Excuse me konjou, but i just have to point out that CFWhiteWorm is a vanessa player so he probably was reading your stances better than you did, which would explain why he had a good rate of success landing those counterhits.

EDIT: yes, i am referring to . If it were landing as normal hit, well, you have proven to most of us that you are able to fuzzy every retaliation so, yeah, i'm guessing it were landing as CH, otherwise you wouldn't be complaining Same goes with evade +.

 

I have no idea what you are talking about? What counter hits are you referring too? Originally my vent was about the abuse of and DM's. So I have no idea what you are talking about in regards to counter hits. And I have never seen White Worm play Vanessa so I wouldn't know if he doesn't play Vanessa well then I guess that explains why he was able to cripple my game so easy.

 

Sweet, I'll play anybody. One of the reasons why you probably never see me on now is because I literally haven't played on my own account regularly in almost a year. (Maybe 5 times tops) I'm going to be back online shortly though.

 

I'm not even sure how to respond to this post. I guess I should start by explaining my gamer tag motto, "you low punch too much". I say that because its a habit a lot of people online have, and its so exploitable. Its more a bit of advice than an insult to anyones playstyle. I mainly play characters who can do serious damage to low punchers (though all characters can punish 2p with spacing).

As for the match in question, I wasn't trying to piss anyone off. I was only trying to beat some of the frametraps that were thrown at me. Why would you complain about 2p when using Vane? She has the easiest anti-low in the game.

I didn't get upset with you for spamming dmpk, because I took your advice from your sig. I used your spam to try and get better. It was good practice for goh's full spinning mixup and delayed moves. The times when I was frustrated, I was mad at myself for not adapting. Such as, you would dmpk then low punch to stop the throw punish, and I should have been sabakiing the 2p. My fault for not learning.

I'm just surprised this match ended up in the bgs thread. I thought it was a good game.

PS. To Slide: I should explain myself for the last time we played. It was my first day trying a new character and you were using my main so I thought I had it in the bag. First mistake. You used a lot of frametraps and advantage very well and I thought I could poke my way out. Second mistake. I had a pretty bad attitude about VF then, so when you called me a masher I got really pissed. I look back on it and see you were right. I apologize for the things I said to you. There's no excuse for a grown man to act that way. Please accept my apologies and I hope we can play again sometime.

 

It's cool man, I accept. My bad for just flat out calling you a masher at the time too, I was a lil TOO blunt to a lot of players around that time frame. Also I'm sorry for bringing up old stuff.

I think it was partly due to how I was improving in the game at a quick rate at the time, and others that were playing more than me or had been playing for years prior(even ver B or something) and I had figured that maybe somebody should be blunt as hell about their game so they'd level like I was, because people were either blunt towards me or not even wanting to play me in the game at all or for only a tiny bit, until I had gotten better. I thought that at the time, maybe it would get people hype to improve instead of getting pissed at me, and the comp pool would get stronger.

Long story short, I thought people were being far too nice about player's games to the point of leaving criticism at the door to play nice, yet at the sametime not even really wanting to play someone because the player wasn't all that.

 

Not sure if this post was directed at me, but again I was just venting. And in regards to my DM's remember I ate about 3-4 of yours before I started tossing mines out there. Yes Vanessa has the best anti low in the game, but again like I said earlier I don't know Vanessa and my competitive said got the better of me for taking such a bad L.

Really I don't care you how play I was just salty because I got caught with my pants down while holding my Vanessa.

Wtf are you talking about?? If anyone gets a hard-on over customizing wolf its yourself since you keep rambling on about it. In fact ive seen one of your wolfs customizations on a youtube vid and yes he had white bottoms , silver boots , and a pink light arm bracelet heck if there was pink sunglasses available i wouldn't be totally surprised if you tarted him up in those also!!

o_0 ahhh what?! Well I'd say I sabaki your 2p almost as much as anyone else I have played. The fact that you admit you try to do it from advantage assures me of that because I mostly use 1p from disadvantage (Got to love that large sabaki window). I know how you feel about online. there were countless times that you attacked me when I am at +2 or more and when I try to do Vanessa’s 2_3+p I would get hit out of it. That’s the move that staggers you and I get a dirty combo after, TEE HEE! I was purposely 2p’ing that night afterwards cause I didn't like having my advantage taken away from me much like you felt. I got a question for you konjou. Can Vanessa sabaki SDE with 46k? The move is meant to sabaki elbows. And often times I tried to trick you into using SDE after my 2p or any other move with that kind of disadvantage, but sometimes it would lose to it. I’m not sure if it was due to lag or you actually doing DE when I thought it was SDE.

The 2p war was funny and ridiculous. I've notice something. Top Vf players in Japan abuse 2p. At least that is what I see from the many vids I have watched. I often see them do 2p, 2p even when the first one has been blocked. We both know when the skill level is higher, retaliation will not always be in a text book format cause that’s just to predictable. 2p, 2p is moral play in that sense. And I gave a fine example. If he really was just a random 2p whore than it wouldn't matter who I was using he would 2p none stop.

Do you ever pay attention to how they use it? They don't use it on Disadvantage or Abare. Your more than likely to see it as a stuffer/interupt by most top players. In most instances Japanese's players habit are so few that a 2p is just a set up for something else (Conditioner). Offline the reflexes are so good that 2p isn't that annoying because they all know each others few habits.

 

2p can be good OR bad.
