Oh so it's a joke. I was starting to wonder. From your half nekkid avatars to the half nekkid Guido you posted are you trying to tell us something.

Not that there's anything wrong with manlove.

 

I think the 2P is used as poking tool.

The thing about 2P is that that's the only move some characters have, to actually stop the opponents moves.

And then, you can 2P to push them out, then backdash evade or box step or do some crouch dash stuff to make fast things miss, so they'd have to use a move that reaches, which can often times get beat by another 2P on disadv. I bet you this is why you see ALOT of use of 3K sidekicks in play, cause that's probably the fastest mid most characters have, that will reach... and when the sidekick staggers, it's a 0f setup. But I think if you evade a sidekick you can punish it, but the problem is most characters got sidekick followups out the ass.

Going back to Sarah obviously though, since I'm only really familiar with her thoroughly for comparisons. She NEEDS 2P to stop the bullshit, it's faster than jackknife, plus she crouches right away obviously so that helps her defend against P. It also helps her deal with the billions of sabaki's, slippery moves, and reversals most other characters in the roster got.

The only problem with Sarah's 2P is that it has probably the shortest range in the roster, I aint even joking, test it out yourself, she's like a T-Rex. Then Aoi after that, I think Lucky was telling me.

So I guess what I'm saying is, the 2P is used but it's for a different reason that sometimes resembles that of a masher or noob hitting it multiple times and not looking. Cause I know if you get your 2P blocked, it's almost like instant bait to get someone to try and hit you back. A masher or a noob would probably keep hitting down 2P for the same reasons cause they're hitting the button down mad times, but someone that knows what's going on has taken note of you knowing what the options are so they tag you again.

 

What does it mean to "abuse" 2p? Is this like drug abuse where it is considered abusive if the user has problems brought on by the excessive use of 2p? It seems like you guys are saying that using 2p effectively is "abuse." You are not talking about players losing fights because they use 2p too much, right?

You get this from the VF4 EVO tutorials? I knew it went on a bit about how 2p is a very important and useful move but I don't remember the part you just quoted

 

I just googled 'Drug Abuse' found a suitable explanation then replaced 'Drug' with '2P'.

2P hating really stems from online play, well and the US in general. I never had anyone complain about 2P when I was in Japan. God I used to hear it in FL and a while back when I was in Nyc.

This whole 2p issue just goes to show who fuck listens and who don't. I guess everybody just love to hear themselves rattle on.

Thooooose were the days! The biggest comedy was when they saw the light and were like WAIT! 2P is fucking awesome! Integrated it into their game properly, studied up and became one of the strongest forces in US VF. I was like a father with a bastard child. *eye tear

If you complain about 2P offline I believe you should just admit you're garbage and move on. That's like complaining about throwing in Street Fighter. If you can't deal with 2P go play a game that DOESN'T have it.

 

BG's to VF online... For most of Saturday (afternoon / early evening) I tried hosting matches numerous times through out the day. At one point I sat there hosting a game listening to that god awesome repetitive music over and over again till finally I decided to sit at my PC and play some poker on facebook until someone joins.

Finally about 45 minutes to 1 hour later (I'm not making this up people) someone joined my session... and of course it was a zero to 1 bar connection. Poor guy probably felt like me... desperate and just wanted to play somebody so I guess after seeing just my name hosting for so long he probably said fuck it and joined. Well after the match was over I logged off and continued to play poker.

Well the good thing that came out of that day was I finally got a chance to go through the list of game demos that I had accumulated throughout the year. Damn I had shit on my HDD that date back to like 1 year ago hahahaha man I played so much VF and only VF I didn't even realize how many other cool games there are out there I need to get / play.

Played Ms. Pac-Man , Bayonetta demo (I considered buying it because the demo was so good, but thankfully Denkai reminded me it's a Sega game... no R fuck'em), played bubble bobble Remix , gave SF2:HD-Remix another go (wow when I'm not thinking about VF I actually do well at this game. Maybe I can play it after all if I really tried)... well I guess you guys get the point.

MAJOR BAD GAMES TO ONLINE VF... I WILL FIND A WAY TO REVITALIZE IT!

Oh yeah, I would put somebody here for one single bad game where they won and still left while mashing on PPP like I spam PPP or something but... #1 I won't mention their name and #2 they got a problem that is not mine or yours.
Plus, I'm sure that this person would love the attention... then again, I think they got enough negative attention to last them a lifetime, lol.

Lol, nah bro, Ced H Tone isn't a shit-talking douche, he's respectful and has been nothing but cool to me.
I don't mind his style at all and even if I did I wouldn't complain about it here. Only when lag is Schakal bad and you abuse lag-powered crap like DMP+K and I feel that I can't even move cuz it feels that I'm stuck in molasses that I may say something... but even then, I ain't mad at them, I'm more mad at the lag, lol.

BUT if you talk shit and you think that you are anything but shit when you're nothing but shit, then I might shit on you... although sometimes it's just a waste of fertilizer to do so

My bad to Ced H Tone for blowing him up like that, I just know shun's can get people pretty riled up though. I'm sure he hears that enough too though.

 

Haha, yeah, Shun is one of the axis of evil of VF but I can't complain about a character here. I've been playing this game long enough to know better than to complain about a character in the BG's thread, lol.

 

This Shun player did surprise me cuz I thought I have playerd with most US players. How come I lost him when he first time joined my session? He was very nice and I believed he can handle 80% players by his style. Just like Action said the only way to beat Ced H Tone is standing outside or doing the same moves by Shun. Good thing is he wasn't able to make himeself in the safe zone all the time so we still have the tiny chance to interrupt. I'm very surprised this Shun player and wondering is he on VFDC as well??
