Damn Divisible, this is comedy, you're mad popular now. You've pulled on me before too but I guess the difference is I don't give a fuck. I get my licks in until you stop playing its all good.

Whats wrong with quiting? If you are getting annoyed perhaps it`s time you should take a break before you go and throw your 360 out the window.

 

I dont agree with this. I mean, of course there is a point when I realize that I am not going to win (after losing 20-30 games) but still, if the other guy is ok with it, I'll keep playing.

I will quit if somebody clearly doesnt want to play seriously...but that doesnt happen very often. Luckily for the most part VF players are quite dedicated.

There is nothing wrong with DMP+K and 2P spam. There is something wrong with your reaction to it.
Obviously, lag sucks and there are those who have more experience playing in lag than others. The playing field is even in the sense that it's usually as laggy for your opponent as it is for you. So in reality, there is no such thing as "lag abuse" because you can do the same thing that they're doing (like 2P at -13 to avoid a throw).

Don't blame the game or lag, blame yourself and you will grow as a player. Keep that pressure on YOU to figure out how to beat your opponent under the circumstances given.
For example, here's a scenario that might piss you off:
The connection is laggy. Your opponent keeps doing DMP+K to beat linear, half-circular attacks and even throws. When you block his DMP+K he's at -14 but when you go to throw him he manages to do another DMP+K to either beat your throw or cause a clash

What's wrong with that scenario? Is it
A) lag
B) DMP+K (it's broken and shouldn't be in the game)
C) your opponent is a dick (he shouldn't abuse lag like that)
D) you... you should really stop reacting with attacks that he can DMP+K out of.

The correct answer is D. Lag sucks but lag isn't the main problem. The problem is your choices. What you keep choosing to hit him with "SHOULD" work... but it's not... but you keep doing it anyway =/

Can't break your own habit of going for PK or a throw after blocking a move that leaves your opponent at -14? That's ok, it's not a terrible habit... it's just not working in this particular scenario. Soooo, switch.
Do a full circular. Playing as Akira? Do his catch throw or watch which way he's evading and punish properly.

Nothing in VF is unbeatable. Even with heavy lag. Some things become more powerful, some things become weaker but it's up to you to figure out how to outwit your opponent's reaction on both defense and offense.

but seriously, is it correct that on evade of Wolf's DMPK you are at frame neutral where all normal DMPKs you have a frame advantage? Thats what it seems like, cause I can never seem to land after I evade one unless I back dash - 1PK.

I hate Darth because he plays ok then resorts to DMPK spam when he gets spanked. It's a lame way to play IMO

Are you sure about that lag statement? I play people all the time that claim lag and it seems as good as XBL ever has for me, but to them it apparently is awful. Especially Japanese players, they never play cause of lag but it seems fine to me.

 

I think lag effects diferent people in different ways.

The more realistic and moral you play the more it's going to hurt you.

Props to people who can switch their game from "Online mode" to "Offline mode" on the fly though.

That's a talent I wish I had. Hell, I might have it. Don't play offline enough to be able to tell.

William Wallace only ever won one major battle as well and he was responsible for many needless deaths on the Scottish side of things.

Best thing he done was die as it supper on the Bruce to fight for and claim our independance. In fact, it was the Bruce's heart which was carried into battle, not Wallace's.

At any rate I think Sean Connery is probably more famous.

Yeah thats pretty much a done deal. I got One Bar once and it was playable. I cant remember the guy's name but he use Akira and he was pretty good. Whats crazy is there scrubs are way better than ours lol!!! They still possess the basic knowledge of VF which make the fights that much better IMO.

 

Yeah, just a 2007 heads up about that: lag is most certainly is asymetrical. Observe that there are multiple posters confirming this.

For the record, i've since confirmed this by talking to my opponent through a regular phone, switching off the sound of my own TV and hearing their side of the game. So when I pressed a button, i could see my character perform the attack on my TV screen but the sound of the attack on the telephone came after half a second. So his side lagged, mine didn't.

Certainly, Xeno is a greek player so lag is very noticeable. You're probably thinking that, "well, most of the time lag lag is not that pronounced". Maybe, but that doesn't mean it's any less asymetrical. And in VF, even a couple of frames can make a difference.

So the argument "in reality, there is no such thing as lag abuse" based on the assumption that "it's usually as laggy for your opponent as it is for you" doesn't hold that well.
