opponent can overcome it, at least they won't have any fun."

i saved a total of 20 replays of squishaolin 420 he is always baiting a move and if it gets guarded he dmpk u with is lei, kage and wolf.he even does it while advantage and always evade away from screen so i would use 9p+k and it would hit him, he tries another dmpk, and i repeat the same move until he stops and i throw him
