Because one time we played and I had two wins over you. The third time, you won and messaged me saying that you had to go. After that, I checked your profile and it said that you were playing Borderlands.

 

I don't remember that specific time, but I have played Borderlands with some friends who live far away but get xbox Live from time to time. Anytime you want to play, let me know. You can rescue me from Japancity who keeps stalking me like his name was JCBlack.

 

That guy still plays? I got him to quit once. I take it that's a rarity.

About that 2p.. I don't spam 2p i use it to stuff your auto pilot offense to hitcheck my moves since you think i play abare. As far as be spamming Elbow... what fucking elbow does jacky have? Mid yes! you block no! So why stop it then? I don't know what circle you play in but maybe they need to tell you what your doing wrong and help cause you look bad out there. You can box step pretty good but for what if its only after rounds? Yes im a shit talker to those that know me but i never said anything to you cause i don't play with you like that.

SDS Overfiend first off a man who names themselves after a hentai has either been jerking too long to jacky or just mild retardation. I think I'll choose the retardation. Bada-bing bada-boom.

I love how you write one sided stories that only benefit you as a reader, what a puss. In reality folks, I knew form the get go that his style is one of spam when shit dosen't go his way. Kinda like scratch, claw, spit in the eye to get results.

Having said that, I went into the match playing very basic vf wanting to hitcheck everything and watch what his possible 2-3 way choice was when mc 2p hit him. Let's just say it wasn't pretty from failed evade abare buffer, to beat knuckle in medium disadvantage etc. Never ever guard or a eteg, nani!!! I just don't understand that someone of his status on this site and his veteran knowledge would act in such a manner, lol.

Rearding Moveset
I tried hitchecking side turned moves and guess what it worked like 80% of the time with sarah's k+g. Reminds me of a squirrel twitching in these situations and bam there drops your nuts you just harvested.

Canned combo spam
During the matches I did notice alot of non-hitchecking canned combo to abare nitaku throw/physical attack. To me jacky seems like a very easy mid range hitting character with godly multi two pieces that if they whiff the first the second will somehow get you. I know a majority of them end in high due to denkai showing me that jacky's two main weaknesses are 2p after blocked 6p to keep attacker humble and duck high for free launch on whiff, thanks denkai. Still the amount this character has as a build just makes him deadly to auto condition you.

1P
low back fist has to be fast reaction to om+p to stomach to get crouch stagger with 14 frame followup. This move is another godlike strength he uses in every situation hitcheck or not. example: I knocked him down for oki and he just does mid rising early at -6 on block to 6p block to low backfist. 6p block to 1p, 3k block backdash 1p etc. etc. I just sat there wondering when will this guy either pay attention or is he really just gone on auto-pilot, because it felt like we were playing two different games.

Match Count
As far as the match goes 90% of them were down to the wire and 10% were either excellents for him or me. It seemed sometimes he was playing the game and then would just be auto-pilot. I do see a good player striving in him, but also trying to take the easy way out to get to the goal, tsk tsk..

Social Specualtion
You say offense sell tickets and defense wins the game then why did you send me messages stating that I shouldn't be so passive and I should boxstep more. I know I got to you and made you uncomfortable in the sense that you couldn't spam mid range garbage and reset nitaku for yourself and that the game was out of your comfort zone. I find that when I stop stepping I had more control and less with the stepping mid range whiff tekken style game. I think I will not sell tickets anymore.

Final Conclusion
You made alot of good guesses and won the majority of the matches, kudos. You seem like a decent player with skill and wanting to learn, but consider the lag and be cool to the other player in this sense. I do still want to play vs you and please don't exit the session when you feel it's not going your way. Lastly, once i research and figure out your shenanigans with jacky's build for vs. max dmg punishment you'll be reaching in that toolbox and jesus help you if you haven't another tool.

Alright, I'm chiming in. Now before the whole "ganging up" and all kinds of assumptions start rushing to anybody's yomi-lacking brain begins, I'm not here to attack Tim and defend O. I just want to clear something up about "shenanigans".

That said, here's my two cents on what some could call an A and B argument that I should C my way out of.
The reason that I feel the need to chime in is because Tim reaches a lot of players. Specially a lot of newer players. Now, leaving the past in the past and talking about the present and the future, here's why I think you need to open your mind, Tim.
That's right, like Total Recall. You need to "opennn your minnnnd"

Now, seriously, the other day I played a somebody who was holding back. I texted them and said something like "stop holding back". That player responded:
"My bad, it's just that I was playing Tim earlier and he hates it when I do *this or *that* He calls it shenanigans and gets upset"
Tim, that sucked. That really sucked. That player was holding back because of YOUR likes and dislikes. I won't give away any more details because this isn't about that player. It's about you and the effect that you have on newer players (not the vets cuz the vets could give a damn how you feel, they're going to run their game).

I regards to Overfiend's "shenanigans": I played O today and he did things that were outlandish, crazy, bizarre and downright "wrong" by some "moral" player's standards. Here's an example:

After he whiffed with Jacky's 33K at about arms length from me (bad alignment or something happened but he whiffed at Brad's arms length) I did a quick dash to throw. Now, can you guess what he did? Anybody?
At more than -15 Overfiend did another 33K
Now, guess what happened? Nope, no clash, I got launched.
Lesson learned? Don't think that you have a throw guaranteed just because your opponent whiffed a guaranteed-throw-move.

