Bad Games Thread

Once you understand the system well, fundamental VF is basic. Breaking down nikatu is what it is now matter how many circulars, throws, delays, or titties you put into it. Any flow/move/setup can be exploited. Why would someone willingly trade something that's been working for the last 100 matches for something new? There's absolutely no point.

Persistence is a strength within itself, you gotta win above all else. Some of our strongest players have maps/charts they use to win. If you feel disrespected, who's fault is that? Some of you guys are playing the wrong damn game. Dispose of that tutu ASAP.

 

I played in5frames. I didn't see what white worm was talking about. but than again, I am not that great. so maybe that's why I didn't see it. hahaha

 

Stomp is the greatest, he is my sensei afterall. That's why I stomp so much. In my opinion and I've said this many times; if you are playing the game to have fun in your own way then do it! Just don't bitch about the player, bitch about the system. If theres a way around it utilizing the system then you have no reason to complain. You are just being selfish for not getting your way.

A certain extremely defensive player comes to mind that rattled the cages of a few people some time ago. Oh yeah...

I had one match with in5frames, and I think he's really good at VF.
Depends on the stepping, I think he might be Yosuke.

to be honest, i've always put an irrational amount of weight on being unique. I like to think i have my own personal style, and like to play other people who play their character in a unique and noticeably individual way.

This is why i like the way certain players play. Vf#'s. Weiand (for sure!!). Borisofwales. Panther neogeo. tfam. And others. OF course i could put some of the american elite on there, but i think it becomes a bit trite to list them at a certain point.

 

I'll say this in5frames mocked my after match wobble and the like when I didn't even do it to him beforehand. He knows my steelo so it's probably someone you all know.

 

I'll leave this alone after this last: I guess my thoughts are that if the player in question is giving the game their all within a very specific/stripped down moveset then they are at the top of their game.

The reality of VF (likely any fighting game) is that it all boils down to a finite set of choices (people always reference RPS) and all the window dressing with multiple moves doesn't really change that. Those choices are the backbone of the game and player style branches out from that.

I actually got jazzed playing in5frames because he's a VF moveset haiku. stripped down to the most basic choices and still powerful. I think it is much harder to play that way.

I never really thought it might be a duplicate account of an existing member until it was brought up in this thread. if true, it would be interesting to see who.

Wow i really made In5frames kinda famous around here eh,no need to thank me 5 but my only beef was that one match we had were u would spam everytime u knocked me down with Lei-Fei,other than that weather i win or lose doesn't mean anything anymore im just trying to get better

 

That's a great attitude. You will get farther with that mindset than with a huge sensitive ego.

 

I would guess 5frames is either a foreigner, or someone who has played for a long time and is just alternating between safe and obnoxious-safe play styles. And even if he uses the more aggressive belligerent styles, he still is working hard on D to avoid getting punished for it. If it is a native, I don't see why he would want to pay $50 for an account just to be the anonymous alpha monkey throwing feces on everybody.

 

$50 for an extra account? how come??

Nah some idiot made like 10 accounts and ruined it for everybody.

 

#1) many people have speculated its cozby, who is notorious for having numerous accounts.

#2) you wouldn't have to do a full year membership, can just do a one monther.

 

am i missing something? in5frames is solid, but he isn't that good to be called an alpha anything. I found him to be a solid, if a somewhat underwhelming opponent. And that was using a lei fei that i have scarcely played in 3 months. We split games exactly even, if had been in practice with lei, i do not think it would have been too close...

 

Maybe he is weaker than I thought and his style just messed with my mind. I don't know...

 

Some people just have a harder time playing certain playstyles. I haven't been online in a minute but the few times I played in5frames it was pretty even.

I still say it's someone thats a native, he tried to get under my
skin mocking my Jeffry dance one too many times. The first time I played him in particularly.....reminds me of SPLASH MOUNTAIN a friend of mine really.

 

So some idiot named Skullcrusher09 got me a few times because his profile said Japan and I was seriously
expecting some top-level play (lulz) El Blaze's DMP+K ->Rocket Discharge + overseas lag= awesome! XD
Yeah, he got me a few times but once I figured out that it was a DMP+K scrub, it was lights out

Anyway, here are some of the messages that followed after I joined his session, he won and then left:
"FUCK LOSER!!!!!!!!! A HA HA HA HA HA ~ ~ ~"

So he leaves and then hosts again. I join again, I win and leave and then he sends me this message:
"Oh you very STRONG!!!!!!!!!! A HA HA ~ ~ ~"

I never replied to any of his messages (why bother?) so he sends me another one:
"come on!!!!! CHICKEN O HO HO ~ ~ ~"

Not sure if this is Darthy but he had the DMP+K + overseas lag thing going so maybe it's him.
