That and arcades [for USA at least] are dying... Games like this kill them... ah well... less money spent by me...

I think that your perspective is just but I also believe that you've been connecting to morons who don't know how to tweak their networking connections to squeeze the most juice out of them. [that and bad cables, modems, routers, etc.]

I VERY rarely [probably 1 in 150+] have had lag induced losses. or lag at all for that matter.

I normally play Akira and if you can play him online, that's one thing, but I play him with like 0-1% perfect lagless. An excellent advantage.

What some people may not realize is that if lag DOES set in, gigantic single hit monsters like Akira have a nasty advantage vs. string type characters. Although lag can slow both gamers down, Akira can do a TON more damage in less hits, therefore advantage to him and reading counters in slow-mo never hurt...

Let's have some fun with it guys. We've been wishing for a way to play our friends all this time and now we have it. Ranking is a lot of fun and can be addicting, but I can't help to see that people are taking it way out of context with the whole "bad games".

There are plenty of people online who we'd like to stay away from (present in every game you take online) and to this I say just play with friends if you're tired of 2p x 120. That way at least when encountered vs someone you know you understand (or not /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif ) why they did it.

Just lighten up fellas... be happy the Japanese don't get crystal clear connections with us otherwise every western player would be with a % less than 60% /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Alright you say ranked games can be fun and addictive, then you say just play with your friends... and there's a problem right there... you can't have both so just get rid of the Ranked section completely, or just keep the experience bar but lose the win/loss ratio (or atleast hide it from other players) so that they don't F'NG drop when they realize they're about to be beaten. Nice and simple... Don't know why the fuck the dev team have to be such idiots.

I didn't say you could have both.

Just pick one or the other. It's not that big a deal. Really. Ultimately is it gonna matter? When you go to an offline gathering are people gonna perform oral sex on you because of the nice 80% win rate you have online? No.

only bad games I can think of are just the spammers who use Jacky, Brad, Goh who got to high level Dans just using DM. I call it a bad game because half the time I feel bad for them, because it seems they have peeked simply because they refuse to think outside the box. I guess they figured "hey this move is good and it got me to X Dan, so I'll keep using it." But then they run into someone like me or other good players who can usually spot this terrible pattern and then punish them miserably for it thinking "ok he won't do that anymore!" Then turn around and play them again today, tomorrow, next week and they have not evolved. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif So it's not really a bad game, more of I feel bad for them because they created a crutch and now that crutch has stop their growth and prevents them from evolving.

that sounds like a familiar quote...

in any event, cats who complain about playing online need to just get off of xbl or beef up their connection if its slow... honestly, one has to face the facts that lag will be a problem for quite sometime, even if it is only a very small problem- its still there... vf5 is online after so many ppl prayed and hoped for it. now its here. don't like it? get off. simple as that. the scene will continue to grow on and offline. to those inexperienced in vf5, why not show 'em some pointers instead of posting them on the wall and saying they suck... there's so much we can do for those who just stepped in the game and are learning, lets not crush the scene with these witch-hunting posts... granted, the cable pullers thing i can understand, there are ppl who just wanna win and are sore losers, and frankly if one wants to d/c for the sake of a win, beit ranked or not, fine. i'll move on and strengthen my game. maybe im hitting home for some, or maybe im just rammblin', either way, i can't help that...

and finally: shaq fu for the genesis was dope... it had more characters. it was uber-broken though...

    Hey,

I actually had someone tell me " can you not use any low attacks, so that we can actually have a real bout "
    I was dumbfounded !!!

I played some Kage today. Rodnutz I think it was. Man this kage barely attacked he was a seriously bad advert for the game. I lost to him 4 times. So I'm now refusing to play the game online after that again.

    What a pity

Thanks for the "ranked matched guys" it's been fun.

haha yea sorry Jide that's me. I have not been through Kage's move list so my hesitation is mostly because I can't remember how to do something. I'm just being lazy and using what little I know about him from VF4. My bad I'll run through his move list today and try to come up with a flow chart that suits me. Once again my deepest apologies for making it a bad experience for you.

It is interesting though,, that you can pick up on peoples personilities just through their gameplays... there are VFDC people that are freaking fun to play (win or lose) and there are also some that are serious players where i seriously overthink crap,i.e. when i play Shang / Dissmaster ,, and make the game a great challenge /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif ...
then there are those freak'n guys, Konjou talks about ,, they stick to that same move (for me its been lei-fei / vanessa range attacks)... taht you can just tell ,, they are saying to themselves ' this guy cant take my routine range attack'..and in my case they are right /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

bad matches for are when I keep getting 'noobed' with these hyper Lei-fei's... OMG... its annoying...
But ,, since i'm not a big dodger,, it does help me practice my dodging..

    stink-stino

I actually just have problems with Goh players and Shun atm. (gg's I don't hate) Sometimes I give to much credit to the player and don't bother going for the traps I've picked up over the years with Jacky. (2kp, delay p crumple for instance)

I mean sometimes I have to remind myself that these people probably haven't seen what Jacky can do and I have to just play the way I play.

nuts clifford and el tigre verde are a couple people ive played earlier and all they did were low punches repeatedly and then throw you. irritated me so.

yeah I lost to el tigre verde's el blaze today and he did the exact same stuff to me, annoying as all hell. Not hating though, just annoying because I am not sure what to do against that. Defensive attacks and just plane evades seemed to work, but the 360 controller could not keep up due to the crappyness of it's design.

I would have to say any of the Akira or Fei players who do continuous rushdowns and only pause to throw a well timed low punch. Used to kill me at first but now I kill them. Still is annoying as hell.