"But, but, but that's wrong! Your throw shoulda worked!"
Shoulda, woulda, coulda. Not only are we online but Overfiend went with his instinct and it worked. There are good players who can play off instinct and then there are players who don't know what the hell they are doing and they mash buttons and it's less instinct and more random shenanigans than anything. As you may know, Overfiend has been around fighting games for a while so it's more instinct than it is shenanigans.

There was a lot of "bs" that Overfiend did during our fights, such as: throwing while he was at disadvantage and such BUT... it worked.
Look, Tim, you can choose to play the game however you want but that's YOUR PREROGATIVE. Nobody tells you how to/not to play, do they? But, you know what I think it may boil down to with you sometimes?
Control.
You want a controlled environment and/or setting AND if your opponents could abide by what YOU consider RIGHT/WRONG then everything will be just fine... for you.

If an opponent sits there and mashes on 2P for 3 rounds and beats me, whose fault is it that I lost?

a)The game system. 2P is too strong.
b)My opponent. He doesn't "understand" the game well enough to know that THAT is not cool.
or (drumroll please)
c)Me. I should have blocked and taken my advantage.
Offline there is no excuse but online... laggy? Well, there are ways around ALL online "shenanigans".

Perfect example: next time that O tried to attack out of -15 plus I was going for a launcher. But here's where it gets interesting... he hardly did that again. He would do it if he READ that a throw was coming but here's where my READING comes in...

That depends, on what I think that you're going to do.

It's not about right or wrong, shenanigans or lag... it's about reading and outguessing your opponent.
Not to bring somebody else into this but you would HATE playing against Ladon. Because whatever you think he's going to do, he will do the complete opposite.

There are all types of players but to me most of them fall into 2 categories: predictable or unpredictable.

I agree with Tony 100%. (It's very obvious why you're one of the best players online.) VF is a game where you have to beat ALL of your opponents decisions. Don't restrict yourself nor another player. No one is gonna get better until we all get better

Oh and NEVER GIVE UP! That's all that losing is.

Everyone just needs to play offline more, cause sometimes playing online you create your own mental restrictions of what should and shouldn't work simply because it's being played online.

Tony, when you mentioned SDS doing high angle whiff, then doing it again to stop your throw? It will always work like that, if you hesitate and dash and all that anyway(but you know that, so I'm preaching to the choir here).

Kaminari, sometimes you just got to beat the respect into whomever you're facing. The unfortunate thing on the matter is Jacky only really looks good and powerful like that, vs Sarah, and that's it. Jacky got 99 problems of his own, some of which, Sarah also shares. But you can't just sit there and use your character as an excuse. If you know someone is going to attack, then you know exactly what moves you need to be doing to beat the moves, cause you've been using Sarah long enough to know. Jacky and Sarah just both lack the rewards, but instead of a weakness, just consider it a challenge that comes with picking them two, in that you need to be even more correct more often, than the next guy.

Often times, egos create glass ceilings. No one's going to look at you any less for losing matches. Whenever I play VF, all I do is barely win or lose vs every single opponent I've ever faced(from the best we have to offer, to some mid range up and comers), more often than not, anyway. That never ever discredited me in strong player's eyes, as being a strong player myself. I guess it takes one to know one.

The competitive player pool just isn't large and diverse enough, to showcase how strong players really are or can be though, against a wide assortment of players and styles.

Playing VF is just like personality clashes. A lot of times, player A can completely dominate player C, but have a very tough time being able to scrape wins against player B, sometimes if at all. Then player C, can body player B, free on a good day. And then there's also player D, that seems to fair pretty well and respectable against A, B, and C, but can't ever truly dominate any of them.

Kaminari, I think I remember one time you asked me how I was able to do well against gl0ry and denkai(Jackys) and such, and I think I just told you I would just do whatever. I think personally, you just mental block yourself, or give your opponents too much VF respect(you should, and shouldn't). You got to respect your opponents gangster, even if it might look random to you. Looks like SDS knows enough about the VF guidelines to break them vs you, cause you'd never expect it because you're only looking within the boundaries you set.

See the Thing is I've been playing against Denkai, Rod, Lucky GT for nights get my ass handed to me. Denkai worked me out 20 in a row and i vow never to let that happen again. Jacky vs Jacky.. No advantage there. Kaminari may think what im doing is random but its not just like what i once thought about these other guys with superior killer instincts. If going Abare works as a option like fuzzying or TE then shit use it.Its my duty to stop and make the wary of being punished my try it often. My 2p's are a ways of Stuffing your antics to your all out assaults. Sarah has options against 2p especially in her stance but your flow chart limits you of what you can exploit. Funny how me and Rod was talking and something i said was cool enough that he put it in his Signature on this site. I think you should read it sometime.
There where points in the match where i was mixing up my assault with Iageri kicks into lows and i can see and feel it that your head was fucked up. You choose to stand there waiting for that Big hit and it never came. Can't do that all the time. Light hits add up and condition opponents just as sweet.

The only reason that happen is because Multiples TE lead to that online. I would never attack out of -15 or throw. I would obviously input TE. Sometime i know my opponents habit and my decisions yields good rewards if not i won't try that shit again. But i mean Damn Why it gotta be "BS" though? There's no right or wrong way to play Vf.

At the End of the Day i play to win fuck what my losing opponent may think.He has options... He can tell his story walking, Hit the rematch button,Shut the fuck up and learn from his mistakes and say damn he caught me slippin last round. Simple.
